Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

Very nice host, very calm place. The most equiped losge, we had, everything was perfect, feel like at home. And the jacuzzi after a long day of driving is really cool.. Thank you Kristine !

This is an amazing property ! Be prepared if you want to capture northern lights, because Reikiavik area gets cloudy most of the time and other areas do not as there is more wind. As for the cabin everything worked as published even the jacuzzi. The cabin was warm and welcoming. There were even two espresso capsules that even the nicest resorts forget to put them on. If you want to have relaxing nights in the suburbs consider this place for sure

Staying in this incredible place for my 30th birthday has been an unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to witnesd the northern lights twl nights, pure magic ! This is truky the most beautiful place on Earth!

We had a lovely and relaxing stay in this wonderful cottage. Remote but close to Selfoss. Only 45mins to Reykjavik. Perfect for a few days away to relax and get away from the world! We loved the hot tub and looking for the Northern Lights. Looking forward to going back one day!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was so easy to get around to all the local spots and right off the major roadways to get to everywhere else along the southern coast! Jon & Rosa were also extremely accommodating when our original dates had to be cancelled due to a huge snowstorm cancelling our flights. They were willing to work with us on rearranging our travel. We loved how close to the town their home was. There were a lot of great restaurants & hiking. We also loved that the Viking restaurant was a 3 minute drive away. We got to see so much of the southern coast due to the proximity of this bnb. We were a quick drive to everywhere! We can’t wait to plan another trip to come back!

Das Häuschen war super. Es ist super ruhig gelegen, man fühlt sich sehr abgelegen, obwohl ein paar Häuser drumherum sind und man in paar Fabriken drumherum hat (man sieht nur die Lichter, es ist nichts zu hören oder zu riechen). Wir konnten sogar in zwei Nächten Polarlichter sehen, das war unser absolutes Highlight. Der Ausblick auf den Fjord war auch jeden Tag wieder atemberaubend. Die Ausstattung war perfekt, es fehlte an nichts. Wir konnten sogar den Whirlpool benutzen. Wenn man sehr empfindlich bei Geräuschen ist, sollte man ggf. Oropax mitnehmen (der Wind kann sehr laut werden). Das Häuschen war der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Roadtrips in den Süden, nach Reykjavik und in den Westen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wonderful place to stay. Much bigger than we expected. We were far enough away from city lights to see the Northern Lights every night. It had everything we needed and the host was extremely accommodating.

Unser Aufenthalt in der kleinen Wohnung in Reykjavik war sehr schön. Die Lage ist super und total zentral. Die Wohnung hat alles was man für ein paar Tage in der Hauptstadt benötigt und wir fühlten uns direkt wie zu Hause.
