Stockton on the Forest : locations de vacances

We have just returned from a stay in this wonderful barn. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s even more beautiful than the pictures show. Great location and really peaceful. The children loved seeing the chickens and horses. Great location and would definitely recommend for families wanting to go to Whitby , Dalby Forest and the little village of Thornton Le Dale with its lovely cafes.

Great stay, stopped with my kids who are mostly teens, they didn’t want to leave! Plenty of room for us all to spread out, very spacious! Convenient for city centre, shops, train station etc Would definitely stop again, many thanks! Host left us sweets and staples which was a lovely touch.

Our visit was handled by Ruth, who couldn’t have been more helpful. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and, despite being in a main road, was very quiet in the bedroom. Local takeaways were much welcomed, with particular mention of the Chinese across the road (and their Salt & Pepper chicken pieces!). It was great to have an off the road designated parking space too. Hopefully we can stay again next time we’re visiting Harrogate.

Beautiful property - very spacious but homely and cosy. Great host who provided lots of local recommendations in advance. Proactively communicated clear instructions for accessing the property and asked if we needed travel cot. Very close to Helmsley which has lots of lovely coffee shops and cafes and great farm shop with cafe (Beadlam Grange).

Such a romantic and peaceful getaway. It was a little date weekend for me and it was our first time away together. We had such a lovely time, it was cosy and private which is exactly what we wanted. We were surrounded by beautiful views and had the company of 3 cute little goats and 3 gorgeous highland cows. The local town was a short drive away so could go for walks, get food and grab any little bits we needed. Everything was more or less provided. Even got hot water bottles, socks and hand warmers which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was different to anything I’ve seen before but it worked really well. Loved the outdoor kitchen area, we made use of the BBQ. It’s perfect for 2 people. Would definitely come back

Beautiful surroundings, lots of walks on the doorstep, and the most beautiful homemade honeys, jams, drinks etc found dotted about the place. Host has everything you could need for cooking, with a welcome basket of tea, coffee, jam and dog treats. It rained for a lot of our stay, and we had 2 large dogs with us, so the mud was plentiful. However, having been provided this information beforehand we were able to bring mats, blankets, towels etc to keep everything manageable. My teen son enjoyed reading in the woods and my daughter never left the hot tub. We will certainly book here again.

If you’re staying in Pocklington then this house is fantastic. Huge! Clean! Warm and cosy. All the mod cons. Really really exceeded our expectations. It’s just a couple of minutes walk from Market Place. Only comment is that maybe there should be fans in all the bathrooms…otherwise, it’s like Dr. Who’s Tardis…way bigger than you think. Loved it.

Jordan’s place is a 10min walk apartment from town. Asda is 5min away as well which made things easy. Jordan is very responsive and tried to help us with our queries. The only problem was 1 of our toilets was broken but he was nice enough to refund the 15% of the actual price. We wanted to access the balcony but unfortunately they couldn’t find the keys. :/ it would’ve been a good place to have coffee/breakfast in the morning. All in all it was good experience nonetheless.
