Our subcontractor team had a fantastic stay at Anne’s house while working on a project in the area. The house was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything they needed for their stay. Anne was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially when we needed to extend their stay unexpectedly. Her flexibility and understanding made a big difference for us. Welcoming host, proactive and provided with more facilities than one can think of. Great place to bring kids. We visited in April so it wasn’t too hot or too cold and used oil heater only late into the night. TIP: Move the oil heater closer to bed in peak winter before going to bed.

The accommodation was beautiful. Very comfortable, tastefully furnished and spotless with all the amenities one needs. The setting is peaceful and the outlook over the billabong is lovely. The gardens are the highlight. Bountiful and a labor of love. Wonderful setting to rest in, listen to the birds and read a book! Wendy provided a generous hamper of breakfast goodies including home baked sourdough and encouraged picking produce from the garden. Kelpie Pete was a great companion on walks around the property.

This place is like a theme park A time travellers delight It is niche but if you want a piece of living history then you don’t go past the homestead Yes, its a bit dusty- but then so is history Seriously a grand experience Tied it in with the Elvis fest in Parkes and could not have been happier The host was super helpful and really clear With communications . Just so much fun

My partner and I enjoyed 3 nights at the Strawhouse cabin. Meg and Justin are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. we enjoyed having breakfast and meals in the available cellar door or on the deck. The outdoor kitchen available is simple but good for basic meal prep. It was in a great location for us to go to a local vineyard for a wedding, bushwalk around the Canonolas area and easy to get back into town. The wine tasting and breakfast were added bonuses! thanks again! K

So beautiful and peaceful, it was the perfect escape. With the gorgeous bathtub and breakfast ingredients provided, it was everything we were after! And our dog was thrilled with all the space and their beautiful dog in the neighbouring garden! If we ever need a break from the city again, this is where we’ll be!

Rebecca went above & beyond to understand my requirements and help me out. The cottage felt like walking into your best friend's home - homely, welcoming and with everything you need. Plus it is super dog friendly and there's way more to do and see in this area than I realised! It's great when the host as well as the property exceed your expectations and that's the experience I had here.
