Good place to stay near the beach. The apartment was comfortable, clean and very convenient! Overall, a good choice in Hermosa!

Beautiful setting. Loved the pool. Peaceful location right on the beach. The restaurant has very good food and the most comfortable place to relax.

My family and I stayed at La Palapa in January. The location is right on the beach with a private area for guests and each room has it's own outdoor sitting area. Sleeping to the sound of the ocean and waking up with that view was wonderful. The location is also a short walk to everything in town. The staff was very helpful. There are many beach restaurants around the hotel, all play loud music, which we didn't mind at all, but if you are looking for a quiet area, this is not it. We stayed in 2 different rooms. #6 had 2 large beds, comfortable for 4 people, but the room itself was very small. Room #3 is a larger room but the loft only had a smaller bed, which made it hard for 4 people. The bathrooms could use some remodeling. The breakfast that was included was terrible at the beach restaurant, but the little Italian place was good. I would stay here again.

Casa Aura is a great place to stay at on the main road and beachfront, without the pain of being in the middle of the touristy section

The order of the place is evident, creating a welcoming and organized atmosphere that significantly contributes to the overall quality of the stay. The personalized attention from the owners, especially Ygal and his charming wife, was the icing on the cake. Their dedication and outstanding service made me feel not just like a guest but a part of a unique experience. Nice and clean room, everything went smooth from arriving to checking out and everything in between. Good location for doing anything in Tamarindo and the pool is in a nice very relaxing area of the complex.Host was wonderful and very helpful.Definitely would come back

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Küche, tollem Bad, schönem Pool und Terrasse. Der Ort ist noch nicht so erschlossen und daher ist weniger los, auch am Strand, der wunderschön ist! Es ist insgesamt ein sehr warmes Klima in Avellanas. Aber insgesamt sehr schön und Justin ist ein toller Gastgeber! Ich würde in jedem Fall wiederkommen!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Peace Retreat. The place is calm and relaxing, just what we were looking for. The food at the retreat is absolutely delicious! Must try. The beaches and cafes are a short drive away. We loved the space and everyone we met there. It was fun chatting with Kevin, his mum, Maggie and Denny..it really added to our experience. The yoga was fun too! Definitely recommend.

An oasis of love, harmony and beauty. I wish we would have stayed longer. Every detail was meticulously executed. Landscaping, living spaces and wildlife; coupled with an eco-friendly design made our experience very memorable. We have been traveling for 7 months and Joëlle & Simon’s place is at the top of our list. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

We loved Hotel Cantarana! It was the perfect spot to relax before our wedding in Playa Grande. Love the community and how walkable everything is. Loved the coffee shop, restaurant, and private path to the beach. Everyone was so friendly and helpful too. The bed was comfy! The pool was refreshing and very much needed. Really no complaints at all.

This was the perfect place for two families of five totaling four adults and six kids ranging in age 4-10. The checkin process was seamless and renting out an entire bed and breakfast that includes 10 rooms is pretty awesome! We were able to split all the kids appropriately and still have rooms to spare. The kitchen is awesome and fully stocked (as you'd expect from a bed and breakfast). Excellent communication start to finish was a great touch! Even during our stay we were able to turn on and off the housekeeping as required to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Walking distance (even for our 4 year old) to Ocotal beach. It can be a little rough for little ones, but my 8 year old LOVED the waves. You can easily access many beaches such as Playa Hermosa (our favorite), Playa Panama, and Playa Coco. Coco has all you'll need including Costa Rican and more North American style grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores. Make sure to check out Deep Blue Diving!

Carlos y su madre Ruth son personas muy simpáticas. Estuvimos charlando un buen rato con ellos y nos contaron cosas interesantes sobre el país. El alojamiento es precioso, la habitación ideal, la cocina totalmente equipada y tiene una zona exterior que nos encantó, llena de frutales, hamacas y mesas con luces led para desayunar o cenar tranquilamente. Muy recomendado!

The place has a lot more to what we see on the pictures. Access to the 2 shared beautiful pools gave to our stay the feel of an all inclusive resort. The shuttles to those pools and to the beach makes everything very accessible. The highlight is really the sunset view from the private little pool and from the upper deck area. Most of the windows and doors in the main area can be open so you can feel the breeze, but it is also probably why some dust got on the floor. Overall, super place to stay for our young family.

Awesome villa with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The shared pool, surrounded by lush vegetation, was the highlight of our visit. The kids had a great time swimming when it was too hot outside. Since the pool is shared, it’s also a great way to meet people staying in neighboring villas. The villa is very close to Playa Grande beach, perfect for catching waves during the day and enjoying breathtaking sunsets in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, with even more just a short drive away. We initially had some doubts about visiting this area of Playa Grande due to reports of construction, but it was actually quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended for travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo (which is just a short boat ride away) and enjoy a tranquility.

El lugar es muy limpio. Todo huele a limpio , además todo lo mantienen ordenado y bastante cuidado. La atención fue muy buena. El único detalle es que la conexión a internet es un poco lenta. Lo recomiendo mucho !!

Cute little hotel with beautiful amenities. The restaurant was delicious and breakfast options were a great bonus! We had the most relaxing time and highly recommend it to other guests!

Es un lugar muy tranquilo, me gustó mucho, tiene un lugar estratégico para visitar diferentes playas de la zona. Tamarindo queda a 10 minutos, ademas hay varios supermercados cerca. En especial el lugar es muy bonito, esta decorado con un gran cuidado, te hace sentir en un pequeño hotel. Muy recomendado.
