Amazing spot tucked away in the jungle. Peaceful, beautifully designed, great hosts, great food, fun surfing! I definitely recommend a stay here. It’s a ways off the beaten track but well worth the trip. A tip- make sure to bring cash with you- no cards accepted.

Exactly as described. Great house and location for a low-key beach vacation. The house is located “just over the hill” from Playa Grande, and is on the much quieter Playa Ventanas where we’d often be the only people on the beach for hundreds of yards, even with the holiday week. Through the gate and down a short path and you are on the beach. House itself is clean and comfortable. Everything you need - well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels. A beach tent for shade was also available when we asked. Very different than the luxury rentals popping up all over PG, but great if you are looking for a laid back stay. Jorge was responsive with questions. Felt completely safe. Would return again!

The place was spacious, clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, it was just a short walk away from the beach. The host was fantastic, and we had great communication throughout my stay. They were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had a great experience at this Airbnb and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing vacation close to the beach.

Schönes Surfcamp in unglaublich attraktiver Anlage mit Pool, Sportbereich und Lounge. Surfkurse, Bretter, Yoga und Touren können individuell dazugebucht werden. Das Frühstück ist sensationell und alle Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zu Fuss ist es leider nicht sehr nah zum Strand und an heissen Tagen mit Surfbrett ist man mit dem Auto definitiv besser dran.

I stayed at this beautiful house in the middle of the jungle of Pinilla for a night and I am so grateful for this experience. To be surrounded by this nature energy humbles you and gives you so much inner peace if you allow to surrender into it. The house is fully equipped and there is nothing to miss. I slept like a baby, enjoyed the big kitchen for prepping a wonderful meal and spent a lot time outside on the property and around. A highlight is a healing center right next to the property, where I was lucky to connect with a shaman and recieve some amazing indigenous vibes. Also very close you can walk up and enjoy an astonishing mountain view with the ocean at the horizon. The famous town tamarindo is very close so it’s easy to swap into civilization, if you need to. All in all I am absolutely grateful and I am looking forward to come back very soon! Much love, nawid. ❤️

My friends and I had an unforgettable experience staying at Casa Sal y Sol! It was our first time in Costa Rica, and we were looking for a place that was spacious, safe, and conveniently close to the beach—and this place truly had it all. The house is about 30 minutes outside of Tamarindo, and really was the perfect balance of a laid-back surfer town but also had charming restaurants and local spots. The house is very close to the beach, making it incredibly easy to run back if we forgot anything, and the beach itself was peaceful and uncrowded. Each room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. My guests and I slept great! One of the highlights of our stay was the housekeeper who came daily to tidy up and make the beds. She was incredibly friendly and also helped those of us wanting to practice our Spanish. We all agreed that this Airbnb was absolutely worth every penny. We’ll definitely be returning and recomend it to any family or friend group looking to enjoy Costa Rica!

The place was in the perfect location. Right by all the restaurants and bars and super close to the beach. My buddies from surf school ended up staying at the hotel right across the street so it couldn't have been more perfect for me. I had originally only plannes to stay two weeks and decided to stay an extra. William was a great host. Very response with the booking and while I was in town. He gave me great tips and recommendations for my trip and I also ended up doing private yoga classes through one of his friends.

Lovely place to rewind & connect to nature and animals. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, food is great & horse riding was so much fun! Would highly recommend to have a real costa-rican experience.

We had a perfect time here. The Hosts are super friendly, caring and communicative. There was at any time someone present for anykind of questions. Lieke organised a wonderful boattrip for us. Staff was very friendly and attentive too. Kids loved the pool and the beach. The mexican bungalow was more spacious than it appeared on the pictures. Food in the evening was just delicious (seafood soup, seafood pasta, sushi). We highly recommend staying here, especially for families!

Book it!! This place is absolutely amazing! Steps from the beach and the Beach Club. Flor's breakfast each morning were delicious and Erick's adventure recommendations were fantastic! We couldn't have been happier about our choice to book in Las Catalinas and specifically this house. It was just perfect! We are already planning our trip back!

Everything was great during our stay. The location is perfect, near the beach, supermarket and restaurants. The room has everything you will probably need, also the shared kitchen is well equiped. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay.

Nicko and his wife are a delight. Very responsive. The Calipso is a wonderful little oasis. The air conditioning works wonderfully. The pool is refreshing. There are many little places to relax with hammocks. It is a little more rustic as far as location and a few rough roads on the way there, but worth it! Playa Avellana is a very tiny town but once you figure out where everything is it’s great. The Calipso is right by restaurants, yoga/barre studio and an organic grocer. It is a surf town so I recommend lessons if you have not surfed before. Everything was clean and as shown in pictures. We loved our stay!

We loved our stay; the place is beautiful and spotless and the setup makes it easy to mingle with other people or to be private, whichever you like. Kyna and Elmer were extremely helpful when we had a couple of medical emergencies come up. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious; Marjorie and Kyna did a fantastic job with that. Elmer offered great suggestions about where to go for snorkeling and bodysurfing.

Arthur is a great host, and makes a stellar breakfast too! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be close to the hustle and bustle of tamarindo, but in the peace and quiet of this lovely place!

C'est un endroit très chaleureux, déjeuner excellent et le personnel souriant,très aimable et accueillant. Ma chambre et les lieux communs sont nettoyés avec soins. Je suis à ma 3 ieme fois à cette endroit car c'est un endroit sécurisant. En face de la plage de Coco, restaurant typique et épicerie près. Je recommande fortement.

El hotel tiene buenas instalaciones. Todo está organizado, prolijo y limpio. El personal se mostró siempre muy atento a nuestros requerimientos. Brindando información valiosa de la zona: atractivos turísticos, locales comerciales, etc. Lo único a mejorar es la señal de wifi dentro de las habitaciones.
