Staffordshire Moorlands District : séjours à la ferme

A few friends and I visit this place twice a year to hangout and play some games on the enormous dining table. We've done this for a few years now and wouldn't look anywhere else. Everything is always really clean and tidy, the area is absolutely stunning and quiet and Paul is always great. Can't fault it.

We had a great time in Lynsey’s ‘Little Barn’. It was both quirky and cosy and our kids were really excited about the mezzanine bedrooms and the table football. The barn’s in a stunning location and it was very quiet and peaceful. Lynsey was a responsive host but also respected our privacy. We would highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Cottage for Christmas 2024 and had the most relaxing a brilliant time. The place is really spacious for our two kids. Twos to play with and space to run around. Tina is an excellent host. Everything is well organised and well stocked. She was also really thoughtful and kind in thinking of our 1 year olds birthday. I’ve stayed at many air bnbs but few can match the hospitality and thoughtfulness of this place!

Just back from a 3 night stay at the cottage and it was perfect for our family. The cottage was so warm and cosy. It had everything we needed and was a home away from home. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings on a farm. Would definitely 100% recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at Pinfold Barns to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday. The location was perfect—peaceful, beautiful surroundings and ideally situated for meeting up with family travelling from the Wirral. The barn was spacious, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxed and memorable weekend. Alison was incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind throughout our stay. A small issue with the tap was fixed quickly and without any hassle, which we really appreciated. The place was also fantastic for the kids—plenty of games to keep them entertained, and they were especially fascinated by the collection of CDs (or “records,” as they called them!). They had a great time picking some out and playing them. Overall, a perfect place for a special family gathering. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in Linda's chicken barn. The owner is so thoughtful with welcome notes and wine on our arrival. The barn is fully equipped with lots of towels, things for quick breakfast and hot drinks, real feel home and comfortable. The barn is well decorated with chicken farm items. We even found the perfect BBQ kits and equipment to have a BBQ on second day of our arrival, that was really blessing. The layout of the barn was a surprise, but we quickly grown love it. The location is beautiful and quiet. Many hiking routes at the footsteps. We are a couple with two grown-up boys. We found so much to do in the area, boys found lots of climbing (bouldering). Together we did hiking, walking through gorges, caves. These places are all in 40 minutes driving distance. Many thanks for the barn, the loving and caring you have put in.

The barns are absolutely stunning with lovely views, and it's such a wonderful space for friends to gather. We had an amazing weekend, and the final touches added were perfect. Highly recommended.

Thank you for a lovely stay! We came for a hiking holiday and this property was in such a lovely location. We walked up Curbar edge on our arrival day and watched the sunset which was a highlight of our trip! A beautiful property in a fab location! And thank you for the delicious cake :)

Thoroughly enjoyed a family weekend away staying at rill cottage. Lovely and cosy, with some really nice extra touches to make you feel at home. Ideal location for walks and eating out with the Manifold Inn being a 2 min walk away. Hopefully will return in the future.

A beautifully clean and well equipped little home. Lovely dog friendly touches - welcome dog treats, a blanket for the dogs to go on the sofa and a secure garden area (a highlight for us!). Location was perfect for exploring too. We loved our stay! Such welcoming hosts and their furry entourage too - thank you Bob & Paula ☺️

Definitely coming back! A clean, cosy, modern but homely place. Perfectly placed near some great walking and bouldering spots. Had a great weekend of food, board games and outdoor activities. Val is a helpful and responsive host, gave us all the info we needed before arrival. The instruction booklet has everything you need in it too. The space is well thought out to make as much of it as possible but all the little touches make it feel like a cosy cottage. Had a great weekend with friends and can’t wait to come back 😊

Highly recommend this for singles or couples wanting a recharge. Loads of wonderful walks in the local area and a lovely pub serving food just a stones throw away. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the accommodation had everything needed and more.

My family and I are regular visitors to Alton towers to attend the running weekend and would usually stay in one of the resorts hotels. We were unable to book a room this time around but I am glad this was the case. Jenny's accommodation turned out to be a much better alternative. The place was immaculately clean, easy to find, peaceful and spacecious for my family of 3. Jenny was a very friendly host and we hope to stay here again next year.

Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. We felt at home in the cottage and had a lovely relaxing time for oursleves and my brother and law and his wife. Everything we wanted was to hand, we cooked one night and went to the Cheshire Cheese pub (only a couple of minutes walk away) for a great meal on the second night. Communication with Chris was great ahead of our visit and we saw him for a chat while we were there, a great friendly host. Despite poor weather we still got a good walk on the hills. We're so happy and relaxed after a lovely weekend and thoroughly recommend The Oaks / Barn at Mead Farm. Noel.

What can I say about this place.. 100 things 100 times over!! I did not want to leave! On top of the amazing customer service despite it being a self check in, I felt super welcome immediately and made to sure his property which was absolutely to die for stunning; And looks far better than the photos lead on to believe, was kept squeaky clean and decluttered, exactly how it was when we arrived! Was meant to be only a simple stay for us as we intended on doing hikes in the local area but it ended up being the total highlight of our trip! Being able to allow our four dogs off leash from the front door of the property with no worries was absolutely amazing and they all extremely enjoyable the independence and joy of well kept, Clean grass, and the completely enclosed area surrounding ten Entire property, part of it with the main castle and part of it completely private with the hot tub and sauna to the rear. Never have I ever felt so secure in a property than this home. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely brilliant place. Chris and Pru are amazing hosts, such lovely people and so easy to talk too! The cottage was perfect, the location was also great. Had such a great time, would so love to come back!

We enjoyed a couple of nights to visit friends in Chester and explore the local area. Adam’s place is lovely and quiet with only the birdsong and some good local pubs to enjoy. Recommend if you’re visiting the Knutsford area.

What a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful village. The property is absolutely perfect, so clean and very well equipped. Thoughtfully decorated for Christmas with some gifts under the tree for us. A lovely, friendly pub in the village that does a great Sunday roast. I highly recommend staying at Sam’s place.

What a stunning location, the Cowshed was cosy and inviting , everything was just right. Our hosts were wonderful, very friendly , proactive and made us feel right at home there. The location was idyllic surrounded by countryside and the views were unbelievable , every time you looked out of the window a stunning view. We had such a lovely time and would recommend this in a heartbeat. Lots of thought had gone into adding those little details which make it extra special like the local produce supplied to the items in the cottage. We wanted for nothing and could see all the hard work and love that had gone into making this such a lovely place to stay. Thank you Neil and Naomi for all that you did to make our family stay so wonderful and we will treasure the memories we made there. Thank you again we would recommend this to anyone

We absolutely loved this place for a peaceful, private getaway. Family friendly, pretty easy to find and had everything wr needed to cook and relax. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone looking for a quiet getaway 😊

The property is in a quiet location on a working organic farm surrounded by beautiful countryside. Locally there are a number of picturesque villages, places to visit and country pubs. The property is clean and comfortable. Karen and Jonathan couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel at home. Many thanks to Karen and Jonathan and hopefully we will be able to stay again.
