YurtSimple is a magical getaway! We loved it so much in the early fall that we visited again this past weekend, and it was just as wonderful in the early spring with snow falling this morning. Wil has thought of everything to make this a relaxing, fun, and stress-free retreat in nature. He even had the wood-burning stove rolling for us so that the yurt was warm and cozy upon our arrival. There’s plenty of cut wood, tinder, and matches, as well as light and power sources, water, all the necessities. This is really a special place and we can’t wait to stay again someday!

This is a great camp ground with wonderful nature trails and accessible necessities like kitchen, toilets and shower if you need them. But also a place to rough it if you want to. I was a first time camper learning the ropes with a friend and I felt like it was just a great place to get started. Thanks joe!

Had an amazing experience at Twisted Twig Yurt! We stayed in February and the snowy location and quiet surroundings were perfect. We stayed warm with the wood stove and wood provided. Clean and had everything we needed and lots of small touches that showed forethought about our experience. Easy drive into Bayfield, shopping and great lunch at Many Penny. Experienced the Chequamegon Bay ice caves and Mt Ashwabay cross country skiing what a great experience with our cozy home base at the Yurt.

My husband and I were scrambling to find a place to stay for some last minute plans in the area and I am so glad I happened to come across Paula and John's place. If you are thinking of booking. just go ahead and do it. The property is really amazing and full of things to do. The yurt is so cool! Comfy bed and all the needed amenities. The (detached) bathroom even has real plumbing! Paula and John are both extremely friendly and are there on the property to help with whatever you may need. We had a great stay and really enjoyed kayaking on the canal in the mornings. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing stay!! Keep in mind it’s a bit of a hike in, don’t pack in more than you need. Thanks so much to the county for having this amazing space for guests.

We went for a weekend getaway. The experience was what we expected it to be. It was surrounded by the woods, we got to light our own fire in the pit, roasted a few things. However, due to light rains had to wrap it up a little early (can't do anything about it), still thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen is equipped to prepare some basic stuff, and an outdoor BBQ for some heavy cooking (if weather permits). We were welcomed by the hosts and their two cute dogs. Expect that there will be other dogs around, as this is a pet friendly place. We made our own fire in the fire pit and room heater, there was plenty of wood, and tools to prepare kindling. We didn't need the room heater in fall season. My only feedback would be for washroom. Sometimes the smell can creep in the yurt if the flap in the toilet doesn't close correctly. Overall I would highly recommend the place, it was as it is put in the description.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in the yome - loved looking at the stars at night and meeting the animals in the morning! Breakfast was incredible, thanks for opening your farm to us!

This place was great!!! The hosts gave clear, detailed instructions about the place and did small things like prepare a wagon for luggage and set out treats when we first arrived that made us feel very welcomed! The yurt itself was beautiful and we were in awe of it the entire time. We loved the location: it was close to town, but far enough away to feel like you’re off the grid. The amenities were so fun, the foldable kayaks were a treat to use and were very easy to figure out! The hosts were super helpful and responsive too when we had questions. Loved this place so much and hope to be back again sometime ❤️

Jill was an amazing host! She communicated perfectly about everything from the property to the local attractions, restaurants and attractions! My husband was the guest, away to fish and enjoy the water! He said the surrounding and atmosphere were perfect for anyone wanting to be submersed in nature! He will most definitely be back!

Such a beautiful spot! Become one with nature and sleep under the stars. Heather was fantastic and thought of every detail that you would need throughout your stay! Even provided us with a couple farm fresh eggs from her free range chickens! Loved the peace and tranquility!! Thank you again!

Elisa and her family are super welcoming, they give you space, but also check in with you along the way to ensure your having a nice stay. lots of friendly animals around the farm, but they are a working farm so you need to be respectful. The grounds have lots of trails, nature beauty and a newly added pond that is CRYSTAL clear, and has a peaceful vibe. The owners have been working hard adding new additions like the new spa bathrooms that have 2 flushing toleits and 2 hot water indoor showers for those looking for less "roughing it" vibes. the spa area also has a new infrared sauna, 2 hot tubs, 2 cedar saunas and a lounge space. love that they kept the ruins of the building to make the spa it's own enclosed nook of peace and calm. Overall a wonderful experience. I had visited the farm back in 2020 and 2022, and it is so great to see how it's grown and changed. The yurts are also well kept, spacious and clean. everything you need is there, we just bring camping dishes and such. LOVED ❤

