Our family traveled 16 hours from Toronto and was able to check in as soon as we got into the city after trying to book an extra day to try and secure Annie’s apartment in hopes to have a place to go. After letting her know our predicament and schedule, she adjusted the bill and we were able to save money by that; we got in around 9 AM and was completely amazed on how clean and homey the house felt. The drinks, and food Annie left for us to snack on and drink almost felt illegal lol never have I ever been in an air bNb that was this welcoming and for that, I don’t think me and my family will ever forget “Maxwell house” - the beds were comfortable, having extra blankets and pillows were superb. Worth the money and every star I left, 5/5 ⭐️ will always be on the look out every time I need a place to stay in Thunder Bay. Ooh! And I almost forgot to mention the window seat! So beautiful! 3pm is an awesome time to check out btw! Annie was outright an amazing host! Excellent communication :)

We enjoyed our stay at Joelle's place. The house was clean, spacious, and well equipped. Lovely spacious bathroom and bedroom upstairs very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was honestly one of the best stays i have ever had in Thunder Bay. The setup was perfect for my dog, and the house was beautiful and homey. The location was great, nice and quiet, not a lot of street traffic. The place was clean and comfortable and felt so welcoming. Hosts were responsive and made sure i had everything i needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to a lot of amenities downtown/the waterfront. The street was quiet, place was easy to access and I felt right at home! Great value for the stay. Definitely would recommend to anyone

Spent a few days enjoying solitude, sauna, and spa! Gorgeous scenery. Great place. Lots of little touches like wood already split, bird seed, even a toboggan for the kids! We loved it!

Unfortunately we didn't have the time to really enjoy Robs place due to a severe weather Forcast. We thoroughly enjoyed our shortened stay. Very private. We called it sort of rustic chic! Would definitely stay again!

Spent a whole week at Dave’s Airbnb during my work trip. It was comfortable and cozy. Floors were nice and warm at night. Great location and had everything needed during the stay. Would definitely recommend and Dave always took the time to send a message to make sure everything was good. He also accepted my request super last minute and was very accommodating from beginning to end! Hoping to stay again.

The level of cozyness at Suzy’s place falls short of words. We were treated like family and felt right at home the moment we arrived. We walked into a bottle of wine and lots of goodies. The space was cozy. Clean. Spacious. Quiet. We stayed for about a month and half and I wish we booked sooner! Maxie and Nexus (the dogs) were also great hosts. Loved being greeted by them. Super well trained and friendly. The best. Our dog, Rambo also loved it. He especially enjoyed the fireplace. I’d 100000% recommend Suzy’s place. Honestly one of the best people I met. We had paint night and it’s the best souvenir from TBay! Lotsa fun. We’ll forever keep in touch. Super kind, sweet, giving and warm. Always baking yummy goods and leaving them as surprise treats. Even made us dinner one night. She also super accommodating. If you’re in Thunder Bay, I’d say you’d regret not booking this place. Best experience. Thank you for everything. We hope to see you all soon.

Robert was a fantastic host. The place was very cozy and peaceful and was everything needed for a wonderful getaway from the rustle and bustle of everyday life. To top it off, my girlfriend and I got ourselves stuck and he helped dig and push our car put and was even willing to help tow us out if it came to that. He went above and beyond anything I’d expect from a host. And I highly recommend staying at one of his locations if you want a great place to stay and a host who has your back. We’ll definitely be back!

Great, quiet, and remote cabin – perfect for a peaceful getaway while we were in area to fish on a lake nearby. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a family emergency, so we didn’t get to fully enjoy our stay. The hosts were very kind and responsive throughout. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I'm sure it's even more enjoyable in the summer when you can make the most of the outdoor space.

We live locally but booked this listing for a work retreat and planning session. It was clean and comfortable and well appointed and a quick drive from the city but far enough away to focus on the work at hand. Very quiet with a beautiful view.

Fabulous view of the lake. Great location for going to Sleeping Giant, Ouimet canyon, Amethyst mines and Kakabeka Falls to name a few.

We loved spending Thanksgiving weekend on the Lake! the cosy cabin with the warm fireplace was the perfect place to celebrate as a family. Plus have a few great saunas! Thanks for having us!
