I had such a wonderful time at the lake summerhouse – it was the perfect escape for my partner and me. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere truly made it a memorable getaway. Sleeping arrangements were a top priority when searching for the ideal stay, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the king-size bed. It was incredibly comfortable, spacious, and the high-quality bedding made for the most restful nights. Compliments to Bob for the impeccable craftsmanship of the lakehouse! The design was stunning, with every detail – from the lighting to the beautifully designed doors Communication throughout our stay was excellent, especially when we had a few questions about the kitchen area prior to booking. A big thank you to Bob and Lisa for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to come back!

Really lovely cosy cottage in a stunning location. The cottage had everything required and comfy beds etc. Shane was a great host - he was friendly, thoughtful and responsive. I arrived before the rest of my family and he helped me unpack my car which was much appreciated- the extra mile. Also, when we found the cafetiere was broken he h replaced it within a couple of hours! Thanks so much Shane. Just one thing worth noting - the cottage is listed as dog friendly which it really is in many respects - Shane welcomed the dogs, there were dog bowls etc and a lovely garden. However, the location is so rural and peaceful (which is of course a positive) that there are many animals around in the garden and nearby (grouse, pheasants, ducks etc) so we couldn’t let our dogs out in the garden off the lead ( we have a spaniel cross so it would have been too tempting for her!). Just worth knowing if you intend to take dogs.

Enjoyed our stay at Drake Cottage in Jackfield. Cottage was cozy and the walking parks and pubs in the area were wonderful.

Penny Black Cottage was perfect for us. We were 4 adults and ten month old twins and there was ample space. It was spotlessly clean and there was everything we needed in the beautiful kitchen. Great window in the kitchen too, our boys enjoyed eating their breakfast watching the world go by. On our last morning the window cleaner came and the boys absolutely loved watching him, he was so lovely with them. I’d highly recommend Penny Black Cottage. Comfy beds, easy to park, great communication from Yvonne, and a great location so close to Ironbridge.

Amazing stay. We arrived to a preheated hot tub with beautiful views over the lake. The tepee and kitchen area has everything you may need for a night away. We will certainly be returning!

Had a lovely couple of nights at this property. Beautiful property and the view from the garden was stunning. Stuart was a great host and very helpful - would highly recommend!

Thanks, Both, for such a wonderful stay and for being so patient and accommodating despite the issues we faced (our responsibility)! The surroundings are beautiful and very close to a number of tourist attractions. Co-op is a 15-minute walk and Tesco's Superstore a 10-minute drive. The house is very well equipped with modern, good quality appliances and enough board games, colouring books and toys to keep any family happy. The interior of the house is charming with traditional style doors and comfortable furnishings. We visited during Christmas and the house was beautifully decorated and some lovely Christmas treats were provided! Claire was a very responsive and helpful host. Our only criticism was that the internet was a little unreliable, but this was a very minor issue. We would be more than happy to visit again!
