Retreat in a Stunning House

I can't say enough about this place and how amazing Mira and Katy were! I wish we would have discovered this AirBnb when our daughter was a Freshman at Iowa State! I stumbled upon this place randomly, and decided we had to try it vs staying at the Gateway like we have for 4 years now. I wish we had more time. Just looking through the books had me fascinated. There are so many books to look through! We had a quiet Friday evening with our daughter at the house, made fondue and snacks, and woke up Saturday morning in the lower level master suite with 2 deer greeting us. I loved every second of our stay, and told Katy it was by far the best AirBnb we have ever been in. I just wish it was available for graduation weekend! This place is a gem, and reading about the architecture, and finding out that there is a connection to Iowa State (teaching there) just made it even better. If you're contemplating booking here... Don't! It's so perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at Alexander's! Sparkling clean, well -appointed kitchen, and gorgeous view of downtown Des Moines. Alexander was quick to respond to questions and was flexible with our check-in time which we really appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Spacious Getaway Townhome on Lake Panorama/Golf

We really enjoyed our stay at Bill's townhome. Bill was readily available to help with our planning and made us feel right at home. He even helped my brother secure another unit at the last minute when his reservations fell through. Bill's home was extremely clean, well located for our time at the lake, and the bed was so comfy! We really appreciated all of Bill's help and hospitality during our family reunion weekend at Lake Panorama and we look forward to staying there again!

A small group of ladies stayed for a weekend retreat. We had a wonderful stay—the house is HUGE! It kept going and going with plenty of rooms, beds, bathrooms, and spaces to hang out. It was equipped with everything we needed to relax, fellowship, and enjoy the time together. The decor, wallpaper, and style was beautiful. Emily has such an eye for interior design.

The house was the perfect place for our weekend wedding dress shopping getaway! The kitchen was well stocked making it simple to cook for our small group and the coffee syrups were a great welcoming touch! Beautiful natural tone modern decor throughout the house with cozy touches in every room that made it a very relaxing place to stay!

This place was serene, peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we needed when we wanted to get away. We lived the quiet and the simplicity! We will be back, for sure!

A farm get-a-way

Molly was a great host and very helpful when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable for our family. Her home was very clean, the furniture was really comfortable, and the home was on an active farm surrounded by beautiful and peaceful farm land. The home is also only about 10 minutes to Adel which has a cute little downtown area with several resturants and only about a half hour to the West end of Des Moines which had a lot of shopping and activity. It was a perfect stay for us.

This pictures don’t do this place justice. Beautiful house. Very spacious. The outside was amazing. The views will make you think like you’re in Montana; prairie views for miles. The back of the house had 2 big decks. One with patio furniture and a hot tub along with three different grills. The downstairs had a fire pit along with furniture to enjoy the fire. The walk down to the river was as very enjoyable. A nice wide path you could even drive on. Overall this place was amazing and we will be back again.
