We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

Lizzie was a fantastic host, she responded to messages and even allowed us to extend our stay into the afternoon. The house was lovely we will definitely look at booking again in the new year. Thank you

We had the most amazing time staying at Anne’s place. She was very welcoming and the welcome basket we received was a lovely touch. The perfect area for our quiet get away, very close to everything we needed. The cottage itself was spotless and had a nice homely feel to it. It’s even better than the pictures and really exceeded our expectations. All the facilities we needed and the hot tub was the perfect luxury! Thank you for everything, we’ll definitely be back🥰

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The Mill is absolutely stunning - the photos don’t do it justice at all. It is beautifully put together with a well equipped kitchen, smart decor and so many interesting bits and pieces to give interest. There was such care and consideration given to making sure all needs were catered for from the toys and books to the extensive CD and DVD collection. The grounds are breathtaking and it would be easy to go nowhere else. We were very well looked after and enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and a campfire. This is the perfect place for a family to find peace and reset. Walking up to the birds and the sounds of the waterfall was like a detox. We petted donkeys, saw bee hives, looked for fish and paddled in the water. Our children are already planning a further stay. Exceptional value for money and just beautiful. Thank you Lorraine and the wonderful Arjun for looking after us so well.

Lovely and clean accommodation. We used this as a base for four of us to visit the Open golf and to play a few rounds locally. Iain is a great host and always responded quickly to any questions. Also one of our party left a coat behind which Iain will post on for us! After golf we visited Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright. Both are picturesque and have some great restaurants and pubs. Overall a great experience and a big thanks to Iain for hosting a great trip. Highly recommended

We had a lovely stay at Middle Byre. The property is clean, spacious and well equipped, and has fabulous views over the countryside. There was lots of outdoor space for our kids and dog, and the hot tub was great fun - even in the rain! Iain was a great host and gave us lots of useful information before our arrival and he was always on hand if we needed anything. We will definitely be returning in the future 😊😊

We loved our stay. The house (Byre) is beautiful and far more spacious than photos give credit for. Added bonus for us, wheelchair accessable from patio doors into kitchen/dinning/lounge area. Wheelchair accessible into downstairs bathroom/shower and bedroom. There is a shower stool in cupboard next to bathroom. The upstairs landing area has a cosy couch/snug between bedrooms and upstairs toilet/Shower room. Beautiful scenory surrounding Cottages and we all completely felt at home and relaxed instantly. House very clean and fresh. Stranraer in walking distance with pavement at road end of cottages. Lovely walking options around cottages. Kitchen comes very well equipped and decent sized fridge freezer. We look forward to returning.

Photos really dont do Donalds place justice. The surroundings are beautiful! We all loved waking up and seeing the cows and sheep from the living room window. Donalds place was clean and well equipped for a family. The hot tub was perfect to relax in after busy days out. The dog also had a fantastic holiday in the countryside. Donald was very quick to respond to any questions i had and was extremely helpful. Although there are three cottages we had complete privacy in our garden and hot tub. It was very peaceful. We will definitely be back to The Byre and hoping to rent more cottages with family next time.

We stayed at Shurig cottage as family of 4 (kids 4 and 2 years) and grandad! The hosts were really helpful with pre trip and during the trip especially with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The accommodation was spotless and had all amenities needed. We loved the modern cosy cottage feel! The outdoor space was great too! Highlights of the trip included blackwaterfoot beach which was a great sandy beach for the kids and we even had the kayak out too, Mara fish restaurant in Corrie, seals seen on the west coast, hiking to Machrie Moor standing stones and Kings cave! Both Brodrick castle and the Thyme cafe had great outdoor play areas for the kids (we loved the Pide there too)! We also loved Arran butchers and the bakehouse in Blackwaterfoot! Hamilton cottages is a perfect base for these activities and we will hopefully be back soon! Thank you!

We had a fantastic week in a lovely self contained cottage on a seaside estate. Good short walks from door. Great facilities for family and dog with games room and full tv service. Short drive to shops and restaurants. Fully equipped spotless cottage with the best brownies!

