Tangier : locations de vacances

This was a great stay for a weekend away to celebrate my birthday with my husband. It was very quiet & peaceful, and the view was beautiful. We wish we could have spent more time outside to enjoy it, but it was just a bit too chilly. We did have an opportunity to sit by the fire pit and watch the swans! We found some good restaurants not too far away and overall we were very happy with everything. The heated floor in the bathroom was awesome!

Chip and Courtney were what I would call super host! It felt like home. Perfect for a couples getaway or small family. As a grandmother I thought the pack and play crib and small children’s items were wonderful. We will bring the grandchildren next time. Coffee access upstairs and down a plus. Toiletries if you forgot a plus. Other little touches and access to the refuge were generous. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dinnerware if you like to cook, and the house is decorated very tastefully yet comfortable. We used to live on the island and we felt like we were back home! We look forward to returning! Communication was quick and kind. Great place to enjoy all the island has to offer! Thank you both!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. We liked that the home was in a quieter area in Chincoteague but within close proximity to restaurants, activities and especially to Assateague. There were only two of us, but the house could have easily accomodated a family. It was well laid out, clean and amply stocked with all the essentials. It was also tastefully furnished and had comfy couches. My only wish was that the house had cable or one of the movie channels, so that in the evening, we might have relaxed with a show before bedtime. One day, we took Captain Dan's boat tour, a recommendation from Kathleen, and it was an exciting and interesting outing. We traveled the back channels in the marshes where we saw lots of ponies and a bald eagle soared overhead in one area. Captain Dan had lots of stories to share which kept us entertained the whole trip. Since it was our anniversary, we splurged on a five course dinner at the Channel Bass Inn and Restaurant. Food was excellent.

This was a wonderful getaway for my family and friends. We had two toddlers that loved the river beach and pool. There were plenty of toys to keep the kids and adults busy!

Nice home, comfy and cozy. Had some games to play and plenty of tv's. Enjoyed the ambience in total.

Very good spot for a small family trip to Tangier (I came alone, so it was more than enough.) The house is spotless, and Travis has some extras there for his guests (coffee, water, fishing rods, board games for young kids on a rainy day.) Travis also sent me the phone number for an evening ferry off the island, which was extremely helpful. I had a great stay at Travis' place, and would stay here again. I hope to soon.

If you want to get away from it all and feel right at home, this is the place to be. The house is beautiful, the rooms were all spotless and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is very well equipped. I also loved the little porch and porch swing with a view of the pond. The beach and some good hikes (to see the ponies) are just a short drive away. Check-in was super easy with a personalized code. Michelle always responded immediately to any question we had. We really enjoyed our stay on Chincoteaque Island. It's unique place.

Sea Glass Cottage was a delight! The house was very clean, bright and totally charming! Doris has everything you could need for a couple nights or extended stay. I would suggest everyone who stays read her "Welcome" book. She has great suggestions for dining, sightseeing, art galleries, etc. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is VERY large. Onancock is a fun, charming town to visit. We will definitely return and, if Doris will have us, we'll be staying at Sea Glass Cottage. Thanks Doris for a great visit! Cheryl and Jerry
