Well, my husband and I have stayed there on and off for the last six months for local work, so we know the place well. Sadly, our project has come to an end, so our most recent stay will be our last for work. BUT, we love everything about Todd and Barbie and the house, and we will be back for fun hiking weekends. Hiking, waterfalls, everything nearby. It's the best place we've stayed in the area. Private, squeaky clean, big deck, large dining room table for big meals or spreading out the paperwork, GREAT internet connection and TV options. We'll definitely be back on our own - we feel so comfortable there in every way. I could not recommend any higher - would give it a "10" if I could. Todd and Barbie also bent over backwards to help us with a couple of last-minute schedule changes. Such honest and thoughtful hosts. Thanks Todd and Barbie for EVERYTHING over the last few months. We love you guys!

Beautiful view and plenty of room for our family. Kerry responded quickly to my questions and gave clear directions. I’m glad she recommended to stay on paved roads since we arrived at night and alternate routes take you down gravel roads. Convenient location for our stay to enjoy snow tubing and amenities at the Sapphire Valley Community Center.

This is our second time staying at John's place, and it was just as wonderful as the first. You feel like you're staying at a friend's house not a vacation rental. It's so cozy and the beds are more comfortable than my own at home. We will definitley be back for a third stay soon.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We needed a weekend retreat, and this place was perfect. The accommodations were ideal for our family of four. The house was beautiful and the surroundings were picturesque. We spent quiet mornings and evenings catching trout down at the pond, took walks on the trails around the house, and took the short drive into town to enjoy the shops, bakeries, and breweries during the day. We will definitely be back!

My family of 11 adults and one 2.5 year old enjoyed Kim's place immensely. We all enjoy pool and ping-pong and having such a large second gaming and chill space. It was wonderful. The views are incredible, the kitchen has EVERYTHING you could ask for and then some. Our adult sons all enjoy cooking and one enjoys bread making and they found all they needed to experience cooking to the full. Beyond Kim's control and not due to neglect in any way, the dishwasher failed. Kim was extremely proactive and responsive. My husband is quite an experienced handyman and was able to troubleshoot and repair numerous problems within the dishwasher. Kim was very appreciative of his help, continual communication and troubleshooting. The 4 star clean rating explained: Our assessment was that the cleaning crew did not move furniture when vacuuming or move kitchen counter things when cleaning. It is a beautiful home with plenty of room and we enjoyed it full and would stay again!!!!

This house has a great location. It is quiet at night but still within walking distance of the restaurants of downtown. The hosts are easy to work with. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. I would stay here again.

Wonderful stay at Pisgah House! Check-in was a breeze, and the home's interior felt warm and inviting. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches—coffee, powdered creamer, and sugar meant we didn’t have to run to the store right away. The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and we’ll definitely stay here again when we're in the area. Activities we enjoyed: Caesar’s Head State Park (SC), Pretty Place (SC), and hiking the Pink Beds Trail in Pisgah National Forest. Favorite restaurants and breweries: The Square Root, Rocky’s Soda Shop, Brevard Diner, Big Mike’s Pizza, Oskar Blues Brewery, Ecusta Brewery/Gordingo’s, and Brevard Brewery. We had one small hiccup—I accidentally locked my phone inside, which had the door code. Todd was incredibly responsive, and we truly appreciated how quickly he helped resolve the issue. Overall, this was a fantastic getaway! The house is conveniently located near great activities, and Brevard is a wonderful town to explore. Highly recommend

This place is just as described. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with all the amenities of home. I loved having coffee each morning on the sunny balcony. We have family nearby, but this place is also a great spot to discover nearby Pisgah and DuPont parks! Raphael is a great host!

Awesome place to stay with a big group. Amenities were great for staying in, and the location is great for heading into Brevard or going out to explore. Would highly recommend the spot.

