Guy was very nice and communicative, and the Hunkerdown Inn was a well-organized, cozy space. Any quirks of the Inn were thoroughly described by Guy, so there were no issues, and he was a fantastic host! The Inn being attached to the coffee shop/cafe was also a treat because the food and coffee there were great!

This place was perfect, exactly what we needed. It was super clean and comfy, and plenty of space for us. Thank you so much!

A really great value! We found the space extremely cozy and enjoyed relaxing there during our ski trip.

From the booking process, to checking out, our experience with David was fantastic.  When we checked in, we were pleased with the wide driveway and well lit gate to the private entrance.  Once inside, we found a charming little two bedroom suite with lots of little extras.  There were baskets with light snacks, as well as baskets with all the little things you might have forgotten, like toothpaste, razors, and soap.   The beds were neatly made with fresh towels stacked for use., and very comfortable to sleep in.  There were also plenty of extra towels, pillows and blankets in the closet for us.   The house was very easy to get to, and it is located super close to the Virginia Tech Campus and tons of great places to eat. Whether you are going to catch a game, or just visit Blacksburg, we recommend this location.  I know we will be back.

Very cozy and Diana is a great host! Close to the national park and a lot of small businesses. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great. Space was perfect for what we needed and just as described. Easy access to town, VT and 460. It was very clean and we had a great stay. Loved the towels and comfy beds and reclining couch!

Home was just as described and is in a great location that makes for an easy stroll downtown for meals. In the future I plan on staying at this property any time I want to spend a weekend in the Hinton area.

We had a great experience staying in the cottage. We were in the area for the Healing Appalachia music festival in Lewisburg, combined with a getaway vacation, and this was a great combination of both. Everything was clean and as described. The self check in was easy and the house had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, full kitchen and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful spot!!

Came to Hinton to visit where my family grew up , it turned into a mini reunion and this home was the perfect place. There was plenty of space for us all to talk and catch up, and the views were amazing. We will definitely come back to stay here for our next visit!

Lovely place right on the river, perfect for a couple’s getaway! Decor inside is very cute; loved the local photography! Waking up to the river was beautiful. Renee was very helpful in giving us information about how to watch the river levels, as it was very rainy during our stay. The wood-burning fireplace kept us warm and cozy! The internet does cut in and out a bit during bad weather, but we had enough signal for emergency alerts.

What a beautiful place. What a quiet, peaceful getaway. The accommodations were very luxurious and spacious, with attention given to every detail, meeting all of our needs. Our host took extra measures to insure our stay was all that we expected. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains, and loved watching the deer, turkeys and other wildlife. This is a very private, safe and relaxing place to let go of your busy life and step into an unforgettable time in the mountains of West Virginia. We have continued to talk of what a wonderful stay we had and look forward to our next visit.

This was a wonderful, clean, house, very relaxed and we felt right at home. We enjoyed the campfire. We visted the local water falls and the Grist Mill at Babcock State Park. Our favorite restaurant was the Market place by the courthouse. The direction took us right to the house with no issues. Megan was quick to answer any questions. The app shares a lot of info so I say read and learn try all places.
