My family and I was visiting family in Petersburg. My Neice came home for a vacation from Japan (She is in the Air Force). We contacted Vonda after we stayed one night in Petersburg (at another Airbnb). The Airbnb in Petersburg had pests and was extremely filthy. Vonda came to our aid right away by letting us pay for/check in the same day. She was friendly, accommodating, and professional. We stayed the rest of the week at her place and we all loved it (especially my 1 year old). 10 out of 10/DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. Tasha 20-Year Air Force Veteran Disabled

My stay at Weldon’s Place was absolutely wonderful. I needed to rest in a peaceful environment and that’s what I got. The cottage was clean, had everything I needed and the bed was so comfortable. It was so beautiful to sit at the kitchen table and look out at the pond and how well kept the grounds were. Jackson was friendly and I can’t wait to stay again. If you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway with nature…this is it.

Charlie is a fun, easy-going guy and excellent host! It was a pleasure staying in his home. The house is a historic farm house and he’s working to bring it back to it’s original charm. If you like the country and love old houses, this is a great place to stay. So much history in this small town in Virginia!! A number of friends and myself stayed with Charlie over a long weekend while we attended a dog show. Charlie couldn’t have been more hospitable as we came in with a large number of dogs. It isn’t easy finding a host that accommodate a group our size and we’re so happy to have found Charlie!

Our stay was wonderful! The home was warm and welcoming, tucked away in a peaceful setting—perfect for escaping the busyness of the city. We especially loved “the neighbors” (the cows), which added to the charm. It was the ideal place for our family while attending my brother’s military graduation—conveniently located, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing gathering. Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot in the country - perfect for what we needed (traveling from PA to SC with two dogs). Highly recommend. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful home with a warm feeling as soon you walk in , things to do for the kids such as board games, utensils for drawing and a lot of creative history and antiques to look at throughout the home. Very beautiful and clean stay, made you feel like you’re right at home! Kelly was very responsive to my messages and is a great host was more than happy with my stay during the new years ! Thank you Kelly ! Definitely will be booking again !!!
