The property and house were absolutely wonderful. Despite its simplicity, it had everything we needed. My partner and I felt truly at home, thanks to its stunning location by the river. While there was some noise from passing boats, it didn’t bother us much as we were usually out for dinner and noticed it rarely, especially after 10 PM, which worked perfectly for us. Overall, it’s a beautifully designed property, and the host was incredibly responsive. Highly recommend it!

Apart from the confusion checking in it was a great place to stay. This comment is not really about Sam's House but may be useful for anyone staying AirBnB in Kanchanaburi. The message from AirBnB giving details of your stay starts with Cheked in and then the name of the place. There is unfortunately a hotel called Checked Inn. Taxi and Tut Tut drivers take one look at the message and insist they know where they are going and take you off to Checked Inn hotel. I had to get the taxi driver to ring Sam and he managed to get things sorted for me.

꼭 숙박해 보시길 추천합니다. 저는 가족과 함께 3박을 했는데 칸차나부리를 제대로 즐기실려면 최소 3박 이상을 추천드립니다. 100년 되었지만 품격있으면서도 세련되고 현대적인 이곳을 추천드립니다. Grab과 렌트카를 이용하시면 제대로 칸차나부리를 즐기실 수 있을 것입니다. 저는 하루 렌트카를 이용했지만 이틀 정도 렌트카를 이용하여 외곽(에라완 국립공원, Hellfire 등)을 다녀오시고, 중심부는 Grab 또는 도보로 이동하시면 됩니다. 아침을 제공해 주시는데 부부께서 최선을 다해 준비해 주십니다. 가족여행 오시는 분은 이곳을 강추드립니다. 아침과 함께 제공해주시는 커피 등 음료도 매우 품격이 있습니다. 머무르는 동안 배려해 주신 Host님께 감사드립니다.
