Great place. Super affordable. Clean and quite and shady. Heat pump cooled the place great even on 90 degree days. Perfect for a couple. Second bedroom was tight but is was just the 2 of us. We didn't see anybody all 4 days. Tennessee hospitality was unsurpassed. Everybody we ran into on the lake welcomed us to the state. Loved the circular drive for ease of pulling my bass boat in and out, power for recharging my batteries and walking distance to a wonderful free boat launch. No lake fee or permits needed. The lake was amazing and super swimmable. Make sure to check out the rock shoal right where the finger enters the main river. There is a protected little pool behind the shoal. We ran down to Pirates cove for refreshments. Cool little resort and marina. Ran up the lake to the state park and down to the historic railroad bridge with no problem. More kitchen appliances and small wares than some commercial kitchens I've worked in. Bring charcoal and firewood for the grill and big fire

Freddie was an excellent host, very responsive and gave us great recommendations. The place was very comfortable and I travelled with my infant daughter and he even had a highchair which was very useful. Highly recommend this place!

Great location! I had business in Dover and the rental was close enough to civilization to grab some good local eats but was off the main road far enough that it felt like retreat. The view of the lake out of the large windows a wonderful site to wake up and drink your morning cup of coffee to. The beds were comfortable. And the unit had all the accommodations you could need during your stay. There were a few board games and card games that we enjoyed playing with our teenager. It was overall just a great place to relax and spend time with family.

We enjoyed our stay and felt good about the price. Everything we needed was available. The communication was also good.

We actually rented 2 houses for our large family vacation which were next to each other. Both had beautiful views, were fully stocked, and very comfortable. Tracie and Rob were wonderful - friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Very grateful for the carts to take down the hill to the lake and back, especially since we had our parents with us who have mobility issues. We were also able to rent a pontoon from them for the week which was a big hit. I would highly recommend staying at any of their properties.

It was a great place with a mix of old southern charm and modern amenities, the only interesting thing that happened was there was a couple staying next door and they decided to set a blow up mattress on the middle of the lawn in the back yard lol, also water was low at the dock but we managed to get the boat in and out, had a blast and looking forward to coming back!!! Very nice place to stay. Quiet little neighborhood. All the neighbors we happened to run into to were very friendly. Just a short walk to the lake. The kids loved looking for different shells that had washed up on the shore. Miss Kay’s is also within walking distance. There you will find great food and amazing hospitality.

We all enjoyed our family vacation on the lake!! The view is beautiful, we made friends with the neighborhood dogs who came to say hello, enjoyed walks to the dock in the morning for coffee, and peaceful evenings on the deck. The house was clean and organized with everything we needed, and I really appreciated the fact that there was an extra fan in each room. Laurie was a great host and very responsive.

Perfect space to sleep and shower while spending the day outdoors.

We booked this location some time ago. Unfortunately we live in South Georgia and were hit very hard by hurricane Helene. We were without water and power for a week. All counties around us suffered even harder. The last thing on our minds was this trip, and we missed it. This wonderful group of people reached out to us and let us rebook for a few weeks later with no problem. I can’t begin to tell you how thankful and genuinely surprised I am by their kindness and graciousness. I will be making a trip here often.

This condo exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and had everything we needed plus more. You can’t beat the location and view. Beds were very comfortable. Loved having access to the garage, most condos we’ve stayed in keep the garage locked. Made unloading so much easier and gave us a place to sit outside without being in the sun. Mason was a great host and made us feel at home the moment we walked in. We absolutely will stay here again!!

We absolutely loved staying at this cottage. Perfect for our vacation. Close to the lake( right out the back door) and restaurants/amenities but also allowed us the privacy to rest and relax. Would definitely recommend this cottage when visiting the area.

This is such a beautiful location right on the beach and right next to the playground! It was such a peaceful vacation spot. We really enjoyed the condo. Plenty of beds and televisions and all the amenities you could ask for.

We loved staying at the resort, what a great place and wonderful management!! Rooms are so clean and pool is superb! Food was excellent!!!

I can't say enough about our great experience at Ron and Kathy's! The place is exactly as described, warm and welcoming. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch listening to the birds and the water lapping at the shore. We also had a campfire one night and watched the sunset. If you need some peaceful and quiet days this is the place for you! Ron and Kathy were so friendly and helpful with local fishing recommendations. 😊 We would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation was just as I had expected, and the facilities were superbly maintained. I had a peaceful and comfortable vacation.

This lakeside getaway was absolutely perfect! The hosts thought of everything, making our stay effortless and enjoyable. The home was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with stunning lake views. They went above and beyond by providing breakfast essentials like pancake mix, coffee, and even s’mores supplies for the fire pit. The beds were super comfortable, and the house was stocked with games, books, and extra toiletries. Outside, we enjoyed the hottub, fishing and relaxing by the fire with plenty of seating and firewood. The thoughtful touches, like a welcome note and local recommendations, made us feel so cared for. It’s the ideal getaway for relaxation or family fun—highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem. Great place to stay and have events. Attended my nephew's wedding here with family. Beautiful time that exceeded our expectations. Planning to have a family reunion there. Staff was awesome from beginning to end.

We met our Murray State daughter for a few days with extended family, and the house was the perfect location for our get together! Very clean, large and spacious accommodations. We loved the hot tub, gorgeous view of the lake, we had a few kids with us and enjoyed some leisurely hiking and the playground and beach area of the campground. Beds were comfortable, even the air mattress had a very comfortable memory foam topper that made it a great option as well! Loved the outside area, grilled out one night and had the coals and everything we needed for our burgers and hot dogs. Kitchen could have used some oil or a few other spices, but not a big deal. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area, such a beautiful location and great escape to the lake!

Jay and Autumn’s home was a perfect retreat for a winter weekend. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room afforded gorgeous views of Lake Barkley, complete with four eagle sightings! The home is cozy, comfortable and inviting, and everything was clean and well-maintained. They were extremely responsive hosts. We would love to stay here again!
