Trust us! Even more fabulous than the photos! We had an idyllic week in Rachel’s cottage - views, location, furniture and furnishings, decks, kayaks, outdoor shower … everything was first-class. Great instruction booklet for the kayaks and accessories and solid information about the workings of this unique waterfront home. If we can get back to NZ in a couple years, finding 2 weeks to book here is a must do. Our first visit to the Golden Bay area and we loved it. Ligar Bay is at the quiet (slow?) end of Abel Tasman National Park but it is a gorgeous spot with easy access to the Abel Tasman track, shops in Takaka and the Farewell Spit tour bus in Collingwood. Good roads and light traffic in late March. Tata Beach is a short walk from the cottage.

We had a great stay despite some rainy weather. Very peaceful place and lovely hosts.

This is a stunning place to stay .the views , the gardens amazing . There were 15 of us ranging in age from 1 year to 68.we booked all the cabins and the house. We had our meals around the big table and played cards every night. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds . Lots of games and books there. Elizabeth and Duan and children were lovely and very responsive to any queries. It was a good lesson for us townies to be mindful of our water use as it’s reliant on rain water. We all loved our stay there. A New Zealand paradise

a great place to stay so close to everything

Beautiful location and great simple cottage. Everything you need, and very peaceful tucked away against the Kahurangi National Park. The view into the valley is fantastic, beautiful in the rain and sunshine.

We really enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed the well furnished kitchen. Would be nice if a way to make coffee was provided and a working dish washer. Other than those two small details, the backyard is really nice and the location close to the beach is great. The BBQ is great for cooking up some lamb and veggies.

Mariana was extremely helpful and very quick to respond. The house was exactly as described and made for a very comfortable stay. The beds were comfy, the location was superb. Plenty of space and everything we needed. I would recommend Thai place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Our family stay was delightful, with the bach impressively spacious and modern. Its upkeep and contemporary flair are commendable, seemingly renovated without losing its charm. The cleanliness was exemplary, and its location is ideal—tucked away from the main road's bustle yet a mere two-minute stroll from the beach, offering both tranquility and convenience. The deck and various outdoor areas were a highlight, providing ample space for our large group without feeling crowded, a rare find in kiwi baches. Each room allowed for personal retreats, enhancing our experience. The only suggestion for improvement would be updating all mattresses, as they were less comfortable than expected, a minor detail in an otherwise perfect setting. This stay has truly enriched our family's memories, and we look forward to possibly returning.

Beautiful place and a spectacular Host! Nicky went out of her way to accommodate us and was very helpful. I would definitely love to stay again and spend more time here !

Die Aussicht durch die großen Fenster und von den Balkonen war super. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus war sehr ordentlich und super sauber. Man ist mit dem Auto sehr schnell im Ort, zu Fuß haben wir nicht getestet, weil es an der Straße keinen Fußweg gibt.
