Great place to stay in lovely surroundings.

Loved our stay with Jenny. She was super friendly and helpful, but didn’t encroach on our privacy. The unit was right in Paihia -perfectly located for accessing shops, ferry terminals and tourist attractions (between 2-5 minutes walk away). Upon arrival we found access very easy, the unit clean and comfortable with all facilities provided. Very cosy beds!!! The views from the unit were absolutely beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and highly recommend this place. Hosts provided lots of valuable information on things to do in the Bay of Islands area. Comfortable bed and we appreciated the owners actually have mosquito/fly screens on the windows allowing them to be left open to let the fresh air in, without any worry about insect bites. Great views per the photos from the bedrooms. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the bay. Two full bathrooms with washer and dryer. Kitchen well stocked. Within walking distance from Paihia restaurants and the passenger ferry to Russell. Great location.

We stayed in Russel for almost a week with our two children (4 and 5 years) and we had a great time. The apartment is very spacious and clean and has everything you need. The location is perfect in the middle of Russel, and with the wharf and beach right around the corner. We fell in love with Russel!! It’s a very lovely and beautiful place. The host was helpful in her communication and everything went smoothly. The only downside with the apartment is that the terrass sometimes smells quite a lot from the fish- and chips place below (because the chimney is placed right next to the terrass). However - overall we loved our stay here and would highly recommend!!

Great big house, good communication. Beautiful view from the widows and easy access to the beach for a dip. The kitchen was also fully fitted out with everything you could need.

Great little apartment, a few minutes walk to the seafront and centre of Russell. Very clean and well equipped for our 3 night stay. Bay of Islands is amazingly beautiful and staying in Russell is a must.

This place is gorgeous and a perfect location, easy walk to town and wharf. The place has a beautiful large deck that was excellent for relaxing with wonderful views. But Mary went above and beyond by leaving us some light groceries and even a bottle of wine which was such a wonderful welcome gift! Beautiful stay, definitely recommend it! Susan, Dallas Tx

Jenny ist ein wahrer Schatz und so gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und super ausgestattet. Tolles, breites Bett. Wir haben den Meerblick von der Terrasse bei Sonnenschein und Mondschein genossen . Wir würden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt like an adventure. The long, scenic driveway set the tone, leading up to a charming vintage-style house on a vast, lush property surrounded by paddocks and trees. The location is incredibly private—perfect for a peaceful retreat in the Far North. A lovely walking track takes you to the lake, adding to the property’s charm. The house is spacious and well-equipped, featuring a powerful shower, a dishwasher, and a free-to-use washing machine and dryer. There’s also an outdoor BBQ, WiFi, and a TV with Sky, Netflix, Disney+, and more. The kitchen has everything you need, including a great oven and stove. The beds are comfortable, and the home has all the essentials for a relaxing stay. To top it off, the host is fantastic—always available if needed but respectful of privacy.

We loved our stay in the northland! We had a great time exploring the area and actually decided to cut some of our explorations short to have more time to hang out on Toni’s beautiful deck! We loved watching the sunset from the beach just a short walk away in the evenings and enjoying our coffee on the deck listening to the birds in the mornings. A beautiful home in a beautiful part of the world!

Amazing getaway, especially if you like being embedded in nature and enjoy a beautiful and private view of the bay. Shane and Lesley are fantastic and very considerate hosts, always available and responsive when needed, invisible and giving you full privacy otherwise. The views from the master bedroom and the living area are just unbelievable and we otherwise also felt right at home. We also enjoyed the herb and vegetable garden and had fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes and peppers with amazing herbs. Thank you so much!

My family and I had a wonderful stay. There was eight of us in total and the house was the right size for us all. The house was warm, clean and well equipped for what we needed. It is located in a quiet, safe, family oriented neighbourhood. Communication was simple, quick and accommodating. If the option to return is available in a couple of years we wouldn’t hesitate to since the fruit trees that have been planted will be well established by then. Thank you Claudine for being so accommodating to our family! We have already recommended your place to friends who are also looking to visit the region soon.

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

Unique location above the marina. It was great to spend time on the deck watching the comings and goings of all the boats. The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Marina Cafe across the carpark had great meals that we ate there two nights in a row. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM
