The cottage was absolutely lovely, cosy and welcoming, everything you needed, home from home. I wanted to get away from it all and this property certainly provided me with a great location to explore the coast, lovely walks with my dog and was so quiet, it was heaven. If you want to hear real stillness and nature at its best, this is the place for you. The Bed was really comfy with good showering facilities, couldn’t fault it. Simon and Jo very helpful and friendly, introduced themselves to me. I will be back soon. I was just wondering if What three words would help re location as I did struggle with locating the property. We have used Airbnb several times but have never had the friendly personal approach we had from Ollie . He was welcoming , engaging who exuded pride in what he was offering to his visitors. His willingness to offer his fabulous gardens to enjoy was very much appreciated I would highly recommend

We had a lovely time. It was like a home from home. Emma couldn't do enough for us. The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of enticing cafes and restaurants in Bishop Auckland.

thank you Jen and Brian for such a magical stay! we couldn't have asked for more! everything was magnificent, the extra touches to mark Stephen's birthday was touching and memorable, I was also surprised with a bottle of Prosecco, went to view bridal dresses but never found one I liked and brian and Jen were so sweet and still gave it to me lol thank you both! we recommend this place highly, the pictures don't do it justice, you need to experience it yourself. we loved the cosy corner, playing darts, sitting by the fire, chilling on the beach chairs ( i must have these now for our garden lol) and the hot tub is the best we have ever been in. the garden is just stunning and comes alive at night! the bed was super comfy too, got such good sleep. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go again! thanks again to our attentive and wonderful hosts!

Great two bed, two bathroom flat on ground floor only 5-10 mins walk from the centre of Durham. We based ourselves here for exploring the university and it worked well for that and well as the town. Very handy for a good Italian restaurant only 2 mins walk away.

We had a great stay. The apartment was perfect - stylish, clean and had everything we needed - including some good board games to play. We were in Durham to look at the university and it was a great location to look around the city - an easy walk along the river. The host was so helpful - friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you!

A great place. We had the mother in law with us so the downstairs bedroom and shower room were brilliant for her. Easily accessible with a lovely host. We will stay again when up visiting next time! Thank you Cate.

Granary Lodge is lovely, comfortable, well equipped accommodation in a pleasant rural setting but in easy walking distance (about 19mins or 1 mile depends on your pace and how easily distracted by wildlife you are ) of the Old Oak Tree pub/restaurant at South Kilvington. Jane and Philip went out of their way to make this a memorable stay, even down to the selection of goodies to welcome us on our arrival. They were on hand if needed but also happy to leave us to our own devices. Thirsk is 2.1mls away, a bustling town complete with train station linking it to York, Leeds etc, pubs, cafés a large Tesco and Aldi and all the shops and craft outlets you'd expect from Herriot country. This is a gem of a property, we can't recommend it or its owners highly enough. Wish I lived there.

Great stay for our family with a toddler. Had everything we needed and was comfortable and spacious.

We were staying up there for my Sons wedding , then we stayed on a little over Christmas to see the children . The Ubers are amazing and I just downloaded the app ‘Uber eats ‘ as well and they can do a shop for you from the Coop ,Sainsbury’s and Tesco and more . Uber travel was very good and reasonable . Area of house is great for Newcastle , Durham or Bernard castle area . Rooms are a good size , beds comfortable. Walking for elderly parents was nice and they increased their fitness immensely , as the fresh air has helped them along with the trips to the countryside which is all around . Very Clean throughout . Comfy sofa and large chair. Great for a family . Garden is enclosed and very safe . Rachel has been a very kind host , and fast to respond to any querys , I would recommend the area and the home , the locals are friendly and there’s a Tesco express which has a bit of everything , in walking distance . Warm and welcoming, banister on stairs plenty of cupboards . A*

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

Stylish cottage in a quiet location and only a few mins walk from the high st. Only thing I would suggest to improve is providing more toilet roll (no spare rolls) and some tea/coffee/sugar would have been nice to arrive to. There is a Morrison’s less than 5 mins walk away so it was fine though, it didn’t spoil our stay and would stay again.

We had a wonderful break - Rosie’s cottages are just gorgeous, five stars all the way. Beautifully appointed, furnished and so central in the heart of such a lovely village Stokesley. Everything was easy to get too and lots of restaurants and shops right on our doorstep. Rosie was so welcoming as a host - lots of beautiful and thoughtful touches, pristine condition and spotlessly clean. We felt very lucky to have found such a great place to stay for nearby family celebrations. We’ll definitely be back!

A lovely stay in this amazing little bolthole in beautiful, characterful Yorkshire. The value for money is, quite frankly, ridiculously good. Anthony is very friendly, helpful and welcoming and we got the impression that both he and Jane really do care about their guests. Small extras like a crockpot, an air fryer and coffee machine are all so useful and make the place feel like a home -from-home. Having a washer & dryer makes everything so easy too - and surprised us for the low price! Everything is very clean too! Parking was easy with the permit and we felt like everything was straightforward and hassle-free. Area is handy for tourists too - Whitby is 30 mins drive away, Robin Hood’s Bay at around 40 mins abc Scarborough at 60 mins. Thank you so much, Anthony and Jane, we’ll be back!

a fabulous apartment with a great host, in an really good location with a fresh selection of restaurants withun 10 min walk as well as supermarkets and other shops. Well equipped kitchen, and good coffee. loved the balcony with a view over the marina. This was my third stay so that should tell you how awesome I think it is.

We have enjoyed a 28-day stay at Gary's and Fiona's apartment in Bishop Auckland. The property was clean, comfortable and well set up; having a washing machine, along with a clothes dryer, was a bonus for a long stay. The property was well located and within walking distance to cafes, shops and supermarkets. Gary and Fiona were very helpful, informative and accommodating hosts. We would stay again.

I stayed for 3 nights while doing a short course. The apartment is situated in the middle of Darlington. It’s a beautiful location with old cobble stone streets mixed with modern coffee shops, restaurants and even a cinema, a short distance away. The apartment was spotless, modern yet homely, a perfect base to explore or as I did, study for the following day’s studies. Highly recommended!
