Lovely place to stay. Extremely spacious, modern and had everything we needed. Easy check in and very responsive host. Would love to stay again.

The stay was awesome! The location is perfect—within walking distance to everything: Lost Springs, supermarkets, and the beach. The house is clean and well-maintained. It is suitable for long stays. The hosts were very nice. Thank you, guys, for making our holiday enjoyable and hassle-free. We definitely recommend this house and will definitely come back next time!

We loved our stay here, such a beautiful place and in such a great location. It was just a short drive to everywhere we planned to go. We had everything we needed, with a full kitchen for us to us, it made cooking super easy for such a big group! We would love to come back here!

Beautiful home. Stunning location. Ian's home was clean, spacious, clutter free, and so comfortable to live in for a few days. Whiritoa is very small -the main highlights for us were the beach (5 mins walk), hikes, and local general store (10 mins walk). The beach was only safe to swim at on the weekends when the life guards were on duty (due to the big waves), but there is a lagoon at the north end of the beach that is calm and beautiful -tree swings, rock pools, etc. The house was easy to find, had ample and very comfortable seating for our family of 5 both indoors and out. The design and decor are thoughtful. Best espresso machine we've come across in an Airbnb! Beds were very comfortable. Windows and sliding glass doors on all sides to let the light and breeze in. Water pressure was amazing. Thank you to Ian for his very responsive communication and for accommodating a late check out! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here in beautiful Waihi! the location is very central, a short 2 min walk to the beach at the end of the street. We had 6x adults and loved that it was dog friendly so were able to bring our 2x dogs. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The large deck area was also great, it was a perfect fit! Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay at a classic kiwi batch by the beach!

Great place to stay, close to the shops, close to the estuary. So great having access to the bikes - loved riding around the area. Brilliant host, thanks so much Jo

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Sailors Rest. Dorothy was a warm and welcoming host. She checked on us during the stay to ensure everything was ok. The apartment is in a quiet,picturesque setting, walkable to the town centre. We would gladly stay at Dorothy’s apartment again.

A very well appointed unit. It had everything we needed. Really liked the location close to the beach.

Amazing location, very new and clean flat. The pool and spa were great and it was nice to have all the deck space.

Julia and her husband are amazing hosts. The directions to their home were spot on. The kitchen was stocked so well one could stay there a week and never have to shopping. They really exceeded any expectation anyone would have of a host. They recommended we go to another town for something called the Beach Hop - what an amazing experience. Thanks to Julia, it was an amazing day. They provided a shovel for use at the Hot Water Beach. All in all this was simply one great place to stay. We were there for three nights but felt so comfortable, if time had permitted, we would have stayed longer. One suggestion though is that if you have mobility issues, this may not be the place for you. Although you are perched on a hillside, downtown is a short stroll downhill

I'm sure we will stay here again - very central; beach, ferry, shops, restaurants all in walking distance. Helpful and cheerful management, apartment very well equipped, car parked onsite and out of the sun.

Séjour paradisiaque ! Idéalement situé, les pieds dans l’eau. Environnement fabuleux ! Voisinage calme. Beaucoup de choses à faire dans les environs. Nous serions volontiers rester quelques jours de plus , ne serait-ce que pour prendre le petit déjeuner le matin en regardant la mer 😊

Wow, I’m so glad I chose to stay here during my time on the peninsula. Murial and Evan were incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering just the right balance of hospitality and space to relax and unwind. They shared great local tips on places to visit and how to avoid the tourist crowds, which made my trip even more enjoyable. The space itself was perfect - spacious, clean, and peaceful. I even heard kiwis one night, which was such a special experience! It truly was a wonderful stay and made it hard to leave when the time came.

We absolutely loved our stay and wished we had a few more days.....the space was clean, comfortable and an easy walk to the beach. Jo, Steve, and Lucy the dog were very welcoming!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. It was spacious indoors. Sitting outside with a cold drink taking in the view and watching tuis, quail and fantails was great. We made use of the barbecue and washing machine. Kitchen area was compact. Alan the host was welcoming and gave us good tips on things to do.

We loved our staying at Faye’s place in Whangamata. It was sparkling clean and well appointed, and the location is amazing - just a tiny walk to the amazing beach with beautiful sea views from the living room and balcony. Faye was so friendly with her communication and was extremely understanding when we interrupted her Friday evening by accidentally locking ourselves out 🫣 (thanks again!!). I would high recommend a stay here and would love to visit again. All the best Faye.

We had a great stay at Rooftops, it was an easy stroll to the beach, cafes & restaurants. The aesthetic was modern and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Easy check in instructions, close to supermarket and restaurants, very comfortable bed (we slept well!), tea, coffee and milk available and everything you need to self catering. 2 bedrooms available. Parking available onsite. Thank you for having us!

So happy with this accommodation, just wish I had remembered it didn't come with sheets and towels... but that was my fault. I would absolutely stay here again. :)
