Jona was a terrific host and her cottage was perfect for our family of three. we had great conditions for viewing the northern lights and away from any light pollution so we could really enjoy their beauty!

Amazing little cottage, that we really enjoyed to stay in for 6 days. Saw amazing northern light and had peace and quiet just like We wanted. Close to all the stuff We value and love about Iceland: Golden Circle, horses, nature and the sea 😍😍😍 Friða ís always responsive in case of questions and that was amazing ❤️❤️

Mooi en ruim huisje. Vriendelijk personeel. Geweldig uitzicht vanuit de huisjes.

Die Hütte ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet und sehr gepflegt. Sie ist jedoch vergleichsweise klein. Verstärkt durch die detaillierte Dekoration ist der Platz für eine Familie mit drei ausgewachsenen Kindern knapp bemessen. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für drei bis vier Reisende. Unser persönlicher Kontakt war sehr herzlich, wir danken dafür sehr!

This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed! We managed even to see the northern lights from right there! The bed was so cozy I felt like I was in a little nook! I also loved reading on the couch and it has a table where we had our meals. It was excellent and beautiful I would recommend it to anyone visiting!

lieu de séjour atypique mais très sympa 2 cabanes dont une est idéale pour les grands enfants jacuzzi facile d'utilisation la vue est superbe (sauf la lumière des serres de tomates) lieu calme et un vrai Airbnb qui sert à son propriétaire (rare)

A beautiful little cabin in a gorgeous area with stunning views. I used this as my home base from which to explore the Golden Circle. The cabin was clean and tidy, the kitchen had all the basics, and there were some lovely touches including chocolate bars, some seltzer, a full carton of milk and cereal. And the heated towel rack was an incredible luxury that I used every day! Sylvia was not there and did not respond to my message telling her what time I would arrive, but her very nice and helpful husband Gylfi greeted me when I arrived and gave me a tour. He also came out to say goodbye when I left and we had a nice chat. I would like to have used the hot tub but it wasn't especially clean. I ended up at the nearby hot pot Secret Lagoon anyway, which was great, so it was not a big loss.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dem kleinen Häuschen. Es war sehr heimelig und warm auch wenn draußen der Sturm tobte. Die Lage war super. Schnell beim Golden Circle und an der Südküste und Polarlichter konnte man auch super schauen.

Wat een heerlijk ruim huisje. Prijs/kwaliteit beter dan de meeste accomodaties in ijsland. Heerlijk dat er een hottub bij zit. Geen last gehad van geluid. Fijn dat we iets eerder konden inchecken. Alles was ruim voldoende aanwezig en het huisje was heel schoon

Wir waren zwei Nächte zu dritt in dieser Unterkunft. Das Cottage liegt außerhalb von Selfoss mitten in den Feldern. Es ist gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet und der vorhandene Platz optimal genutzt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Für zwei Personen perfekt, für drei vielleicht etwas eng. Sigrùn war eine super Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns rechtzeitig vorab kontaktiert, um Details zu klären und uns nützliche Informationen mitzugeben. Wir haben uns wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Insgesamt eine absolute Empfehlung!

Words can’t describe how amazing this property and nanna are. The house is so peaceful and has everything you need. We didn’t have good weather to see the auroras but Nannas place would have been perfect for it! Getting to feed the sheep and chickens in the morning with Nanna was truly a highlight of our trip. Would love to stay again!

It's our third trip to Iceland and this is our favourite Airbnb so far. The surroundings is beautiful and quiet. The house itself is wonderful, comfortable and very clean. The hosts have really put in a lot of thought and effort to ensure that we have a great experience and want for nothing. Highly recommended!

This is a treasure of an airbnb. The pictures are great but it's even more beautiful in real life. We stayed two nights in winter when it had -13 degrees. The hot tub, pool and sauna were extremely nice! We were lucky and saw the northern lights two nights in a row. We had an amazing stay!

Votre cabane était agréablement boisée intérieurement comme extérieurement, de plus la douche fut un joyeux moment pour profiter de la vue de la rivière. Super logement, on aimerait y retourner.

We loved our stay here. The farm was beautiful and we were mesmerized by the horses in the fields surrounding.

Heel leuk en knus huisje in een mooie omgeving! Heel sfeervol ingericht. Afgelegen en privé en we hebben 2x het Noorderlicht kunnen bewonderen! Ook genoten van het uitzicht op een kudde paarden in de verte. Het was wel aan de frisse kant in het huisje toen de temperatuur rond het vriespunt zat. Uiteindelijk hebben we dag en nacht het elektrische kacheltje vol aan gehad, toen ging het beter.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und mit einer einzigartigen Aussicht und Umgebung! Alle angegebenen Dinge konnten in der Wohnung gefunden werden und unsere Nachrichten wurden direkt beantwortet. :) Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und würden die Unterkunft jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

This is a lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere but close to the things that you want to see. Just a 30 minute drive to Selfoss. It’s small but great for a couple or small family. They have bunk beds that are large and extremely comfortable. The views are great and the location is super secluded. Great for a break from the city or your spiritual retreat. Bathroom is small but with a normal sized shower. The kitchen and living area were great as well. Parking is right by the door of the cottage. Ran was very responsive and kind. Easy in and out.

Wir verbrachten 5 Nächte im Sel von Maja und haben es sehr genossen. Es ist sehr gemütlich, hat aber absolut alles was man braucht und zu zweit war auch genug Platz für unser Gepäck. Die Zufahrt über eine Schotterstraße war gut machbar mit einem 4x4 und es ist herrlich ruhig mit wunderbarer Landschaft. In der ersten Nacht konnten wir sogar Nordlichter sehen. Maja war super nett und hilfreich und hat alle unsere Fragen im Vorfeld immer sehr schnell beantwortet. Jederzeit wieder! Danke Maja für deine Gastfreundschaft!

This place is a slice of Goth Heaven. Isolated, dramatic and beautiful! You will need a 4x4 to get here in winter - the ice on the road is no joke - but it's completely worth it. If you're considering it, just do it!!

Dit was onze favoriete plek op Ijsland. Het heeft een prachtig uitzicht en is een gezellig hutje. Het is klein maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Echt een aanrader!

My sister, my teenage daughter and myself spent five days at Edda’s place. It suited our needs perfectly. It’s right on the golden circle so easy to get about. We enjoyed the private location, great outlook and dark skies. We were lucky enough to see Aurora twice from right outside the property :) The house is warm, modern and clean. We cooked each evening and found the kitchen well equipped. All in all a great base to explore the South West of Iceland from.

Échanges très fluides et agréables avec Jòn. Il nous a d’ailleurs alertés le dernier jour sur les difficultés climatiques et nous a proposé de rester plus longtemps dans le logement le temps de laisser passer la tempête, nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La cabane est confortable, il y fait chaud et elle est bien équipée (noté juste pour vos éventuelles courses qu’il n’y a pas de micro-onde ni de four!). On pensait que la cabane était totalement isolée mais il y a deux infrastructures très proches de la cabane et qui émettent pour l’une beaucoup de lumière, on perd un peu la sensation d’isolement. Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette cabane sous la neige!

My friend and I stayed here the last night of our Iceland trip and we had an amazing time. Einar and Thora were wonderful hosts and I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Iceland if you want a wholesome experience. They were lovely to talk to and made us feel right at home. We saw the northern lights from their patio which was the highlight of our trip!!!
