Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

House was clean & well kept, matched pictures exactly. Comfortable beds & furniture. Convenient location just outside of Wellington city center. Very nice to have heating & cooling units in each room & laundry facilities. Hosts were responsive. Driveway is tricky to find & maneuver but we managed with a small SUV. Be sure to get instructions & pictures of where to turn into driveway. We would definitely stay again.

We are a family of 4 with two kids 4 and 6. This place is a great location, beautiful kitchen and lovely renovated bathrooms. Cute little sunny backyard and a few toys/games for kids. We were happy here and it was close to a few playgrounds. Beds comfy and there were all the little things that we needed for living in this place for 10 days (laundry, cooking etc). Made things pretty easy for us. Whilst there isnt off street parking, we had no trouble finding a coupon park.

Lovely quiet location but close enough to enjoy the CBD. It’s a new build which is great for cold days (yay double glazing!), and we were happy to be able to bring our four legged friend along!

Great location, tidy home, friendly host! Highly recommend and would stay again. Only thing to note is that if you have a small dog who likes to explore, there are several places your doggo might be able to get through the fence, if they are small.

Do yourself a favour and stay at Hikaia’s beautiful period house in Wellington. Its location so close to the harbour and the city centre is ideal for anyone wishing to spend a few days wandering around the city. The house itself is beautifully restored with great attention paid to even the smallest details like period light switches and even toilet roll holders! I recommend this accommodation highly.

Great place to stay. Well cleaned and kept tidy. Kids had lots of fun with the games kept at the home. Much appreciated !!

We had a lovely 4 night stay. The hosts have exquisite taste, the furniture and styling is unique, and makes this property feel like a home, and not some generic airbnb. The outdoor area is obviously a highlight, the pool got a lot of use, the kids absolutely loved it. Also the sauna was a real treat too. The indoor/outdoor flow was great, and created a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The playground was just across the road, and the beach a 5 min walk. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be keen to return.

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

Thank you, what a lovely and special family home, it made for a magical and relaxing xmas break. Beautiful deco home with bohemian vibes. A spacious garden area to play led to an ethereal private pathway to the beach which was dotted with wild flowers. Original deco elements retained in the bathrooms. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds with views. Would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

Melleny's place is a great house for great family holidays and friends gatherings. Melleny is very friendly and gave use very useful instructions and advise about the house. The house is great with lots of space inside and outside, a well maintained swimming pool and a nice garage with tennis table, darts and fussball. We spent the new year there with friends and had a great time! The house is not far from Martinborough, Greytown, Feathertown, and lots of nature spots to explore. It was great to go see the sea lion colony down at Cape Pallister (1h drive). We hope to come back for future summer holidays!

A wonderful place, with stunning views and real peacefulness while being close to vineyards, restaurants and (important with a two year old) playgrounds. The hosts could not have been more helpful - thank you.

We loved our stay at Donna's, a lovely setting, spacious and comfortable. Delightful retro themed accommodation. Donna even delivered some fresh heritagetomatoes from her garden.

Myself and my two besties had the most fabulous 3 night stay at this gorgeous cottage! Everything was perfect! Would definitely recommend! Plenty of restaurants and everything walkable! Petone rocks!

My 15 months old Minerva and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Emily’s place for various reasons. We went down for one night trip for a mission with Miri to do some paperwork for my girl, and I tried to plan everything around the schedule / our routine which meant asking Emily for a favour to have a later check out so Minerva can have her nap. Emily gracefully offered us to stay as long as we could & accommodated our needs kindly and didn’t ask for an extra charge. So it’s a perfect spot for a small family to enjoy it - the location is central, easy to get everywhere without a car, just in front of the place there is a playground, Asian spa for relaxing next door, new world is 1 min walk away. There are heaps of cooking amenities so I was able to cook for my baby and I with ease and pleasure. The bed was comfortable and the bath tub was an extra bonus for sore tired mama muscles! Very grateful to find this cool cosy spot with nice art, features and beautiful generous host as Emily.

Our stay at Anindita's property was fabulous. Anindita and her partner Neil were wonderful hosts. The property was clean, fully equipped and we had the most restful sleeps. The location was wonderful with public transport into the CBD of Wellington literally outside the front door. There were takeaways, supermarkets and other stores within walking distance. We had our gorgeous (well behaved dog with us) and he had a wonderful time. There was a fabulous doggy park literally a four minute walk from the property - perfect.

The space is well thought out, although you just have to be careful with the stairs. Otherwise it's really cute, upstairs is the relaxation space, modern home, decent sized lounge with a balcony attached. The water is just across the road - we were able to see orcas! We really enjoyed our stay, and would be happy to come back again!

Catherine's place was a perfect base for us while working in Wellington and the Hutt Valley. A lovely peaceful, private setting, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the extra touches like plunger coffee! Catherine was great to deal with-very friendly and kind!

Quite possibly the nicest AirB&B we’ve ever stayed in! My daughters were absolutely amazed at how beautiful the interior was. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything we needed to cook breakfast each day, and Mona’s recommendations for restaurants were outstanding. The location was superb, and we loved being walking distance to lots of fun shops and restaurants as well as the waterfront. Our only regret was not staying longer! Thank you, Mona, for your warm hospitality.

We had such a great stay at such a unique place, gorgeous views, dog friendly and a dog beach just across the road. We would stay again and highly recommend.
