Such a cool little space in a peaceful part of Taranaki. The security of knowing my pup was safe and sound while I popped out was also relief. Ended up extending my stay and it was effortless.

Very nice stay in this great home with so many games and activities. Great view on the volcano, perfect for the breakfast on the terrace !!

Such an amazing place: a gorgeous mini cabin in amongst the market garden of lettuces, micro-greens and herbs! So private and peaceful and as you sit on the chairs outside the cabin, you feel like staying there all afternoon! The outdoor bath was delightful, the donations of food from the garden very generous, and the 'whare' is very tastefully decorated [ country style with a modern feel!] Tanya and Jodi are friendly, helpful and full of interesting info! We loved our couple days and would highly recommend this spot. { remember there is no TV or microwave, but a great stove to cook up something for brekky or dinner]

A beautiful place in the country! We loved the quiet and the views. The apartment was modern, spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were very responsive and we enjoyed meeting them. Overall, a great place to stay!

Recommend to any future guests this Cottage was Cosy, Clean & Comfortable. Having the use of a fire was such a blessing especially with the rainy windy cold weather we had on our 2 days stay, so we spent that time playing Monopoly & Scrabble enjoying the warmth of the fire. Conny & Steve were wonderful friendly hosts, thank you for our peaceful stay, we hope to come back again in the future.

Staying at Te Awa Cottage was an incredible experience—so calm and peaceful. The kids absolutely loved seeing the horses nearby. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Shelley you are an amazing host, thank you for allowing us to have a night away from our busy lives! It was everything we wanted & more. Such a gorgeous spot, can’t recommend enough if you are needing a break from reality!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short 3-day break and the accommodation was ideally suited for our family (2 adults and 3 kids) to flexibly explore the region. Great location just outside New Plymouth that was beautiful and really peaceful. Loved being able to eat out on the large deck overlooking the views. Kids enjoyed Lucy the cat and feeding the chickens. Accommodation was clean and homely, with everything you could need.

The view of Taranaki Maunga from the property is incredible!! I was expecting—but was still delighted by—the views of the ocean at sunset, but to also be able to see such a dynamic, majestic mountain was an honor. The clouds hugged the peak and cloaked it until the evening hours, and then the clouds drifted on and we were lucky enough to get to see it fully. Tanya was a kind and accommodating host, and we appreciated all of her communication with us!

Janet as a host is absolutely amazing, she was accomodating, helpful and super kind. She provided the kids with feed for her animals, which they loved! The house is absolutely stunning, both inside and out! We definitely will be back to stay again.

This truly is a next level place to stay. Extremely comfortable, clean and new. Very well provisioned with all supplies needed. We appreciated the Nespresso and milk frother to make cappuccinos in the morning and the big screen tv to watch a movie in the evening after a day out hiking and bike riding. Great location close to town. King size bed was very comfortable, as was the whole cottage.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Carrington Cottage! This home is so peaceful, perfect for pets! The sunroom on the side of the house was my favorite spot to sit and read while listening to the wildlife (birds, cows, sheep). We loved our time here, we hope to be back again next year! Notes: - Yard isn’t fully fenced but it’s big - we enjoyed sitting under the tree and reading. - No WiFi but we had great cell service so it wasn’t an issue. - About a 5 min drive to grocery store - Private & Peaceful, perfect retreat for a couple! We highly recommend this Airbnb - you are close enough to the city that it’s convenient. Kitchen & bathroom have all the basics. Hosts were responsive with any questions!

Although Jilly was not there with us, she was very friendly and helpful on the phone, recommending good restaurants, and she let us use her kitchen for washing dishes. Lovely breakfast of toasted muesli, brown bread and home made jams and peanut butter plus coffee cafetière. Jilly’s garden is totally beautiful and peaceful, birdsong abounds. Really this place is paradise! We were there in a very hot and humid season but with open windows did not suffer too much at night. Nearby Bushy Park has some nice forest walks.

Holli was the most gracious host. Her communication is top tier, her place was a home away from home with the most gorgeous views of weld beach in the front and Mt Taranaki in the back. Practically Mother Nature on her doorsteps, great way to start the day with a morning cuppa. The rooms were large and spacious with heavenly comfortable beds. Linen is 100% comfort. Bathroom was extremely large and spacious too, the entire house has a great farm vibe that flows all the way through. The kitchen and dining is beautiful and open. Lounge area is comfortable for all to gather. Woolworths is about a 15 min drive. Thank you so very much for hosting my daughter and I. So grateful to you Holli and of course Brew the sweetest little boy 🥰

My daughter and I had a wing in the house and it was completely private. Great amenities; we returned home with clean clothes as the house is well situated for drying laundry outside. Our rooms were warm and with wide windows that faced the maunga; it is a very spiritual experience to have Maunga Taranaki watching over you at every angle. We loved having cats and other animals. Glenda is lovely, caring, and a fantastic hostess; we experienced excellent manaakitanga. Ngā mihi maioha ki a koe Glenda, me ōu kararehe maha!

Perfect stay for our group of 3 couples and one single with 4 bedrooms. Nice big lounge and covered decking area. Was perfect for what we were after.
