Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties : locations de vacances

Our family of six, with 4 kids aged 7 through 12 in the dead of winter and had an amazing time!! We enjoyed the welcoming committee of dogs, followed by a family member and then Victor himself. The kids loved the UTV ride to the Tree House. We had our dinners in the cookhouse, once was communal, which was fun and different (and delicious). The first night was -27 but were easily able to keep warm with a couple of tips from Victor. Both morning we had freshly baked bread with their honey and fresh eggs - delicious and convenient. The kids found friends from other cabins/the farmhouse and they played for hours.. The visitors puppies, chickens and bunnies. We went skating on the pond and had late night s’mores with new friends. The kids rated this experience an 11 out of 10. Their highlights were the dogs, skating, the cookhouse (pineapple was the big hit), the tree house, and the freedom of roaming the huge property (with dogs and new friends). We will be back!! Thank you Victor and fam!

We spent a couple of days in September at Catherine's place and it was fantastic. We found the house to be very well appointed (particularly the kitchen!) and some of the extra amenities were nice to have (the sauna was very nice). It was great being right on the St. Lawrence River and peaceful to sit on the deck, watch the birds and enjoy a cup of coffee during the sunrise. We did a bit of fishing off the deck and found it to be surprisingly good! Being right on the water the mosquitos were really bad, but I think that is probably to be expected. The house is on a busy road, so if you are like us and bring your four-legged friend along, walking them on a road with folks driving by at 60+ mph is a bit unsettling. We made a couple of trips into Montreal, and while it's a bit of a hike (~50 miles), it was a fairly easy drive and took about an hour. Overall we had a really nice time and we would certainly recommend to anyone looking to spend some time on the river around Montreal!

Our stay at Colette’s was unexpected and quickly planned. Being able to find her home on such short notice put our minds at ease with every emotional rollercoaster we went through that week. Her home is exceptionally clean and super comfortable beds. Very nice quiet and safe neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

Eugene’s place was very clean and had everything we needed. He was very responsive, Super accommodating and helpful as well. My son and I had a great time on the water in the pedal boat and he loved the hot tub! (Which I will add was also very clean) If you choose to stay at this relaxing, quiet and enjoyable place, it is suggested to do groceries prior to coming into town as it is quite expensive at the towns grocery store and if you’d like to use the fire pit, bring your fire wood as it is not provided. Thank you Eugene! We enjoyed our stay and were sad to go :)

We always stay here when on route to Quebec City from Toronto and back. We love this little cottage and every time we come we notice the improvements to the place and feel right at home. We were lucky enough to be staying at Emanuelle’s during the last big winter storm. She was kind enough to give us shelter and we throughly enjoyed the snowshoeing in the area. We will be back next time.

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

William's Cottage at Fraser's Point is secluded, safe and peaceful on a well groomed lawn sloping to the River. The St. Lawrence River air is fresh and clean with a light breeze fluttering the leaves of the ancient oaks and maples as it drifts through the screened windows on all four sides of the cottage. A huge wrap-around deck and a wall of windows and patio doors allows for a panoramic view of the the River's abundant birds and Seaway Laker Ships. The cottage was very inviting with a dining table for 6, reclining sofas and rocking chairs on a faux hardwood floor. The queen beds were comfortable with nice linens. The kitchen was clean with everything we needed to cook and dine in. Shower was good. Washer and dryer. Plenty of electrical outlets. Good lighting. Safe parking. Hiking within the Point and nearby Nature Reserves. Added bonus was enjoying the unobstucted sunsets of the warm September evenings, the partial eclipse of the moon and the bright moonlit nights.

Great Experience, must visit this place

The space was lovely and very clean. The view of the water and sky from the living room was very calming. The neighbourhood felt safe - people were friendly. The hosts were perfectly attentive and thoughtful. We enjoyed our visit and would stay again.