The Summer House exceeded our expectations. It is more spacious than it looks on the photos. It is very nicely furnished and decorated and is cosy and warm. Penny has thought of everything to make your stay an enjoyable one . Her directions to get there were easy to follow and she recommended several places for us to visit also with clear directions . Archie, her husband , is also very knowledgeable about the island and is very approachable. All in all, we had a lovely time and would highly recommend a stay at Knockenkelly.

Beautiful accommodation , welcoming hosts and a truly peaceful place to stay. It felt secluded and quiet here. There are a couple of lovely walks from the house and plenty to do in the surrounding area a short car journey away.

I loved the space we had in Stockman's Cottage, both inside the house with the large kitchen and big living area upstairs; and outside for storing our bikes and bike rack. All the essentials are provided in an organized and unfussy way. We felt quickly felt at home and didn't want to leave. The woods and squirrel hide a short walk away provide a lovely spot to sit and listen to birds and watch for the red squirrels - I wish we could have spent longer here.

Calling in advanced as pre instruction, our host was waiting for us on arrival, explained where the keys were, and any problems then knock on their door. Everything we needed for our stay was available, leaflets for places of interest, along with a selection of books and games in the living room. Recommend that you go and see the Red Deer on the A712 north of Newton Stewart, but take plenty of carrots, also if you are really luck you might see Otters at the Otter Pool on Raiders Road Forest Drive One thing we couldn't find was any instructions for the heating, rubbish, what to do when leaving etc.

The most magical place to stay. From the moment we booked we received the warmest of welcomes and it just got better and better. The Lodge was pristine, the facilities top drawer and the surroundings breathtaking. Truly one of the best AirBnB stays we’ve ever had. Loved it and will definitely be back.

We only got to stay for the weekend for a family wedding, but were blown away by the location and how stunning the house was. Super clean arrival instructions made for a seamless experience. Huge thanks. Can’t wait to be back!

We had a lovely stay at Maggie's place. It was set in beautiful grounds and provided a perfect private getaway. There is a lovely walk over the neighbouring hills to Gatehouse if you are feeling fit, with points of interest along the way, although the local amenities are also easily reachable by car in a few minutes. Local sandy beaches are nearby and it provided a perfect base for walking in the Galloway hills. The house itself was spotless and homely. We locked ourselves out one day and Maggie appeared to let us back in within 5 minutes which was a relief. She was super friendly.

We had a great stay here. The house is in a great location with lots of space. Anne was a very attentive host with lots of special touches to make our stay comfortable, including a Christmas tree! Thanks for everything Anne!

Second stay at Liz’s place. We were happy with it on the first stay but the second proved we were right to go back. Everything you need for a home from home. Ideal location. Close to town and beach. Everything in the house is quality. Very comfortable all round. Facilities are easy to use. Good restaurants and bars very close, also not far from the train station. We were in Glasgow within the hour. We had a lovely break this time as well. Look forward to the next time.

We loved our stay in this property. So much to see and do and walks for the dogs from the house. The accommodation was perfect very spacious lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath and large well equipped kitchen. Would certainly stay again. Recommend Brig o Doon for somewhere to eat.

Perfect get away with the partner and baby!Was a great location to get away and relax. Even though it was cold out, the cabin warmed up quick. The cabin has everything you need for a self catering break. We met the hosts briefly and they were very welcoming! We’ll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just returned from a really lovely weekend at Malcolm’s bungalow. It’s a perfect size for our family of 4 and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay has been provided. The kitchen equipment was particularly impressive and there is plenty of extra bedding and towels should you need them. Malcolm communicated extremely well both before and after the stay and provided a very useful information manual of local places of interest. The house is warm and living room gas fire quickly makes the living room wonderfully warm and cosy, perfect for watching a movie with your family. The nearby Dalbeattie Town Wood is great for walking and biking and has a fab play area made out of natural materials. My husband did a day of work from the house and found the fibre broadband to be fast and reliable. Thanks for everything Malcolm. We will definitely be back!
