A really lovely place to stay. Beautifully set up and Sheila had thought of everything. Lots of extra treats and food we did not expect! Girls loved the hot tub. Thank you so much.

Firstly wow! The area in which this little cottage is set is beautiful, tranquil and private and has an enclosed garden for mine and my sister’s dogs. The welcome hamper was the best we’ve ever had with so many goodies in! Lots of local dog walks around the area and hotel grounds and we even found a waterfall after a heavy rainfall which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was clean and all beds made up, towels were provided too. Log fire and wood fired pizza oven and hot tub were so welcome on a foggy day when we were unable to travel. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but not a real problem. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only negative was only 2 windows open. We loved the fact we were surrounded by nature and birdsong and would have loved to have the windows open to make the most of this. Wouldn’t put us off going again as there are so many other areas we didn’t get to explore around there.

Maple cottage fitted our needs perfectly and Caroline and her associates were very friendly and helpful with any requests we made. The hot tub was a welcome relaxation bonus!

The photos don’t do this place justice. It really is beautiful. Quaint, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of facilities such as vac, mop, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products etc. Kitchen is a lovely space to all sit together. Bedrooms were very spacious and room for clothes etc. Lovely nights sleep in comfortable beds. Central heating worked a treat with log fire in the room (we didn’t need to use) including other heaters. It is lovely and warm and cosy. The views and surrounding areas are lovely. We used the hot tub which was a lovely addition and worked well been outside the conservatory part. We were a family group of mixed ages and we would absolutely stay here again. Host was great with contact prior to arrival with flexible check in/out. Overall a brilliant stay and we’ve also said we would return.

Very comfortable w/e in an immaculate and well appointed property. So close to Staithes yet out of the hustle and bustle with views across open countryside. Would definitely rebook.

Excellent location with a choice of walks from the door and Masham close by, ideal for our New Year walking break with friends. Very well equipped and cosy cottage in an excellent clean condition, one of the best we have stayed in, Angela has thought of everything including a lovely bottle of festive fizz, chocolates and biscuits! Plenty of fuel and logs for the fire, plus lots of bird food to refill the many feeders that attract the birds and wildlife. The electric blankets were a treat! Large dog proof garden and off road parking. Highly reccomended!

The pictures of Photographer’s House only hint at what a fantastic home this is to stay in. We loved our stay here. Really spacious but with a cosy feel, thoughtfully decorated and furnished with loads of colour and personality and near to everything while still feeling secluded and peaceful. The weather was sunny but cold for our stay and we enjoyed the brilliant views from the decking and garden, warming up by the fire, takeaways from Cod and Lobster round the upstairs dining table and setting off along the cliff path for the beach. Ashley was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. Learning about his father and feeling we were in a family home really added to the welcoming experience. Highly recommended!

Fabulous house for our family to catch up and spend time together Clean and well presented. Private secure garden for our dogs Great amenities. Handy to walk into the centre of Helmsley for a range of restaurants. Walks from the house. Never drove anywhere all weekend. Will return

We loved it so much the first time we stayed here, we went back again. It doesn't disappoint. It's location is beautiful and peaceful, yet close to all the fantastic trappings the North Yorkshire Moors are famous for, whether that is a visit to the coast or an Abbey or one of many beautiful historic towns. We will be going back again!

We had a lovely time. It was like a home from home. Emma couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of enticing cafes and restaurants in Bishop Auckland.

This was our second visit to the cottage which is by far our favourite Airbnb property that we've stayed in. It's a lovely property, has everything you could need, extremely clean and very homely. Ideal location for visiting Durham, close to large supermarket as well as local shops in the village. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the area.

Had a lovely stay at Swallows Barn. Caroline was a great host, met us when we arrived and was very responsive to any questions we raised. The barn had all the facilities we needed, was warm and very spacious. Is perfect location for visiting Durham and surrounding countryside. Thanks

Great central location and very near local restaurants and a huge Sainsbury’s. The house was spotless. Very clear instructions, plus towels and amenities provided. The beds were very comfortable with good quality bedding. Among the best airbnb’s we’ve stayed in.

Willow Cottage was outstanding. we cannot fault this accommodation. I highly recommend a stay here, we were not disappointed. The cottage was warm, comfortable, well equipped and stylish. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is by far the nicest Airbnb we have every stayed at. The cottage and secure garden is perfect, everything you could want has been thought of - even down to a towel for the dogs and milk /in the fridge for our arrival . Comfortable and homely . Jane was there to great us and ensure we had all we needed . We can’t thank Jane enough she made our family getaway a roaring success- we will be back (after calving season!)

Comfy house in beautiful setting just out of Rosedale Abbey. Linda and Ian were friendly and very helpful. Would recommend hope to return.

Great facilities, shower is amazing, comfy bed, washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer, great location for walking to shops and great walks for dogs.

Comfortable, great hot water and shower, really peaceful and easy to get to the moors and local villages. Warm welcome from Amanda and John to ensure all I needed was there, so I could really enjoy time with my family but had a quiet bolthole at the end of each day. The famous cake was a huge success with the grandsons but I did manage a taster to confirm it is "awesome". The daffodils brought spring inside. Thank you for a real home from home.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in beautiful surroundings which were both incredibly peaceful and private. It was lovely to see the horses on the farm and staff working with them. The house was clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. We walked into the town each evening, which took around 20 minutes, and ate in a different place each time. Booking is recommended as it is a busy place. On one of returns to the farm, we were lucky to see 2 owls - one perched and one in flight which we loved. I would recommend this as a place to stay for peaceful, beautiful surroundings with amenities close by.
