Die beiden Gastgeber Helen und Owen sind sehr herzliche Menschen, es war sehr einfach sich dort schnell wohl zu fühlen. Wir hatten das Appartment mit eigener Küche und privater Terasse. Es gibt aber auch noch eine Gemeinschaftsküche, die wir hätten nutzen können. Unsere Kutesachen konnten im Garten abgestellt und getrocknet werden. Es gibt reichlich Platz. Und da wir zu Weihnachten da waren, hatte Helek sogar noch für alle gebacken. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

What a lovely little cottage! Even the arrival, a walk through lush gardens was a memorable experience. The cottage sits within these grounds and is its own self contained little world, spacious and comfortable. You really get a sense of its history. Charlene's husband was lovely to meet and gave us plenty of recommendations of where to go on walks and places to eat in Swellendam. The best restaurants are just a few minutes' walk down the road. We would love to stay again and were only sad we had just one night to experience this quaint cottage.

The Pecan Tree Cottage is a wonderful place that offers many opportunities to relax and recharge your batteries, but it is also the perfect starting point for all kinds of activities. The cottage enjoys a wonderful location and offers numerous amenities, offers plenty of space and comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. From the moment we booked, Philip provided so much detailed information about the area and so many suggestions for stops on the way to Montagu that we could have easily spent two weeks in the Montagu area. We only spent two days there, but they left us with many wonderful memories and the desire to come back. In that case, we would definitely book The Pecan Tree Cottage again. Not least because of our two excellent hosts, Sheryl and Philip. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and pampered us (not only with the sensational treats in the fridge). Thank you for having us.

We loved our stay at Grey Rabbit Cottage! Andrew and Leanne are fantastic hosts who have clearly given a lot of thought to their lovely place, evidenced by the attention to detail and lots of special little touches. It's the perfect location from which to explore beautiful Montagu and surrounds, including easy access to the Badskloof and other hiking trails. Such a treat, highly recommended!

Couldn't have asked for more peace and tranquility! Absolutely beautiful place for relaxation!! Our pup had the best time exploring and came home exhausted!

Wonderful and well maintained place. Both in and outside. Loved the little private “stoepie”. Literally this place has all one can wish. Friendly, helpfull owners. Highly recommend when visiting Barrydale.

Only stayed one night but could have easily stayed longer. Great location in a charming cottage with a great and flexible host. Gardens were lovely. Resident cat was just adorable. Thanks David!

What an amazing weekend away we had, the cottage is huge for two people and had an old school charm that made us feel super cozy. They had put the heater on in the bedroom which was a lovely touch. very comfy bed. spent an entire afternoon reading in the lovely big garden. Walking distance from the market square and multiple restaurants. Highly recommend.

Eine wundervolle Unterkunft! So ein schönes, weitläufiges Gebiet. Wir konnten die Giraffen, Antilopen, Strausse und alle weiteren Tiere aus ganz nah sehen. Gelegentlich kommen sie an der Veranda vorbeigelaufen. Es ist wirklich ein wunderschöner Ort, an den wir gerne wieder kommen werden! Auch unsere Kinder (1&3) haben sich so wohl gefühlt, da sie einfach viel viel Freiraum in der Natur haben und es nie langweilig ist. Der Hot Pot ist natürlich am Abend wirklich so super, die Ruhe, klarer Sternenhimmel. Wir können wirklich jedem empfehlen hier zu übernachten! Das Cottage ist hervorragend ausgestattet, sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben es so sehr genossen und schreiben gerne: bis zum nächsten Mal!
