We had a wonderful stay at the Woodhouse! It was easy to find and to check in, and we arrived to tea, milk, biscuits and cereal - which was a lovely touch! The hot tub was just lovely - with nice views over the Dorset countryside and horse fields. They had plenty of towels and the heating worked great - which made a huge difference on these cold January days! There were 2 nice pubs in walking distance, both of which welcomed dogs in the bar areas!! Thanks for a lovely stay!! ☺️

Me and my partner stayed at ruby's retreat for our anniversary. We absolutely loved it! It was so cosy and private and we loved sitting outside with the fire on and having a bbq! Andrew was very helpful and showed us around when we arrived and answered any queries via text very quickly. It was in a great location (just under 20 minutes from Bath!) Thank you so much, would definitely come back!

We had a great stay at the Wagon! Location was peaceful and really pretty. Hot tub was lovely to sit in and look at the stars. Area was enclosed so our dogs could go in the garden. Hosts were very friendly and recommended a local walk which had great views. Lovely to have the ponies in the field next to the wagon. Fabulous!

We had an amazing time here! Really cosey place nestled in the woods, very homey feel. George, Jackie and Sara were very responsive and friendly and the video and information were very helpful. Highly recommend!

Lovely place to stay for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful view. Cute space, very cosy. Fire on upon our arrival making the place extra toasty. Hot tub in the evening with amazing view and great way to see the stars. Thank you.

Recently stayed here with my girlfriend for our anniversary, Sally went above and beyond by adding those extra special touches with balloons, banners & a bottle of Prosecco. Hot tub was on and ready for us to use when we arrived, we even had some chocolate muffins as a little treat waiting for us. Beautiful homely touches that made it feel like home from home. Peaceful & clean! We visited nearby pub for food called the Jack Russell the food & staff were absolutely fantastic! We would definitely recommend staying with sally to our friends and family. We can’t wait to return later in the year with the kids!

Great place, lots of walking easily accessible. A lot of stairs to climb to the bungalow so not suitable for everyone. The stairs are well described and photographed so there were no surprises.

We stayed for 3 nights in Annette’s cabin and loved every minute. The place was just the right size for the two of us. Very peaceful surroundings with amazing views. The cabin had everything we could need for a short break away. It was in easy reach of Dorchester - 10 minute car drive away so getting to a supermarket was easy! The cabin was very clean and bed was super comfy!!! We felt the cabin was an home away from home and had some lovely personal touches. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to the area.

I was very happy to return to the Shed for a second stay and it was as comfortable and spacious as I remembered. I was able to feel immediately relaxed and at home. Steve has made some thoughtful improvements including more fridge/freezer space in the kitchen. On this visit I was able to explore the fabulous outdoor space with my dog in the beautiful spring sunshine. This is a magical fairytale setting and I hope to have a reason to return again soon.

What a great find! The Log Cabin was a perfect base for the pair of us exploring Devon. After busy days on the coast or in Dartmoor, it was great to BBQ in the big garden, watching evening fall and the swallows dart about. It’s compact but doesn’t feel like that owing to Belinda’s clever use of space and décor. The pictures are accurate. Whatever space you’re in feels spacious and even sumptuous. I could be in the kitchen happily doing my thing while my partner lounged in the pleasant living room. Belinda is a great host, very helpful, coming to our rescue several times. We look forward to returning.

We had a lovely 3 night stay with our retriever. The cabin is beautiful, peaceful and very private with an amazing view from the balcony to sit outside and watch the sunsets. The hosts supply everything you'd need, even bits for your dog! They allow dogs to have freedom in the open fields in front of your cabin, which ours absolutely loved to play with his ball. So much to do nearby but we found ourselves wanting to spend more time at the cabin than go out as we adored it so much. Their cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We couldn't recommend it more and hope to return in the future.

We have stayed here once before, and don't regret coming again! Such a lovely place, so quiet and cosy. Sue is also lovely and communicates really well. Highly recommend!

A fabulous location with beautiful views. Quiet and serene. The accommodation was well equipped for a comfortable stay. Our dogs particularly appreciated the large garden space to sniff!

Amazing weekend away, the hot tub was clean and lovely. Cabin was really tidy & clean (great colour combo and perfect minimalistic additions like the plants & bathroom shelf details). I liked the fact they had leaflets of things to do near by too. Scott and Laura were always available if we needed anything and were so helpful and friendly. Such a peaceful getaway. Great food at the local pub too. Highly recommend this cabin! :)

My husband and I stayed for two nights with our German Shepherd, Luna. The booking information is excellent and the instructions for check in are clear and helpful. As soon as we were in, we all felt right at home and Amelia had left some lovely touches such as a personal note, putting the heating on, etc. The accommodation is compact, beautiful and comfy - exactly what we were looking for. The bathroom is great with a nice shower and sensor lighting for in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the hot tub due to poor weather but it just means we’ll have to go back. The steps could be a little tricky but there’s a security light that comes on as soon as you open the gate which is another thoughtful addition. Both the front area and the courtyard, at the back of the cabin, are enclosed so it’s great if you’re bringing your dog. Amelia is the perfect host and was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We would highly recommend Sham Castle Cabin.

We really enjoyed this beautiful wooden cabin. It was warm, cosy and quiet and just what we needed for a retreat weekend away from our busy lives. The location was stunning, set within a forest with gorgeous views over the devonshire countryside. Thank you to our host for a wonderful experience. We hope to come back again one day.

The place has everything we need. Comfortable, private, and convenient. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. It’s our favorite spot and this is the 6th time we stayed for vacation. Highly recommended and can’t wait to come back again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! The record player is a really nice touch and we listened to Stairway to Heaven more than once... It's a beautiful little hut with absolutely everything you would ever need. Really romantic. Thank you for having us!

If we could give Fiona and “The Log Cabin 10 stars out of 5 we definitely would! She was always responsive and proactive and took care of every detail which, made us feel really comfortable. The milk in the fridge, tea and coffee as well as the shortbread was such a nice treat! We identified a really small problem close to the end of our 5 day stay and Fiona communicated immediately and dealt with it straight away. We arrived after dark and Fiona’s directions helped immensely and we found the location without any problem. Still, I would recommend getting there while it is light to make things just a wee bit easier. Fantastic location but is for those with access to a vehicle. We would DEFINITELY stay again!
