Susitna River : locations de vacances

Very nice and isolated cabin in the birch woods. The outdoor firepit gave the kids a ton of fun. They spent the evening lighting up fires and chopping woods. The cabin has 3 bedrooms with a couch downstairs for 7 people. The indoor fire furnace was easy to light up, but hard to control the tempreture. It was too hot for a few hours then a bit cold in the early morning. The kitchen/bath/dining areas are all nice. My family rated this cabin the best of the 4 airbnbs for this trip. Suggestion for future tenants: bring bug spray if the kids want to spend the evening out door with the firepit.

If you want to be reminded what peaceful feels like, if you want to reminded how beautiful nature can be, and if your spirit needs to be renewed and refreshed then THIS is the spot to go. A truly unique and special retreat! We loved the swans and ducks, the cozy wood stove and stunning lake views. Every detail was perfect, and we definitely will return.

BOOK THIS AIRBNB!! Seriously, this place was amazing - the views of Denali from the house made this worthwhile by itself. Our kids opened the front door and said “whoa” and put down their devices. The airbnb has everything you need and more - from bug spray, to board games, to the views, to the telescope, I could go on forever. Heidi even ensured there were rubber boots for you to walk around. Heidi was also a gracious airbnb host, providing numerous recommendations for restaurants, rainy day activities, and reached out to ensure everything was to our expectations. Our family was genuinely sad to leave this airbnb but hope we’ll be back soon.

Where to begin?? This was absolutely our favorite place to stay during our whole 3 week trip to Alaska (we stayed 9 days). The house was beautifully decorated and clean. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long day. The hosts were very responsive to any issues we had (clogged drain, fixed within 12 hours) and provided lots of fun recommendations for local things to do. Which we did not do, because we were having too much fun in the hot tub. They went above and beyond with all the amenities and small touches — spices, utensils, books, coffee, toiletries. It felt like a home away from home. We wish we could have stayed longer, and we plan to come back soon!

Took a boys trip with 3 friends and I selected Susanna’s home as our second choice as our first choice had raised the price of rental. This was easily the best decision we made. Susanna’s home in Wasilla was a prime location for our boys trip as we were able to adventure in any direction and enjoy amazing sights without having to drive an extra hour if you’re staying in downtown Anchorage. I was impressed with all of the amenities offered by Susannas home. The kitchen was very spacious and was stocked with every seasoning we could need. It often became our central gathering area of the house. Another treat to be able to view the Aurora Borealis from the comfort of the outside deck. Huddling around the fire pit was also very calming during these snowy nights. Overall, I would say this home is excellent place for you and your family (or friends) to stay if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of Lower Alaska without having to drive too far. Cabin was easy to get to. It is far away from everything, but the directions were spot on. Cabin was clean and Big Lake is gorgeous at New Years.

Enjoyed this home with grandparents and hockey kids. Plenty of room, comfortable beds and upstairs loft area for young people to play games and have their own space. Big open kitchen & dining was great for family meals. Good location with a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. Thank you Heather!
