We had a nice stay at the cabin. The area is very peaceful. Rebecca was very responsive to any questions we had. We would stay with Rebecca again if ever in the area.

Setting was beautiful! Loved the hot tub on the porch and the views were stunning. Host was very nice, breakfast was awesome each morning, enjoyed the privacy. I would return for another stay anytime

The A frame was absolute perfection & such a romantic place to stay. Incredible views, clean and cozy space, peaceful and quiet. Also prime location for wine tours, hiking, and small town dining. The host was a great communicator and very accommodating.

Absolutely loved our experience! Hot tub worked well, sitting out back was so serene and peaceful, saw lots of wildlife in the area. Home itself is clean and cozy, we enjoyed watching movies by the fire.

This cabin was a perfect weekend getaway. It was pretty private and the trails and creek were lovely. The hot tub was nice to relax in and the location of the cabin made it easy to visit some local wineries. We hope to be back soon!

Enjoyed our stay very much. House was very cool and comfortable. Beautiful setting with overlook of the river Unfortunately, due to the weather, didn't get much chance to use the trails near the house - but were @ 25 min from hikes at Pilot Mountain. Communication was terrific - and the extra info about finding house came in very helpful. Enjoyed stay and would book again if traveling to the area.

Place was great. Zoe, the outdoor cat was adorable and friendly. Just make sure if you are following your gps you look for the sign by the road!

From the welcoming lanterns on the porch, to the blankets already situated in all the cozy chairs and rockers, to the robes ready for the hot tub, everything was ready to start relaxing from the moment of arriving. The wine, cold drinks, a variety of snacks, and candy dishes were the most abundant I’ve seen in all of my Airbnb experiences. There were friendly family dogs for canine company (as desired!). We could have stayed a week in order to fully enjoy all of the offerings. We really hope to get back - it really was perfect!

We have stayed here multiple times and the area never disappoints. The cabin contains everything you need for a primitive stay. The cabin is clean, close to nearby restaurants, breweries, hiking trails - but still feels very remote and private. Tanner and Marissa are very responsive and helpful, always making sure that the cabin is stocked with essentials, the grounds are clean, wood is available. Highly recommend!

The "Rocking A-Frame" was a great place for a family or large group to stay when visiting the area. The house was great with a full, well-stocked kitchen in a very large Great Room. The bedrooms were exactly as pictured, and the primary bedroom is huge. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. There are carpenter bees on the property that are harmless, but might scare off some guests with a bee allergy (even though the male bees don't have stingers). My family and I just walked past them without a problem. Keep in mind that we visited in early Spring when the carpenter bees are most active. The location is great and exactly as described, being "minutes from Hanging Rock State Park". There are also great coffee, ice cream, and sandwich shops in the downtown area, which is a minute's drive from the house. Great coffee and ice cream at The Arts Place. Fantastic sandwiches at River Rock Cafe. Thank you Spencer & Jordan for the great weekend at your marvelous house.

We met Stevie at his music store downtown. Super nice host. Some broken things in the cottage due to the guests who checked out morning of our arrival but no fault of Stevie. There was no time for repairs before we arrived as he was nice enough to let us check in a couple of hours early so we could meet family in Mt. Airy. Shame that folks didn't take care of the cabin. The cabin is very pretty and the horses on the farm next door came right up to us for carrots. Really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to our next visit.

What an amazing stay! Such a cozy cabin and warm ambience. From cozying up inside by the fire to sipping coffee on the porch it was the relaxing stay that I so desperately needed. The porch is expansive and has extremely comfortable rockers, the bed upstairs with the soft lighting at night is romantic and relaxing, and the property was really enjoyable to walk around. The host was friendly and very responsive. I had a wonderful time with my fur babies and would definitely come back.

Such a special place to stay! The cabin is wonderfully cozy and homey, with windows open we could hear birdsong every morning and gentle rains at night. Kitchen is well suited for lots of cooking, and the array of books and games was impressive. We loved hiking in the surrounding areas, and equally enjoyed being able to rest here in the evenings. Highly recommend :)

The bunkhouse is the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and take in the quietude of the woods (but still close enough to town to shop, eat, etc). Caroline has thought of everything, lots of little touches in the place to be cozy and comfortable.

This was exactly what I needed. The cabin was easy to find for how peaceful it was. It is not too far from town so making stops at local stores and restaurants was a quick trip up the road. Unfortunately the blue ridge parkway was closed during our visit but I was shocked to see when leaving the property we were only two right turns from it. It is in such a great location, tucked away but not too far from everything. The cabin itself was just as the pictures showed, there was plenty of space to stretch out in between our planned activities. You can tell the cabin was well maintained and kept clean. The recommendations left on the counter in the kitchen for local restaurants served us well, as well as the maps left us in a great spot for choosing our daily adventures! All in all when I plan on coming back up to the area I will definitely be checking here to see if the cabin is available again so that I know I have somewhere safe, secure, and private in the area to rest my head.

It’s no wonder Patty & Tom have such stellar reviews! Their cabin is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Close to all Floyd has to offer, everything was meticulously thought of: fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, water & snacks, and little touches -as a woman I really appreciated. I worked from the cabin the entire week, as the desk was the perfect spot to hold meetings and enjoy the view of the snow falling as well as the fireplace in the living room. Our bedroom was cozy, the period furniture all about the cabin adding a sense of whimsy. Each evening we cooked in the spacious, well equipped kitchen and enjoyed our meals at the dining room table. Best of all, Patty and Tom are gracious, kind, and the kind of hosts that Airbnb should strive for. We look forward to visiting Patty, Tom, and the Cabin again!

The only thing wrong with my stay is that I worked long hours and didn't have more time to relax and enjoy it. So peaceful and quiet, had everything I needed. Would definitely stay again!

Melba's little cabin is amazing. Don't just stay somewhere nice, stay somewhere unique and wonderful! From the custom details in the house to the adorable animals just across the fence (especially the little pig), this cabin was a heartwarming, peaceful experience we'll never forget. Close to great dining, too and of course Smith Mountain Lake. Thank you, Melba and family. We hope to come back.

The Floyd EcoVillage cabin was the perfect fit for me. I needed a peaceful place to decompress, but wanted to be close to town for restaurants, etc. It was cozy, quiet, comfortable, and convenient--exactly what I needed!

Such a beautiful place. Wish I would’ve stayed for more than a day. Hearing the creek while sitting on the back porch was so peaceful. Will definitely be back!❤️

The cabin is so secluded. At night we heard nothing but wildlife. It was so quiet we could hear the Mayo river even though it was a half mile away. Anytime I can get somewhere where there is next to no cell phone service, I am happy. It was a nice short walk to the rapids and my family spent most of the day there.

Love this little place hidden in the woods, away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet and comfy, perfect location to just BE. February weather being what it is, we spent most of our time indoors with a fire in the cozy woodstove. Our original plan was for me to spend days in town for an assignment but when it fell through, well, the change in plans was everything I didn't know I needed. Our communication was fabulous - very responsive and helpful with all of my questions.
