Overall, a very peaceful trip, which is what we were looking for. If you do not want to leave the property, bring your own food/drinks as the nearest places to refuel are 15+ minutes away. The "waterfall" is a very cool experience. Make sure to be a speaker so you can hang out outside on the deck and have a few drinks!

This was our second stay and we will definitely be back. This peaceful little cabin is the perfect place for a couple or a family with 1 or two small children. We enjoying cooking on the grill, sitting by the fire, and playing in the open field. We spend a day hiking at hanging rock and come back to relax by the fire after a long day of hiking. So peaceful and serene.

Even though our stay was just for one night , we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stop on our way back home on our travels with our 3 dogs ! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again and stay longer and hike around ! You walk in and just feels like you’re home !

Once again, Henry was a great host! The lake cottage is a wonderful place to relax after a long day. Henry provides everything you need to feel right at home!

Shelley's place was everything we were looking for, and then some! We used the space as a home base for the NASCAR races and wish we could have spent more time at Shelley's place and in the mountains hiking! We will definitely be back, with family!

We had a great stay! Lauren’s house was very cute, private, and quiet. Just what we needed during a visit with family.

Cindy's place was just the spot my dog and I needed for quick access to Hanging Rock State park the next morning. I was pleasantly surprised that it was even cuter than the pictures showed. Cindy even sent a couple of messages before I checked in that were very helpful. When I arrived, I was greeted from the door of the main house asking if i was OK and if I needed anything, after that I was on my own, which is how I prefer it. Once inside the apartment I was pleasantly surprised again. Cindy's place was thoughtfully stocked with anything I could possibly need. It was just a quick overnight for us but we will definitely be back if they'll have us.

Carey's cabin was exactly what my family needed after long hours in the car and stressful business engagement .It was perfectly located just a short drive from Winston Salem and between two of the most beautiful State Parks which we are able to explore. My children loved playing the board games provided, roasting smores under the stars and waking up to deer crossing the property and a spectacular sunrise. The cabin itself is filled with the warmth of the hands that made it,we are thankful that we were blessed with an opportunity to share a few days in her special place !
