Surrey : locations de vacances adaptées aux familles

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

Great place and great host

L'appartement de Laura est situé dans un très beau quartier de Londres, le village de Barnes comme celui de Richmond sont à découvrir ! C'est un endroit calme, à l'écart de l'effervescence de la City mais celle-ci est accessible en train (pas directement en métro, mais les trains pour la station de Waterloo sont réguliers). Nous avons passé un court séjour en famille dans ce logement et je le recommande sans hésitation pour découvrir Londres et ses environs !

Good value home. Good kitchen but no dishwasher. Across from forest hill station and 5 mins walk to giant sainsbury. Close to nice little dog park, longer walk to walking trails in Dulwich wood.

Apartment is situated a lot closer to Battersea park than anticipated which was lovely. it's also a prime location for the developments at Battersea Power Station (birdies golf, cinema, Ramsay's pizza) - close connections for the rest of London (Northern line and national rail). The host met us and gave a quick tour asking if we needed anything else, all was already taken care of. Very clean and a great size for our party, 5/5 would recommend!

Great house perfect for our family gathering & close to transport links that we were using to meet up. Heated pool & hot tub were perfect to use & the large garden with table tennis, trampoline & hammock etc were ideal given the good weather during our trip. Hosts were fantastic providing extra sports equipment for use & were easily reachable throughout & swiftly solved the issue with the pool heater.

The flat was great for the two of us. It was comfortable, stylish and clean. There’s a nice walk through the park to barnes station for easy access into town. A positive experience overall. Laura was very helpful and easy to communicate with

Carmina was super helpful as a host. Accommodated a very late (post midnight check in) and was always available & communicative. I will absolutely recommend her place. Great location, lovely restaurants around and super connected.

We enjoyed our 12 day stay at Linda's. We were well prepared in advance, and everything involved in getting checked in went very smoothly. We were very comfortable and slept well. Linda and her husband were friendly and helped us get oriented locally. The kitchen worked out extremely well for us to prepare most of our meals, and that helped us with some dietary issues. We would highly recommend Linda's place. It is a great balance between a quiet country place, yet close to shopping and restaurants in Cobham and Esher. We hope to be back again!

We enjoyed a brief unplanned stay at Beth’s due to over running building work at our own home. We stayed with our 3 and 6 year old boys who loved walking through the fields and seeing the animals. The house was clean and had all we needed to make some meals and enjoy our time there. The wifi was good too and allowed my husband and I to wfh whilst there. Beth was kind and accommodating allowing us to stay with only 12 hours notice! Thank you!

Melinda and Jon were great hosts from start to finish - Melinda even welcomed on arrival which was lovely. The flat was exactly as described and looked even better than the pictures. We loved the decor and we felt very comfortable and at home. Everywhere you look is very considered and the hosts have a great eye for art and design. Accommodation was ideal for all local amenities and the area itself was enjoyable to walk around with many independent shops, bars and restaurants. Though we were only a minute walk from the Main Street, the flat was peaceful and very quiet. Crystal Palace park was great to walk around on a sunny Sunday. The location of the flat is about an hour on the tube outside central London however it was perfect for what we needed. We throughly enjoyed our weekend and would love to return. The flat had art deco styled decor which beautifully matched the period of the building. The host was quick to respond to requests and the access to lovely walks is fantastic. Bushy Park is a superb wilderness walk in the middle of London and goes all the way to Hampton Court Palace. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Bothy for a faw nights for a spring break. For us, it was the perfect choice. Set in a quiet rural location, with lovely walks straight from the door. There are a multitude of amazing walks across the downs a short drive from the location and Cathy left a good supply of helpful guides to get you on your way. Notable in this area are the wonderful ancient trees and woodlands- these certainly added to the pleasure of our stay. The Bothy was warm and comfortable, and suitably equipped for home cooking, although there are a range of neaby restaurant- many of which do deliveries. The bed was extremely comfortable- very welcome after our long daily walks- as was the home cinema, for evening chilling. Pimms, our dog, loved the small enclosed paddock out the back- this was definitely an added bonus. We saw Cathy a couple of times in passing and also chatted over messaging for some advice. She is an absolute delight- a super host.

We unanimously agree with all of the very positive reviews left by other guests. The bedrooms were super clean and the beds so comfortable. It was lovely to be able to catch the train into Windsor for the day and the two pubs in the village were a pleasure to visit. All six adults, one child and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed the stay. what a lovely private and quiet sanctuary tucked away with a treetop view on one side. The hosts house is reassuringly nearby if you need anything (which we didn't) and check in and check out wonderfully easy.

Fantastic Christmas stay in beautiful Bramshott village. Olivia and Ed really helped us out when another host let us down at short notice. Cannot thank them enough for their flexibility, and for allowing our extended family to have a wonderful Christmas together. Olivia and Ed are great hosts, very quick and clear with communication, and happy to help with any questions we had. Highly recommend this home and location for large families. We easily accommodated 9 of us. Lots to do nearby, with great restaurants, pubs and local walks. Thanks again for a fabulous stay!

We really had a comfy stay here, beautiful flat and gorgeous garden. Everything is easy to use, clean and well stocked. Great big proportions and the pool is lovely. Mega comfy beds! All great. Nice to meet Sue and Ralph, Jean the other caretakers at the property/couldn’t be more helpful. Thanks

Emma was very welcoming as we arrived. She showed us around and gave us perfect advice on how to get into town. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. We found a swing attached to the trees and had great fun. The bed was like a cloud and the kitchen had everything you need. Would recommend to family and would stay again.

Warm and friendly, accommodating hostess . Very comfortable accommodation beautifully situated for walking into glorious local village and access to transport all over London.

Carmel was welcoming and had good advice on where to find local amenities. The facilities were clean and tidy. We had a good time and would recommend highly, definitely worth a visit if you like peaceful surroundings. Carmel was on hand to answer any questions we had whilst giving us the space we wanted. We had a fabulous long stay in Susan’s house. The house was perfect, spacious and homely and in a great location near Clapham high st and Clapham common with lots of nice shops, parks and close to lots of public transport. Susan was very welcoming and responsive and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and help us during our stay.

What a gem of a place - beautiful accommodation with everything you could want, in a lovely location. Great value too. We’ll have to come back in summer to enjoy the pool!
