“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!

Wir haben hier 3 Tage verbracht und fanden das Haus perfekt. Die Lage war super um die Umgebung von Selfoss zu erkunden, Supermärkte konnte man auch in unmittelbarer Nähe finden. Der Hot Tub war super warm und wir konnten abends auch 2x die Nordlichter aus dem Hot Tub beobachten. Wir würden diese Unterkunft definitiv nochmal buchen :)

We loved our stay here. The home is beautiful and suited the needs of our family (ages 1-75). The sauna was incredible and we got to see the Northern lights from the comfort of the hot tub. The hosts were responsive and very easy to communicate with.

Had a lovely stay at Akurgeroi, the cabin was comfortable, the geothermal hot tub was delightful in the cold evenings, SO relaxing with its fabulous snow-capped mountains backdrop. It was lovely to see the little ponies out in the fields. 5 minute drive into the lovely little village of Selfoss, which has everything you need. And a wonderful evening just a short walk away to the Viking Restaurant, which served excellent food in an inspired Viking Longhouse. Thank you Sabine for a delightful stay. Xx

Oskar is a super host, very responsive, friendly, understanding and helpful. The house is located in a beautiful quiet area and is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The hot tube is a really nice addition, kitchen full equipped and beds comfortable. I would happily recommend Oskar house to anyone and look forward to a return visit.

Una casa encantadora, muy bonita y agradable. Hemos estado muy cómodos en la cabaña de Katrín. Me encantan las casas de madera. Todo lo necesario para cocinar y supermercados cerca de la cabaña. La zona es muy tranquila y relajante, sin ruidos de la cuidad y un silencio abrumador. Está a 15-20 minutes de Reikiavik o de cualquiera actividad que quieras hacer. Los auroras boleares se pueden contemplar desde la cabaña cada noche. No hemos disfrutado del yacusi por falta de tiempo o mejor dicho por miedo al frio… Sin dudarlo y si volvemos a Islandia, volveríamos a la cabaña de Katrín.

Diese Unterkunft ist traumhaft und idyllisch, mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet und sehr bequem. Nach einem langen Fahrt von Akureyri nach Süden wir sind einfach in einem Paradies gelandet-so hat auf uns die Unterkunft gewirkt! Versteckt zwischen Bäumen und viel Blumen , wunderschön ausgestattet und mit eine großartige Terrasse vorne ! Wir werden diese drei Nächte lange in Gedanken behalten! Eidur ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat sofort geantwortet und ein paar gute Hinweise gegeben was wir noch sehen können. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können nur dankbar sein und weiter empfehlen! Wirklich ein Paradies!

Geweldig verblijf. Lekker warm huisje, ruim en heel veel leuke spulletjes om te ontdekken. Geweldige hottub en zipline en we hebben het noorderlicht op 4 van de 8 dagen gezien. Goede locatie om het zuiden (zuid westen) te ontdekken en goed contact met de verhuurder gehad. Een auto is nodig om je goed te kunnen verplaatsen. Hier en daar is wat verbetering nodig aan het huisje maar ze zijn het dan ook aan het renoveren. Huisje is groot genoeg voor 6 personen. Hier zijn ook goede slaapplaatsen voor, maar de zolderkamer is echt te krap als slaapkamer. Dit is meer geschikt als een bergzolder. Ik zou het huisje de volgende keer weer boeken. Echt goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We hebben hier een fantastische vakantie gehad met z'n drieën.

We had such an amazing time during our stay and Zoei was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. This was one of the nicest Airbnbs I've ever been lucky enough to stay in. It looked beautiful in the pictures and was even more beautiful in person. The thermal pool was so relaxing and Godo was such a highlight. We hope to come back!

Johanna & her sisters were great hosts & the log cabin is really amazing! We received very detailed information how to find & check-in & also some helpful information regarding the area (supermarkets, rental cars etc.). So, we felt like home just when we arrived. The cabin is equipped with really everything you need, e.g. the fireplace & the clothes horse were very helpul when coming back from hiking on a stormy & rainy day. Worth mentioning is also the hot tub from which you can look towards the river. Overall, we can absolutely recommend the log cabin & we will definitely come back. Selfoss (grocery), the Golden Circle, Thingvellir & Reykjavik are within a max. 1.5 hour drive.

Votre cabane était agréablement boisée intérieurement comme extérieurement, de plus la douche fut un joyeux moment pour profiter de la vue de la rivière. Super logement, on aimerait y retourner.

A beautiful little cabin in a gorgeous area with stunning views. I used this as my home base from which to explore the Golden Circle. The cabin was clean and tidy, the kitchen had all the basics, and there were some lovely touches including chocolate bars, some seltzer, a full carton of milk and cereal. And the heated towel rack was an incredible luxury that I used every day! Sylvia was not there and did not respond to my message telling her what time I would arrive, but her very nice and helpful husband Gylfi greeted me when I arrived and gave me a tour. He also came out to say goodbye when I left and we had a nice chat. I would like to have used the hot tub but it wasn't especially clean. I ended up at the nearby hot pot Secret Lagoon anyway, which was great, so it was not a big loss.

Absolutely incredible! Our first time in Iceland and this stay was out of this world. Was so amazing! Perfect for couples. The views were breath taking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back when we return to Iceland 🇮🇸 waking up in the snow was such a great experience. Could not recommend this enough and have recommended!

Elín’s “house of happiness” is nothing short of a dream come true! My husband and I loved every single second at this incredible secluded cabin outside of Selfoss and already dreaming of our next trip back. Elín is a warm and accommodating host, you won’t find a lovelier and more thoughtful host out there. And don’t get us started on the outdoor shower! It has the perfect temperature and pressure! Do not hesitate to book this stay. You’ll be so happy you did it! Thank you, Elín for your hospitality! We’ll be back!

Waren nun zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft. Schön ruhig und abgelegen und dennoch sind Selfoss und oder touristische Ziele schnell zu erreichen. Selfoss und der Krater Kerið in ca 15 Minuten und der Nationalpark Þingvellir in 40 Minuten. Ideale Ferienwohnung für 2 Personen die im Urlaub abschalten wollen. Auch der Kontakt mit Steinunn ist schnell und unkompliziert. Nächster Urlaub ist schon in der Planung.

This little cabin is the perfect location for exploring the south of Iceland. It's tucked away enough to feel private and secluded but quick to hop onto the main road. Cabin was clean, with plenty of space for 3 adults and a teenager. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora two nights in a row over the cabin. The lack of light pollution meant perfect viewing spots. We loved our week here and would definitely use again.

Wir haben uns in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage direkt am golden Circle und nah zur Südküste ist einfach super. Den Hot Tub haben wir jeden Tag mehrmals genutzt. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.
