Beautiful and comfortable. The children enjoyed their stay and the fenced yard was a bonus. Pristine and wonderfully decorated, we would stay again!

John responded right away about my late check in and was very nice. The house was very clean and smelled good. He had it all warm any cozy for my late snowy arrival.

The pictures do not do this place justice, the view from here are absolutely breathtaking. Wild life such as Elk and deer were everywhere, and you can see snow capped mountains right as you pull out to the main road. It is a little ways from the gas station, so make sure you’re not running on fumes before heading in. The potbelly stove is way more than enough to keep the place very warm on a chilly night. The locals are super nice, and even gave us a tour around Stonewall and taught us a bit of history surrounding WWII.

Absolutely perfect! Our host, Amanda, was so helpful, from weather conditions and snow impact to the area, to what pots are available to cook a Thanksgiving turkey in. We love the solitude and privacy, in the most beautiful place on this planet! A peaceful respite to a hectic city life, this house was comfy and cozy with stary skies and a running river close by. The perfect vacation get away...if you really want to get away from it all.

We truly loved our stay. The place was just as described and remarkably clean. The host was responsive with any questions we had. The houses were both very cozy and welcoming. We'd like to come back to explore the area more so will be looking to see if this place is available. The road was a little busier than expected but nothing that would keep us from returning.

My family and work crew spent a month at Matt’s Guesthouse. It was great for both groups. We had a two week family reunion with 8 kids and adults and a dog. The guesthouse is well equipped for preparing family meals with all the cooking equipment we needed for regular meals and holiday celebrations. When our work crew came they had comfort and privacy. The entrance and parking area accessible from the alley were very convenient. The covered parking and 3 additional parking spots was just what we needed. We enjoyed the covered patio area. I was warm and sunny almost every day. The neighborhood was lovely and we enjoyed being in Trinidad and found friendly people and lots of activities.

First of all, Daniela was an exceptional host! She was extremely kind, gracious, and responsive during our entire stay. Best host we have ever encountered! As for the cabin…simply AMAZING!! It was impeccably clean and well stocked (they thought of everything). If you arrived with only the clothes on your back you would be more than comfortable 🙂 The view is spectacular, one of a kind! There are hiking trails nearby and the walk into the quaint town center was enjoyable. The town center has a park, tennis courts, small basketball court, and playground for guests with children. There are also a few restaurants, to include a dog-friendly one, and a country store. You WILL NOT find a better place to stay in the entire area; WE WILL BE BACK😉 Thank you to our gracious hosts for a truly wonderful stay!!

Dana is a wonderful and kind person with a who cares a lot about the guests she hosts. Her space was inviting, clean, and comfortable. I immediately felt at home and would not hesitate to visit again!

The Maple House provided a perfect place to stay while we participated in the 2024 Rad Dirt Fest bike ride. Linda was great to work with (thank you Linda) regarding our guest list changes and allowing us to add our dog at the last minute. We also fell in love with the history of Trinidad and the history of the Maple House. Linda and the house made us all feel welcome and at home. The property is VERY dog friendly!We highly recommend you book the Maple House for your next visit to Trinidad CO !

Joey's place was just as described and a perfect stopping point for our roadtrip. Plenty of room for 2 adults, 1 child & 1 infant. Easy to find, easy check in, good communication.

Chris was very helpful ensuring we knew what to expect prior to arriving. Answered any questions we had and even sent a video making sure we knew how to make it up the driveway! We had a great time and the cabin worked perfectly for our 2 families! We come to Cuchara every year for family reunion and will definitely try to rebook for next year! Thanks Chris!

This place is awesome. This ranch house has beautiful remodeling and has everything you need. Old house with new furnishings. It’s out of town but yet very close. A creek running through the property and great hiking and outdoor activities. It’s close to the railroad track so a train rolls thru each day, which is kind of cool. it’s just absolutely stunning view and the sandstone mountains out your back in front door. Definitely coming back! The house were great too, and very professional. Thank you so much much.

Wow! What a hidden gem- we would definitely love to return to this beautiful home in the country. Even though it is so close to the highway, you cannot hear traffic whatsoever- just the sounds of the soothing wind and birds. The layout is fantastic, clean and the farmhouse decor is thoughtful. We loved reading the heartwarming story of Red.. plus an 18 pack of farm fresh eggs for 6 bucks?!? You can't beat that!!! 100 percent recommend booking your stay here

This place is super peaceful. Our cabin had a steam shower & sauna, this was so nice to have as this was a work trip. Bed was very comfortable. I Would highly recommend this place for a get out of the city & recharge getaway! Beautiful area. Thanks for hosting us Vivian.

What an amazing location... sitting on the deck, listening to the tranquil sounds of the river was so relaxing. So quiet ... in addition to the river, we could hear the wind rustling through the trees. No airplane noise or traffic noise. The dark sky made for fantastic star gazing ! Inside the home was modern and clean with high tech amenities. The kitchen provided every appliance and spice one needed. Beautiful bathroom with lovely towels. Everything in the home was so new. The living area was quite spacious. The bedroom was very artfully decorated and so cozy. Hot tub towels were provided as well as Dog Towels in case of muddy paws. Host was most responsive. Townspeople were very friendly. Fun area with two lakes just outside town with hiking trails around lakes. Staying here was most enjoyable.

Vivian was a wonderful host! She was friendly and her hospitality was beyond compare. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others looking for a respite away from the hustle of every day life. The woods behind the cabin were fun to explore and extremely peaceful. This was even better than the description on Air Bnb. I am so glad I had a chance to unwind and reset here