Beautiful cabin in the mountains! Perfect location for upstate SC and Pisgah activities. Our daughter was thrilled with the hammock and never wanted to leave it. Also, the kitchen was incredibly stocked with anything and everything you need. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our long weekend at Base Camp. Communication with the host is excellent and check -in is simple. Lisa is proactive in providing the renter with detailed info about their stay and should clear up any concerns or questions. The bright interior of the house is cozy yet modern and clutter-free. The bedroom closets all offer nice shelving and hanging rods with plenty of hangars. Linens and towels are fresh and white and beds were comfortable. Bathrooms are updated and water pressure is excellent. The kitchen is stocked and appliances are in good shape. The deck is a great space to chill after a day of hiking even though you can hear the vehicles on the highway below. We elected to not use the fire pit because of burn bans but the outdoor space is lovely. The photos and description accurately depict the property. I recommend staying at Base Camp when you are visiting the Brevard area.

This was the BEST house we have ever rented anywhere and the best hosts, they are so nice and accomodating! Everything was so clean and the house has everything you could want! The hot tub was really clean! The kitchen is amazing! Beds are super comfortable, and each bedroom is very nice. There was a beautiful building out back to store bikes in during our stay. Firepit is beautiful, plenty of wood, nice chairs! It is a wonderful location, VERY short walking distance to everything-Lumberyard venues, downtown Brevard, even to the college! Beautiful neighborhood, nice neighbors! The house is beautiful outside and in. Everything was so clean and nice everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts are just as awesome as the house! We can't wait to come back here again!

This is a beautiful house in a peaceful setting. Multiple decks with fire pits, sauna, and hot tub. It was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook multiple meals. We would definitely return.

Wow! What a view. Great location and close to town. Beautiful home was spotlessly clean w generous space for everyone. The house is actually nicer than the pic. Primary bath w separate shower and garden tub. Plenty of large cotton bath towels and plenty of supplies. Fully stocked kitchen-we cooked most nights. We enjoyed the outside fire ring and the kids loved making smores. The home has everything we needed to make a great family vacation. Highly recommend.

Our travelling family went to Zach’s home for just a 2 night stay. I’ll start by saying that the location couldn’t be better. It’s extremely quiet, peaceful and private. You’re only 12 minutes to triple falls and the same drive time from the grocery etc. the home is over 200 years old and in amazing shape. The inside is decorated modern but still holds such a classic decor of original time and it’s beautiful to see. The beds are great and there was everything that you could need while there. Anytime we thought we couldn’t find something… there it was! Just in a perfect spot that was utilized in the most perfect way. At night, the stars are beautiful and we would sit around the fire pit and have smores and enjoy the cool evenings of March. It was more than just a visit for us, it was also an amazing place for our kids to learn about the history of the area and feel like they were in a home away from their own. We will definitely reach back out to Zach when we return to this place!

The location is perfect for a little getaway. The sunset view from John’s place is breathtakingly beautiful. We found really good hiking and exploration options, along with great dining places. We cannot recommend John’s place highly enough.

This wonderful house is less than a 10 minute walk to downtown Brevard. We had 7 guests, and there was plenty of sleeping space for all the adults, and room to lounge. The kitchen is well stocked with all sorts of cooking gear above and beyond the basics, which was great for our group. Beds are very comfortable as well. The home decorations are interesting and eclectic (in a good way) so it feels comfortable. The closet space and bathroom size varied from room to room, but was enough for our needs. This is such a great location we were able to watch the July 4th fireworks from downtown with a short walk! Would definitely consider staying here again.

This is the second time we stayed here. It is very close to downtown area, as well as our relatives, and they accept the dogs, so it is perfect. The yard is nice and big, too, also a plus if you have pets or kids. The street is busy, but just a block away is a lovely neighborhood for walking. It's nice and peaceful. The inside is very nice, too, with a complete kitchen if you don't want to go to restaurants every night, and the grocery store is close. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to anyone staying in Brevard.

We cannot say enough good things about our stay! The accommodations were even more beautiful in person and activity choices are endless. We had more than enough room for our family of 5 and enjoyed the great kitchen and gas grill. We hope to return in the future.
