An incredible place. Beautifully presented and modern. Shara helpful and online to help from start to finish the couple of times we needed advice. A total treat to spend in her home plus getting to know the locals in the pub a minute’s walk away. What a treat! We might well book again next time all the family is together (13 or us). Thank you for a lovely Christmas at your wonderful home!

Really amazing and unique place to stay in this 70’s hideaway on the edge of Dartmouth. Once you catch you breath after the 100 steps to the front door, you will be rewarded with a really quirky and stylish house hidden in the trees, but with tantalising views of the River Dart. It was so quiet at night and it’s only a 20 minute walk into the town that you really have the best of both worlds. Perfect for a couple or young family. The garage at the bottom was fine for our little polo but you might struggle to get anything bigger in it but there was space on the street if needed. We loved the place and will be back!

We had a fabulous stay. The accommodation was fantastic. We loved the hi spec kitchen for the only meal we cooked whilst there. It was a home from home. Only being a brisk 5 min walk from the promenade was a bonus. Near to restaurants and shops too.

Stayed at the house for New Year with our family of 4 children aged between 4 and 15.. Perfect location, within walking distance to sea front and all local amenities. The house had everything we needed and catered for all ages! Stuart was very helpful from the moment we booked and was able to recommend things to do for New Year’s Eve! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Gary's is a fantastic host and his home is stunning, we have stayed here quite a few times and its been exceptional every time. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

I would highly recommend this property for larger groups. Great location, clean, spacious and modern. Communication was almost instantaneous and check in was via a box on site, so very easy! Car parking for at least 2 cars with on street parking for other within a minute or so walk, and having the Tesco nearby was convenient for fuel and anything else we needed during our stay. Would easily stay here again!

Great stay at No.1 Beachdown. Everything we needed for a perfect stay and amazing views. Had a very relaxing week and so many great places to visit.

A lovely stay in a beautiful location. The apartment had top quality furnishings and fittings, was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped with plenty of tea and coffee. We loved the balcony and window seat from which we read our books and watched the world go by. There’s an on-site Leisure Club which looked great though we didn’t use it on this occasion other than for a good meal in the Deck where staff were very friendly. We enjoyed a trip to Burgh Island on the sea tractor for lunch and Afternoon Tea and what a treat! Staff were delightful, the food and drinks delicious and the decor superb! With good walks on the doorstep and easy access to the beach this is an ideal place to visit at any time of year. Christopher and Tanya were excellent hosts, gave clear access instructions and responded quickly to our queries. Thank you once again and hope to return one day:) Roger & Jennette

We booked Kates place at last minute following a short notice cancellation of another holiday and Kate was extremely accommodating, making a stressful day that much better. When we arrived Kate had also prepared a lovely welcome basket that was very touching. The apartment itself is very modern, clean and provides plenty of space, not to mention a beautiful view of the front gardens and Torquay town beyond. There is a private seating area on the front too for the garden. There is a definately plenty to do in the Torquay and surrounding location. Both Torquay and Babbacombe were within walking distance but do note, it is very hilly! Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend booking with Kate :)

what a fantastic apartment and super host! the apartment was spotless and so warm and cosy when we arrived, it's got everything you need and finished to an extremely high standard. The views over the estuary from the private outdoor area are stunning! Pauline was so helpful giving us recommendations for the local area, checking we were settled in and prior to our stay making a few alterations as my partner is allergic to feathers. The apartment is in a fantastic quiet location and only a 10 minute walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Thank you Pauline, we loved it! 🙂

Everything correct on previous reviews. It’s just lovely. We enjoyed the peace being out of season. The apartment is exactly as specified, very well presented and equipped to a high standard. Light, comfortable with fabulous views wherever you look. Three different ferries across to Dartmouth walkable from the apartment. Great pubs and cafes this side in addition to many many in Dartmouth. Great walking in both directions as far or as brief as you fancy. Loads to do in the immediate local area. It’s well placed and kitted out for a complete recharge or an active stay - or a mix of the two!! Really recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Louise’s apartment ‘Little Merida’ with our dog Tilly. Louise messaged us before our stay to tell us the apartment would be available early although we weren’t able to take advantage of this. She came and introduced herself after our arrival to ensure we had everything we needed. There was a fresh vase of flowers, some milk, coffee and some delicious local fudge on our arrival. The apartment looked exactly as in the photos, it was warm comfortable, clean, well look after and tastefully decorated. We ate in on two occasions and the apartment had everything we needed to prepare our meals. There are plenty of restaurants and bars locally and within easy walking distant. We had a great time at Little Merida. Thank you Louise

Another great holiday at Goodrington Lodge. We've stayed numerous times in different apartments here over the last 10 years or so and we still come back every year. The location is great for us and is very dog friendly. Our 2 Jack Russell's love it. Apartment 7 is ideal for us and the dogs and was spotlessly clean on arrival. Adam is a great host, very friendly and quick to reply to messages. We will be back again for certain!

We had a wonderful few days in Salcombe at Freya's beautiful apartment. The views from the windows were wonderful and the apartment itself was perfect. There is nothing that could be improved - we loved it and already hoping to return. Thank you Freya for making us so welcome.

Great apartment with a beautiful little garden overlooking the town. Lots of space for rainy days and evenings. Moira was very responsive and answered all my questions. Bonus to have a parking spot and very short walk into town, although steep but that wasn’t an issue for us. All in all a great place for our weekend away!

When one needs a stress free, relaxing getaway with no hassles, this property and host gives you exactly that. The view of the sea and estuary from the lounge is simply breathtaking and very therapeutic, watching the boats coming and going as the tide ebbs and flows with the sun setting in the west. Convenient free parking, walking distance from a supermarket and restaurants, the location is superb . Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.

Really lovely apartment in a great location, a very short walk to the seafront/harbour and town. Lots of extras like a welcome pack, toiletries, books, DVDs and parking permit (needed and very appreciated, we were able to park close by all weekend). Clean and tidy throughout. Host gives plenty of information and also contacted us to check in early once the apartment was ready, couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

What an amazing stay at Karen’s - the only grudge I have is I didn’t have more time :( Karen’s place is superb - the location, the house, the communication - everything was spot on. I had read previous reviews and was expecting a very good experience but this was so much beyond. The apartment is right on the doorstep to the beach. It is situated at easy walking distance to the town centre and the neighbourhood is very peaceful and quiet. The apartment itself is lovely - there’s load of space, the rooms are very vibrant and it is built and maintained to a very very high standard. I would certainly stay here again.

Had a great stay at this apartment! The place was so clean and welcoming and the host was very proactive so it made checking in and out very easy. The location was great and very walkable distance to the beach, shops, station in Exmouth. Would definitely stay here again!

An amazing place to stay with the bonus of private parking, near beach, town, train station. The apartment was very clean with all you needed for a relaxing break away. If you want a place to stay by sea then would definitely recommend this!

Great place to stay . See and hear the waves from the building. All clean and tidy the bed was soft and snug. The mussel and odd wheel pubs serve great food nearby. The hot tub had a fab sea view . The hosts were great and there if needed, Would defo go there again for sure.

We had a very enjoyable stay - the host was very helpful on arrival, especially in giving us ideas of where to go during our stay. The property was extremely clean and very well equipped, therefore made our stay all the more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this property to all.
