We had a great stay here. It was a bit small for seven people, but had all the necessities.

A beautiful house with everything you need and wonderful surroundings. Snaefellsnes is the place to live if you want a nature experience and many places to drive to.

Gorgeous location, very cozy and comfortable. Would stay here again. Saw the most gorgeous display of northern lights which made our stay more special.

Rikke war eine freundliche und umsorgende Gastgeberin. Die Unterkunft war perfekt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir konnten alles nutzen und hatten gleich das Gefühl willkommen und zu Hause zu sein. Alles ist sehr praktisch eingerichtet und man merkt, dass das Haus auch privat genutzt wird. Die Gegend eignet sich prima für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Sonnenaufgänge und jede Nacht traumhafte Polarlichter, haben uns den Einstieg in den Island-Urlaub erleichtert. Perfekt, danke!

This has to be one of my most favorite AirBnB rentals! The location was unbelievable - looking out at Kirkufell, the most photographed mountain in Iceland - and with an amazing view to the north for Aurora viewing. The house was perfect for our group of eight (four couples), with a bedroom for each and a bathroom on each level. The kitchen is filled with all you need, and the living area features picture windows and cozy couches, with lots of throw blankets, sheepskins, and pillows available. The outdoor area is unbelievable with a hot tub and sauna facing north, and lots of areas for walking in the hills or on the beach during low tide. While the rental was a little more expensive than we usually pay, we felt it was definitely worth the splurge, and couldn't believe that we had been lucky enough to find it.

We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay here. The size was more than plenty for two families, everything was so clean and well thought out, and there are gorgeous views everywhere you look. Heiðrún was so accommodating in providing an extra crib and high chairs for our toddlers. And the hot tub!!!! Would definitely stay here again.

I had the great fortune to visit with three other ladies. We only had one night, but we did manage to use the hot tub. This is something I would not miss. It’s the best therapy after a long travel day. We loved the quiet, farm setting with ample space inside the house . The large windows were perfect to look for the northern lights. One of us left their wallet behind, and graciously our host went out of their way to bring it to us. We all agreed, we would wished we had more time here.

The charming cabin was comfortable and homey with a beautiful view. Checkin and checkout at nearby lodge was quick. The friendly staff made us feel at home.

Het huis ligt op een hoogte met prachtig uitzicht en wordt omgeven door land met relatief veel vogels. Veel plekken op Snaefellsnes zijn goed te bereiken. De laatste kilometers naar het huis zijn onverhard, maar een 4x4 is niet nodig. Er is een goed bed dat maar net in de slaapkamer past, de uitrusting is ruim voldoende. De wifi-gegevens op de site van Airbnb waren niet juist, maar stonden in het gastenschrift, dus dat was snel opgelost.

We had the most wonderful stay at Alfatstein - the house was gorgeous and was in the most beautiful setting. Loads of space, very clean, and with all we needed. Anna was so kind, showing us her farm (our kids loved holding the kid goats), booking us a meal in an amazing restaurant in the local town, and even messaging to say the Northern lights were performing their magic! We had a great day exploring the peninsula - just wish we could have had longer than the two nights we’d planned here. Thank you Anna and Oli!

Great base to explore the West. The house is a gem - it has everything one needs and more. The turntable and the collection of records brought us straight to our youth. The only suggestion would be tea cups. Sorry, we are from the UK :)

Such a beautiful house which totally accommodated for our large family. I was impressed with the amenities in the kitchen. Nothing was lacking. Everything was perfectly clean and new and beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the stay. Hands down one of the best Icelandic airbnb's we've been to.

This was a lovely stay for our family with younger kids. It had plenty of space, multiple bedroom options, well-stocked kitchen with some basic dried food supplies, too. The view down to the harbor was very pretty and we could see aurora from the kitchen windows! The geothermal hot tub was also a great feature, but as they mention, it takes about 30 minutes to fill so do plan ahead. Location was convenient for a day trip around the snaefellesnes. We would happily stay again!

Coup de cœur pour ce grand logement, cosy, décoration à la fois traditionnelle et moderne, un lit bébé au top, un logement super pour rayonner dans snaefelsness à mi chemin entre Stykkishólmur et Grundafjordur. Notre fils a adoré donner à manger aux beaux moutons avec Gudlaug. Nous recommandons aux familles (équipement adaptés, jouets, tout y est !).

Clean and cozy, facilities are good

If you are looking for a little cabin in the middle of nowhere this is your place! Well equipped cabins, comfortable (firm) beds. Dinner and breakfast up at the hotel were good, if somewhat over priced. Host was friendly and we were able to check in early which was nice after being in the cold rain most of the day. Recommend if you are looking for peace and tranquility.

Das Haus hat eine wunderbare Lage - direkt am Meer und in der Nähe der Hauptattraktion Berg Kirkjufell. Die Ausstattung war wie auf den Fotos - simpel, aber praktisch. Die Gastgeberin wohnt direkt daneben und ist sehr freundlich. Sie hat uns Kinderbett und Kinderstuhl organisiert. Echt zu empfehlen!

Excelente alojamiento. Las instrucciones de llegada y la ubicación fueron claras. La casa es muy linda, estaba limpia, ordenada y con todo lo que se necesita para una estancia confortable. Coincide con el anuncio y las fotos. Camas y almohadas muy cómodas, habitaciones con buen espacio. Es importante saber que solo uno de los baños tiene ducha, el otro tiene solo tina de baño. Pudimos ver auroras boreales desde la ventana de las habitaciones, lo que hizo aún mejor nuestra experiencia en este alojamiento. Ragna siempre estuvo pendiente de la comunicación. Recomendable 100%.

We enjoyed this quiet and peaceful cottage during our 2-night stay in the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The area is beautiful and situated on private farmland. We were even greeted by their lambs across the street on their farm which was very pleasant. Highly recommended to book here because it is right off of the 54 and 58 highway intersection. Thank you for hosting us!