We had the most magical time staying at the yurt. It was beautiful, cozy and it had awesome amenities. The labels were a lovely way to keep everything organized. There is so much love and care that is put into the space. It felt like a very luxurious experience from the shower room, to the kitchen, to the record player. All the information and more was compact in a binder. Jennifer was an amazing host!! :) There is a beautiful lake walking distance that we walked spent time around. We definitely would love to come back in the summer and use the kayaks there. The yurt is also 30 minutes from Kingston so we did a day trip which was lovely. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was so romantic and we are grateful for the experience. Thank you! :)

It was a quaint, peaceful, and beautiful get away for the weekend. During the winter it does get pretty cold even with the provided heater but just bringing some extra layers still makes it worth it. Dennis and Kathy were very responsive and Dennis helped us get our car out of the drive way when it snowed along with getting us more water quickly. Coqui, their dog, was the cutest and friendly. Places in town were closed due to weather but we went to Walmart for food and it turned out fine. We also ate at this great Mongolian grill restaurant in Wisconsin Dells and went to a place called Aquavia lumina where they had an outside light show that you walk and it was amazing definitely recommend that. Also did the magiquest which was surprisingly very fun and I think next time I would need a whole day for that. The next night we saw so many stars it was beautiful and with the outside string lights my boyfriend, now fiancee, proposed! Thank you Dennis and Kathy!

This yurt truly is magical. We spent a weekend away for my partners birthday and he was so happy!! “Best birthday ever”. You could not be more immersed in nature, the scenery is beautiful and the yurt is so cozy. We played cards, made a tie blanket, ate lots of yummy food, painted, explored the river and enjoyed each other’s company. It was such a needed escape and slow down. If you’ve been camping you will be well prepared to stay at the yurt. We went in mid November so we used the fire to keep us warm which was so lovely. We can’t wait to be back asap. Thank you Karen and Phil for being such amazing hosts and sharing such a wonderful space, it’s truly such a blessing💗💗💗

The eagle yurt was exactly as it looked. It is a great place to have family together in a rustic yet comfortable environment. Each night and every morning we enjoyed a relaxing fire by sunset and sunrise. Wildlife was abundant with beavers by day and the sound of coyotes and owls at night. Other guests were kind, helpful, and generous, while the property manager Jay was approachable, informative, and gave great tips and pointers on local attractions. It is rustic, with pit bathrooms away from the yurt. We didn’t mind this at all but others might. We can’t wait to stay again.

Highly recommend staying at Elsa’s yurt! It was a cozy & peaceful get away in the woods. Perfect for the family.

Such an amazing experience!!!!! We had a great unforgettable night! It very quiet and peaceful. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. The host is super helpful and responsive. The place looks the same and even better than the pictures. Very clean and thoughtful. Highly recommended and we will definitely wanna come back!!!!

Three of us came up north for a canoeing trip during fall break. This place was only 30 minutes from the Chippewa Landing Livery. It was exactly how Seth described it and even more! The yurt was tucked on the edge of the woods, facing a wide open field and another woods across the field. I feel like we saw the best fall colors during our stay here. When the sun rose in the early morning, a thin layer of fog hovered over the field. It’s so beautiful and peaceful! I also loved the sunrise and walking around on the farm. I adored the yurt! it’s very cozy and thoughtfully decorated! May daughter also loved roasting S’mores over the bonfire. It’s a shame that I didn’t find this farm a month ago. But we’ll likely be back next year!

It was a last minute decision to get away with some friends. So glad we did. We had an absolutely amazing time. Great to get away, play in the snow and enjoy the simple beauty surrounding us. The property was great! The staff were amazing, kind, friendly and always willing to help. The accommodations were amazing and exceeded our expectations 🙂! Thank you for the amazing adventure 💜 Absolutely will be returning…. Looking forward to experiencing all of mother natures seasons, while at this beautiful property!! Can’t say it enough… thank you, thank you, thank you…. 💜

Had a great time staying in the yurt. Great location and a short commute to the ferry’s for Mackinac Island. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful and secluded location but close enough to everything. It was wonderful to unplug for a few days and feel like you’re right at home.
