I cannot recommend this space or the hosts enough! It is such a peaceful, clean, welcoming, lovely place—and so close to the water! I loved my time at Elaine's place. The cleanliness is exceptional, so to was the host's friendliness! Elaine was beyond responsive and just incredibly kind. The space is very comfortable, has everything you need in the kitchen, INCLUDING goodies from Elaine. The bedroom has plenty of space for your things, black out curtains, and the living and bath areas sparkle with care. Highly recommend this air bnb.

Great house with nice size bedrooms, good social space and amazing location near the sea.

This was my third time and it won’t be my last. Absolutely love this place, feels like home away from home and Lisa is great - quick to respond, communicative, helpful and just lovely all around. Loved the new little touches around the house. Will be back ☀️

I recently moved back to South Shields and stayed here whilst searching for a permanent rental and would highly recommend! The apartment looked exactly like the pictures, was spotless throughout and had all amenities you could need. The location was ideal; walking distance to the centre of South Shields as well as the beach with shops and restaurants on the doorstep, yet extremely peaceful inside. The bed was extremely comfortable. Colin made my stay great, he responded quickly throughout and even had the heating on before I arrived so the apartment was cosy when I got there. I ended up extending my stay privately with him. Couldn’t recommend more!

Really nice flat with lovely views over Roker Pier and the North Sea. It was very cold when we were there but the flat was warm and cosy. Peter / Helen were very welcoming.

An excellent location for enjoying the seafront and coastline, with wonderful views over Roker Pier. The apartment is very clean and very well equipped, and Karen is very easy to communicate with. We will be back again! Thank you Karen.

A lovely well maintained property that is exactly as shown and described. The property is in a perfect spot with the beach opposite and a couple of cafes or further restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk away. The property has a fantastic host, who is fast to respond to messages or queries. Highly recommend it, definitely will be returning in future.

Lovely place, would book again, so easy to get around from the place, beach literally in front of you, with everything in walking distance, restaurants, tea rooms, chip shop and the coop. And of course the city centre is only a 15min walk. Bus service is great also, if you want to get around. Then there is the coastal walks also along to St marys island. I will be re booking, it is so central. Fantastic stay.

An easy 5* rating! John and Joanne could have not been more helpful and responsive, and then left us to enjoy the gorgeous place. Lots of lovely little touches and had everything we could need. Perfect base for a big group. It was a shame it was such a short trip for us as it would have been nice to stay longer!

The house was very clean, light and airy and exactly as the pictures if not better. It was like home from home, had everything I think you need and more. Very comfortable especially the bed that we were in. Would definitely go back when next in the area, close to all the amenities.

Ellen’s place is ideal location - we travelled down for sky diving and a trip to Durham both a great distance from the Airbnb. Ellen was friendly and proactive and the space is clean and cosy - very homely. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Joannes home! It is so perfectly located to do all we wanted to - seaglass hunting!! Huge benefit to have the parking spot on the front drive. Also huge bonus to be in walking distance to ammenities - asda, pharmacy, home shops and food outlets. Everything we needed was here - a home away from home. The tea/cake/milk was a kind touch. Comfy, clean bright airy base. Comfy sofa and bed. Really well decorated and maintained, lovely colour schemes and accents - nothing has been overlooked. Joanne was an attentive host with friendly communication. Wouldn't hesitate to come back if we are ever up North again. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay. Lovely accommodation, nicely decorated. Was within walking distance to sea front. Host was excellent, gave us lots of information about local facilities. Kitchen well kitted out to make a family meal. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our Christmas in Whitley Bay. House was ideal and had everything. Right next to the sea! Close to shops and lovely cafes, even a cinema. Catherine is perfect host, friendly , helpful and communicative.

Fabulous communication from our host meant the house was easy to find & access. We easily parked on the road right outside. Everything you could possibly need (& more!) for a comfortable stay in a beautifully decorated, & very clean home from home. We particularly appreciated the hand written welcome with details on how to reach the wonderful beach just 5mins walk away, & a great file full of lots of ideas of local things to do. We loved how close this house is to the city of Newcastle & also how convenient it was for travelling up the amazing coastline this area has to offer. Thank you to our hosts, we appreciate your attention to detail & loved our stay at The Lobster Pot!

We had a wonderful stay at Louis's place in Tynemouth. It is a large bright surf-themed flat in a fabulous location with sea views from both sides of the house. There are lots of stairs up to the top floor so not suitable for the infirm, but gives great views from the big windows overlooking the village green and beach - and could not hear any of the neighbours. The bedding and bathrooms were sparkly clean. Tynemouth is a beautiful village with a great surf beach - with lots of lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance. At the beach you can find yoga and pilates classes, cold water swimming, running clubs and surfing. Would highly recommended this for a short break or long holiday - plenty to do and see.

Exactly as described, great location close to all amenities. Could have sat and looked at the view for days. Abi was a great host providing clear instructions, everything was ready for us and the bottle of fizz and chocolates was very welcome.

Had a lovely weekend at Caroline's place. Apartment couldn't have been in a better position right next to Ocean Rd and a short stroll to 2 parks, the beach and the pleasure beach and in the opposite direction not far from the shopping centre and metro station which you can easily travel around the area from. Caroline was a great host and was always quick to respond to messages i sent her and even let us check in early and leave late which was a really nice gesture. The apartment was warm, large and very cosy and clean and had everything we could need for a comfortable stay. All in all a lovely place to stay!

A wonderful quiet stay in a delightful flat on the second floor with wide stairs. Comfortable with everything provided with tasteful decor. Easy to find the keys with excellent access when parking the car. View was lovely and a great location for the beach and local amenities. Would definitely visit again. Thank you Robert

I really enjoyed staying at the Esplanade apartment in Whitley Bay which was very handy for shops and services, pilus transport via the Metro, and great local restaurants. The apartment was comfortable for what I wanted for a few days, and the parking space was an added bonus. The level entry without stairs was ideal too for someone with mobility issues like me having had a new knee. I'd recommend the place and probably stay again,

Great place to stay. Clean and tidy. Had a problem with the shower waste, spoke to Gary, problem resolved within hours. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
