Beautiful yurt high up in the hills. Easily one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve ever slept. The facilities are very basic and the composte toilet is definitely something to consider but the beauty of surrounding areas is a great trade off for this. It can be very misty with no view but when there is a view it is simply heavenly.

We had a wonderful stay here and couldn’t fault the hospitality. Ian went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and we loved the uniqueness of the venue. The outdoor shower was a real treat and the views are outstanding. We loved the fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. Thanks you Ian for being so accomodating and providing us and our family with a truly unique experience.

Elaine is a wonderful host - and the property where the cottage is located is just gorgeous. It was so nice to be greeted warmly and kindly upon arrival, and upon checkout I had the most meaningful conversation I believe I have ever had with a host. Many breakfast items are provided, including coffee and tea. Very helpful for a shorter stay. Thank you!!! There is a friendly dog Pippa who loves cuddles, also a cat stopped by to say 'meow'. The bathroom comes with Venetian blinds - guests might wanna check if they are able to deal with them before the hosts retire for the night.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, quirky, private and comfortable. Short flat walk to shops, restaurants and facilities. Would love to stay again.

Over our 3 week stay in NZ this was one of our favorite stays. The yurt itself is really cozy but spacious and has a comfortable bed. The outdoor kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook. On one of the afternoons of our stay we ended up not leaving the property because it was so nice to just relax there. Highly recommend this location!

A unique experience in a yurt situated on acres of rolling, lush farmland. Everything aligned with our expectations based on the accurate description of the property and amenities provided. We loved the quiet setting and immersion in nature. Crystal clear night skies and no light pollution made for superior star gazing! In the morning we explored the grounds by going for a run and had a wonderful time watching the animals and birds. Beautiful, natural cotton bedding combined with a cool evening enabled quality, restorative sleep. We unconditionally recommend this property for a truly enjoyable stay of any length!

We had a great little stay at this yurt in Greytown. An easy walk to our restaurant at night was really nice and after a big bike ride we really enjoyed a bubble bath under the starts. The wine was a lovely bonus and the homemade granola was delicious. Thanks so much!
