We arrived just before the sun started to set and the view across the wetlands was absolutely magical! Lots of wildlife visible from the balcony, which was great! We had everything we needed, and the place was very cosy and comfortable. The cabin felt secluded and private, but was just a short drive to Launceston. Easy to find too, and the directions were helpful. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back

Susie’s place and the location are beyond words! The Container is even better in person and is the perfect base to explore the Tamar region of Tassie. The complimentary breakfast items were the cherry on top. We had lots of fun listening to tunes on vinyl, playing guitar, and bird watching. The whole experience will be unforgettable and we can’t wait to come back.

Wow is an understatement. Following a path of shells you enter via a wonderful garden filled with flowers, olive trees, fresh tomato's, bamboo and a years supply of fire wood. The house is designed beautifully and has been decorated to match - incredible pieces of art, records, books, comfortable cosy bedding, high quality towels. All the amenities you could ever want. I was ecstatic to find a hot water bottle. The outdoor shower/plunge with sauna is a work of art in its self and the craftsmanship is impeccable. What a treat it was to enjoy these in the privacy of the backyard. The location is brilliant, out of the hustle & bustle but less than 15 minutes to Hobart centre and even less to get to MONA. Nick was wonderful. Responded quickly, provided all required information and even some additional questions about some of the artwork in the house and some gf/df recommendations. I will treasure the time I got to spend at Vista Verde. It instantly felt like home.

Such a peaceful and relaxing place to end our Tassie trip. Gorgeous little cottage in a beautiful area. Thanks so much to Karen for being so friendly and making us feel at home. The kids really enjoyed picking your yummy fresh fruit with you and playing frisbee and finska on the lawn. Definitely recommend!

So happy! My friends and I had a great stay here! The air conditioning was turned on at the time of check-in to make the temperature in the room very pleasant, and the aromatherapy was lit. Anna & Tim are very enthusiastic！I was so happy to receive the handwritten letter they left us and the food they prepared to welcome us in the refrigerator! The view outside the window of the house is very beautiful, and the environment inside the house is very clean and comfortable. We were also lucky to see a very beautiful rainbow and sunset glow.

Casey was very responsive and helpful. The place was great and had wood and fire starters ready for me. 🔥 Would stay again.

Macey went above and beyond to make us very welcome and comfortable . We were able to check out later which gave us a little more time to pack up. We loved the outdoor fireplace the firewood was all ready and well stocked . Very cosy and homey , very comfortable bed and crisp linen. The record player was a hit and enjoyed the board games . Make sure you are well stocked up and prepare if cooking to save time and money with shopping etc however there is enough great cafes and unique restaurants around . Great facilities for dogs and dog friendly beach close by . If there was a laundry it would totally be a 10/10 however that did not disappoint us as it wasn’t a priority . A wonderful relaxing place and totally recommend if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle . Beautiful flora and fauna surrounding in particular the birds and flowers . A home with character !

Loved every minute at Heidi’s peaceful home- had everything we needed and she was so lovely to leave little extras like eggs and milk etc :) We loved watching the sunrise from bed, only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We had a very relaxing three day stay at Fairy Wren’s Nest. The welcome tea and generous amount of breakfast were provided at arrival which was very nice. Great location to visit the southern part of Huon region. Highly recommended for those who want to experience the country style stay in a quiet surrounding.

Beautiful and secluded spot only a couple minutes drive from the city centre. The place was so spacious and relaxing. Would totally recommend and loved our stay here!

We had the privilege of staying at magical Kelp Cottage in January. Please see my review from January, it not just as good as but even better in our return. We had the most wonderful time and so made a return trip from Melbourne end of March to celebrate my partner’s birthday. When we arrived late Thursday night everything was as perfect as before with the delight of a welcoming gift for Russell’s birthday. Unfortunately I had (not at the property) an accident which resulted in severe injuries, ambulance to the Royal Hobart and a lengthy op. Martin was absolutely fantastic when contacted by my partner and he organised somewhere close to the hospital for him to stay. I am so grateful to Marin and Karen and I do hope we can return in the future.

Just beautiful. Absolutely everything you need in a little cabin, plus so much more. The bathtub on the balcony is nothing short of amazing, perfect for a little couples getaway. Ammenities were superb, location was great - so close to the hub of Hobart yet you feel so far away from all the noise. All the wildlife we saw, the birds waking us up in the morning - it was truely the perfect start to our holiday. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. 100/10.
