We had a lovely stay at Francesca's home to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. 6 adults and 3 children were easily accommodated, and the space allowed us to have a fun catch-up. Fran's printed information sheets were great, and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Friendly, responsive host. We hope to be back!

Fabulous lodge, beautifully decorated for Christmas with a lovely festive welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. The beds were comfy and a good size unlike other lodges we've stayed in. Peaceful site which is close to plenty of restaurants and other amenities. Good communication from the host. We had a perfect family Christmas staying here and enjoyed it so much, we've already booked another stay.

We recently stayed at this beautiful Airbnb to celebrate my brother-in-law’s 30th birthday with the whole family, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice! The house itself is absolutely stunning – so spacious, stylish, and comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect, just 10 minutes from the center where you’ll find all the shops and restaurants you could need. One of the highlights was the hot tub – it was HUGE! We were all amazed by its size and spent so much time relaxing in it. Another bonus was the view from the bedrooms, overlooking the horses and sheep. It made waking up in the morning feel extra special. We’ve already recommended this place to our friends and family and would love to return in the future. If you're looking for a place to relax, celebrate, and enjoy some peace and quiet without being too far from the action, this is definitely the spot!

We had a great weekend at Fir Garth. The house was well equipped for our group of 10: Good sized en-suite bedrooms with comfy beds and cosy duvets, a really well equipped kitchen ( we did lots of cooking), the main living was a great sized space, a projector, games, an extra snug room, outdoor space etc. The location was excellent, pub and shop within walking distance, excellent walks in the area, a beautiful view, quiet, easily accessible. We all agreed we would definitely come to the house again.

We went to Cathy’s place for a girly weekend away and her house was absolutely stunning! Was spotlessly clean & Cathy was so responsive with any questions or queries we had. The kitchen was fully equipped & we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights in October 2024 and it was just what we needed. Had some beautiful long walks along the beach. The caravan was home from home, clean and cosy. It had everything you could want for cooking a simple breakfast to Sunday Roast. Clean and respectful surroundings around the park. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Lingmell is a perfect place to stay - perched on a quite street above bustling and workmanlike Ambleside with steep but easy access to local shops & cafes as well as nearby walks and the park. Unassuming from the front, it opens up to elevated views over the town and Loughrigg Fell opposite - you could spend all day just watching the weather and the hills. But you can't...there is so much to do: walks, waterfalls, coffee shops, Zefirelli's (for cinema & jazz), boats on Lake Windermere...everywhere is pretty close. And finally, if you have the energy, there is the pool and spa, run by the entertaining management team! And Garth is always at hand if you need anything...a big 'Thank You' from us!

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Fantastic property, amazing facilities and very close to local amenities. David responded very quickly to any queries and was very helpful.

Would 100% recommend staying at the Riverain Coach House. We recently stayed with some friends and enjoyed local walks close to the house, a good selection of local pubs nearby but would recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment. However with Penrith and shops being only 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem. The house has been done up beautifully and is really well equipped. Christine was great, providing lots of helpful information before our stay and the welcome hamper went down a treat. Thank you so much, we would 100% stay again.

Beautiful house in a great location a short walk from Keswick. Modern and high end finish to the house and had everything we needed for our stay. We visit Keswick on a regular basis and this has been one of our best visits yet!

I had a wonderful relaxing stay with my elderly parents. Georgie gave me so much information and loads of tips during the week, and generally was super friendly and helpful. Her place was warm, welcoming, and very well kitted out for a family week. The location in Bowness village is ideal, just on the edge of the busy tourist area only a few minutes walk away, and very close to everything. The bus stop is right outside the guest house which is spot on for the 599 which goes around the Windermere and Grasmere area and is a great sight-seeing option. Thanks Georgie for a lovely stay, highly recommend your lovely place and hospitality!

Our little family of 3 absolutely loved our stay. The view from the living room is amazing and very cosy with the wood stove. Very comfortable and well thought out space with everything you need. Will definitely be back! thanks!

Pristine place to stay - amazing host!! Really close to the all basic amenities - amazing stay in Kendal.

We had the most wonderful 2-night stay at Gornal Ground House in the Lake District. The house was absolutely beautiful – full of character, spotlessly clean, and incredibly peaceful. It was the perfect base for exploring the Lakes, and the views were stunning. Everything was exactly as described, and we felt right at home. A truly relaxing getaway – we’d love to return!

Fantastic stay. Sara was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. House is a great location, easy to get to from the motorway and 5 minutes walk from the beach. House had everything we needed for 6 adults, 3 kids and a dog travelling from opposite ends of the UK. It was like a home away from home. Good kitchen and bathrooms and large, nicely decorated bedrooms, living room and dining room. Drive big enough for 3 cars and enclosed garden. Lots of recommendations of things to do in the local area.

An absolutely amazing place. We found ourselves at home and with all the convenient amenities required for a great holiday. Very spacious and situated in a perfect location. Above all, Brenda was simply amazing, taking time to explain everything and giving us excellent recommendations. She was so helpful and always contactable. We will certainly be returning to this beautiful cottage.

Very happy with our stay, perfect location to stay for going walking in the Lake District and the log heated hot tub was excellent after an early morning of walking! Thank you 🙂

Could not recommend this place more. Just returned from a short break with my family at this stunning home. Hosts were friendly and helpful, location perfect and the home was comfortable and well equipped. Gardens and views stunning! We will be back!

We had a fantastic weekend away with friends in Upper Oak House. The house is beautiful and very well equipped, the hot tub being an added bonus. The house was spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. It’s in a great location with Windermere high street, with its great range of shops and restaurants just a 5 minute walk away. Bowness is a 25 minute walk away but there are regular buses which only take 5 minutes. We will definitely be back!

An absolutely lovely house. Will definitely be going back. Really well equipped and welcoming. Looks as amazing in real life as it does on the photos. Perfect location, two brilliant pubs in the village and stunning walks and scenery. We had a fabulous time and would thoroughly recommend.
