I booked the house for 6 adults and we were very satisfied with our stay. The house was nice and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen/living room were fantastic and offered a great place for us all to hang out. The house and surroundings were relaxing and we enjoyed the hot tub and the fishing dock. We saw a lot of wildlife and enjoyed a nice walks around the lake. Olena was nice and responsive and we'd rent from her again.

Our stay was fantastic! Great communication from the owner, and we had a great time! Will book again in the future if we plan a trip to the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet, pet friendly neighborhood with lovely views of the river. Everything we needed was provided and we liked the layout of the house. Regarding sleeping accommodations, there are beds for 6 people (2 queens with twin bunks above each) and additional sleeping options are provided via a pull-out sofa and 2 futons.

This place was so much fun! Busy and quirky but in a fun way. I had never seen anything like some of the decor and it was really interesting and cool to look at. Big fenced in backyard for our dog. We used this as a home base for Starved Rock State Park and Matthiesen State Park. Only 30 min from those places and 30 min from Ottawa (cool down town). I would definitely do it again.

We enjoyed our stay with our kids and family at this spacious home. Everything was as described and the pool/hot tub was a hit. we walked to town for food/groceries/dessert so it was a great deal. the local park was also a nice plus for the little ones. overall, fantastic stay. Would only mention, there are lots of stairs in case you have very little kids or elder people, we did fine but that is something to consider. great place, great host.

Fantastic, cozy and comfortable. Easy drive to Starved Rock, but also close to great restaurants in downtown Ottawa. Impeccably clean, with a great kitchen. And a large backyard for your kids to blow off steam! Jennifer was easy to work with and responsive. A great stay!

The perfect place for a girlfriend get together. We celebrated a friend’s retirement and knew we wanted a comfy, easy drive, stay up all night and talk type of place. We were so pleased with the accommodations - the best couch to sit on and share years of memories through hours and hours of conversations. Awesome kitchen with everything we needed. Such a sweet place to stay with great friends. Felt like being at home.

Ted is an outstanding host! Every question I had he responded quickly. He was very friendly and his communication was great. I would definitely recommend Ted and his place. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house was so beautiful, beds very comfortable, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It was a very comfortable and relaxing home. The host was just wonderful, always available and communicated kindly. We will be back again as our stay was just so wonderful!

We had a wonderful long weekend at this piece of history. The property is beautiful and very private. You can tell the owners care about the home and maintaining its history. This was hands down the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen at an Airbnb! Lots of linens and towels back ups provided. We had one rain day and we had fun playing many of the games made available to us. (which are countless) We now also want a mini pool table lol. Being able to get in the hot tub after a long day of hiking also was incredible. We will definitely be back!

So easy to work with and accommodating. They responded quickly to request and even ran us an extra air mattress when we forgot one. Everyone that stayed was very pleased with the service.

Great stay for a New Years Eve wedding in the area. Home had everything we needed. Loved the decor. Very comfortable.

The home was missing a few necessities but the owner was responsive and brought the items within the hour.

Great little place to stay, well taken care of too. Would like some more instructions on how the house is expected to look. Just to make sure we, as guests, are doing all we can. Would recommend otherwise though!

Beachside oasis. Lovely for adults and little kids (mine were 4 & 6 years old). The kids loved the private sandy beach with sand toys and floaty water toys. The adults loved the stand up paddle board, kayaks, and fishing. The house was exactly as pictured with thoughtful touches throughout. Would totally stay again!

This home was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the 1950s decore to having modern amenities like TV and A/C, this place was a incredible jump back in time. After this weekend, my now Fiancé (purposed tto in beautiful Ottawa during this trip) cried as we pulled into the driveway. We have wanted to stay in the very rare and amazing Lustron Home for quite some time. I have never stayed at a more relaxing or peaceful place when traveling ever! The history decorated throught the walls and the many touches around the home feel inviting and tells a great story. Karen was great and easy to communicate with. Leaving a bottle champagne ment worlds to us, your amazing! We actually found it difficult to leave, we wanted to stay more! There is no doubt we will be back again. Thank you Karen for inviting us into your home and letting us witness History!

Nice older style accommodation with character, in a nice and friendly small town. The accommodation had everything we required for our stay.

Nice place in a nice neighborhood. Wifi was amazing around 500Mb/s, so perfect for the days when I had to do some work at the house. Kitchen was a little light in what was stocked, there was only a few plates and bowls but at least there was a dishwasher with enough detergent that it wasn’t really an issue. Other than that, great place.

We rented this charming home blocks away from my parents home to make a convenient visit. Home is beautifully remodeled with updated amenities while still keeping true to the homes original bones. Beds were comfortable, plenty of space for relaxing, 2 TV’s so kids could watch what they wanted and internet access for our down times. Kitchen is amazing though we only used it for snacks and drinks. Air conditioning was perfect as it was a scorcher during our visit and excellent water pressure. The neighborhood was peaceful and more than anything it saved us from driving to a hotel when we were tired. I’m so glad there is a beautiful, comfortable and peaceful DePue AirBnb near my family. We will certainly be back again!
