had a beautiful weekend at this private cottage! could really see the thought that went into this listing- the hot tub being heated ready, robes being available for guests after the hottub, dog treats/bowls being left. The cottage was decorated lovely, the photos don't do this place justice. Tom was very responsive the whole time and was very accommodating allowing us to check out slightly later due to us getting picked up at 12 and the cottage not being booked that evening. will definitely stay again, hopefully in the summer when we can make better use of the beautifully finished outdoor area.

We have just returned from a lovely stay here at the Byre. The accommodation is exactly as described and the hosts were fantastic, providing lovely touches such as welcome baskets for us and the dogs. The location is great for exploring the local seaside towns, and very private. I would certainly recommend and would stay again.

Everything about this venue is lovely. Dog friendly, nice decor inside. 200m walk to a local pub which served great food. The WiFi struggled at times but only a minor issue as there was absolutely no signal on my phone. The only downside to the whole stay is that I was charged £50 to use the hot tub for two nights and I had to heat it myself as it was a natural one. If I was using their electric then fair enough but using extra wood (that I brought just in case) to do it myself, the price felt excessive. Also having spoken to family about some of the places they had stayed the cleaning fee of £50 felt a touch high compared to other properties of similar size. A few minor issues but overall a superb location and would recommend to others.

We had 4 nights in this cottage and it was ideal for us. We wanted a base to explore Richmond and surrounding countryside - we don't drive, the location was great. The cottage had everything we needed to relax. The bed was comfy. The gas fire in the living room was cosy. The hot tub was a treat. The photos and description are accurate. Some pre-trip questions for the host were answered quickly. Definitely recommend this place.

Ivy Cottage is a gem 💎. Jane is a great host, great communication and flexibility. The cottage is spacious with a homely feel. We loved all the fairy lights outside, it looked very magical. Great place to have a family get together. The hot tub and games room are fantastic. We loved the small touches around the house, including the towels, bathrobes and crocs for the hot tub. The welcome package also a lovely touch, included eggs from Jane's hens, which made tasty scrambled eggs. The location is a great base and lots of places nearby. The cottage is also great if you just want to stay put and chill, you have everything you need.

We had such a lovely stay at The Nest - the place is super cosy and perfect for a relaxing get away. Everything was super easy, from communication to check in/out and finding the place. Great location and beautiful setting. Hot tub was fab! We had dinner at The Wellington Heifer one night which is a 10 minute walk away and would recommend.

Great stay with partner and dog . Enclosed area, breakfast included and good place for walking the Cleveland way. Debbie was very attentive.

Four of us have just spent 3 nights in Peewit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we all felt right at home, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable too! Everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay was provided. Having the private hot tub was fabulous, we loved it after full days of being tourists in the local area. On a separate note, we would highly recommend a visit to Beamish Museum which was about a 30 min drive, we also spent a day in Durham City & booked a 2.5 hr History/City Tour with walkaboutdurham - highly recommended. Tour Guide Peter is very knowledgeable & so passionate about his job plus he gives everyone a "free" cocktail voucher for Turtle Bay - well deserved after 2.5hrs walking around the City 🤣🤣

An absolute gem of a find, this cottage overlooking the beck and the beautiful harbour! The cottage is lovely and comfortable, great history to this 17th century fisherman's cottage. As always, Staithes is stunning. Jackie has been incredibly responsive and helpful to any questions we had. Highly recommend Jackie's cottage. We certainly will be back!

Absolutely perfect little get away in a lovely area. My girlfriend really liked it and wants to go again. Very cosy and private place with a little garden for the dogs. Beautiful surroundings will 100% be booking again. Very responsive host even though we got there late. Thanks again

Great stay. Lovely peaceful surroundings and nearby villages with lits of places to eat and drink without having to travel too far. The fire was set for us to light when we arrived making it snug and cosy within the hour to enjoy our wine and begin our break. we will be back again!!!

Lovely accommodation - cosy, comfortable and warm with everything you need. Great to come back to after a day exploring the North York Moors. Pickering is a lovely town. Jenny provided lots of very helpful information. We had a great time - highly recommend this property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Annette’s cottage. It was perfect for what we wanted. We explored Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes, Whitby and Sandsend. We parked and Sandsend on one of the free spaces and walked to Whitby (7mile round trip with a little walk in the town too) One day we got the train from the village to Whitby and back. Requires planning as limited but was fun on the train! We also did a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. We had a lemon bun from Bothams and while there bought a Brack cake we then got some beer from the Whitby Brewery! We had a drink in the pub opposite and another evening we ate at The Eskdale - stunning food definitely recommend the food and restaurant was brilliant. Last night we walked down for a drink at Eskdale too. It was handy having a little coop. The bed was super comfy. We didn’t use the TV but was there if needed! Kitchen was ideal. We would love to stay again. Annette was a wonderful host too, very attentive and efficient.

Walking distance to a great village pub that does amazing food. Lovely walks with our dog in the surrounding area. Short drive to many attractions. Will definitely book again. Debbie and Steve xx

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. We had a lovely stay at this very cute, quirky cottage in a good location, with all the supplies you’d need. There were lots of things to do nearby. Helen was incredibly attentive and always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. We were even able to purchase some of her amazing artwork. 🤩 Would definitely recommend to others.

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

We had a fab stay at Wren’s Nest. The cottage was just as advertised and we booked based on a recommendation from my parents, who stayed not long before we did. It was spotless, in a great central location and had everything needed for a cosy stay. We really enjoyed eating in the yard in the sunshine and exploring the local area; it’s a great base. We’d definitely stay again.

The directions Rachel gave us were very precise and we arrived without any problem. The cottage is very warm, cosy and super clean with everything you need for a pleasant stay. We had no problems but as Rachel is close by I am sure they would be sorted quickly. Lanchester is a short drive away and has a good selection of shops and places to eat.

What can we say, an absolute gem of a place. We loved every minute of our stay. The cottage is beautiful and spotlessly clean, with the comfiest bed ever. The surrounding are just mesmerising, loved waking up and looking out at the view each morning, it was so tranquil and peaceful. Mollie our dog had the best time. Completely enclosed making it perfect for dogs. We loved the horses too! Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay, we will most definitely be back 😊 Hayley & Simon xx

Ideally located close to the town square with free parking nearby. This was our first visit to Richmond and we loved it, so peaceful and straight out of a picture book. The cottage was immaculate with a comfy bed and great powerful shower. May not be suitable for those with extra access requirements as it is a hilly area, but to be honest that goes for the whole town! For us, it was the perfect spot for a quiet couple of days away. Special mention to the DVD collection, what a fun touch! Thanks go to Fiona for having us.

Had a lovely stay at the Hen House. John gave brilliant instructions which made finding the house mad check in extremely easy. When communicating with John his response was always quick, helpful and kind. The house was spotless and cosy when we arrived in a beautiful little village with all of the amenities necessary plus more. Overall a perfect stay, thank you John!
