It was absolutely nice staying in the house of Tomo and Mao. Great starting point for visiting the Wazuka tea plantations. Supermarkets close by and also 2-3 restaurants for the evening, if needed.

I had a great stay with Mao and Tomo. They were very helpful and their place is nestled amongst the beautiful tea farms in Wazuka. I really liked waking up to the sound of birds chirping every morning. I highly recommend their place if you're planning a trip to Wazuka.

We spent 2 nights at Daiki's place. It is a lovely modern renovation of a traditional home, tastefully done. Located amongst the tea fields of Daiki and his wife's tea business. It is remote in the sense that the reason you go is to be amongst the tea fields. They give a nice tea tour and introduction to tea tasting, the meals they provide are outstanding, a lot of love and care goes into everything they do and shows. They organized a day trip for us to explore the unique ceramics of a nearby town, which is highly recommended if you have an interest in ceramics. This is a unique opportunity to both stay in a modern Japanese-style home in the country-side and experience Japanese tea culture. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the hospitality that Daiki and his wife showed us. Highly recommended. Takes only about an hour from Kyoto, short train ride and about 45 minute taxi ride.

非常にアクセスも良く、宇治ど真ん中でした。 お部屋もすごく綺麗でゆっくり楽しめました。 宇治観光や、宇治で何か用事がある方にオススメさせていただきます！

Logement spacieux. Parking privé pratique. Chambres avec bonne literie. Machine à laver qui sèche le linge très pratique. Cadeau de bienvenue très gentil et personnalisé.

We had a fantastic stay at Yuka's place! Traveling with our 5-year-old daughter was a joy, as she absolutely loved playing with all the toys. The home is spacious, well-equipped, and perfect for families. Yuka is an amazing host—warm, attentive, and very responsive. Uji is a wonderful destination with plenty of activities and restaurants nearby. The supermarket is also just few mins away, which was very convenient. We would love to stay here again!

J'ai passé un bon séjour. La mère de Yasunari était très aimable avec moi, elle m'offrait du thé et des petits gâteaux. Dommage que je ne parle pas japonais et eux pas anglais, la communication était compliqué. Je dois avouer également que toute les règles de vie de la maison font perdre un peu le caractère insouciant des vacances. Ne pas pouvoir rentrer entre 11h et 18h notamment. Le fait qu'on rentre faire le ménage dans votre chambre fait perdre en intimité, bien qu'il soit agréable de voir la poubelle vidé. Mais l'emplacement du logement et le rapport qualité prix pour un logement a Kyoto est très bon.

Chieri, Wabi and all the others made this stay not only traditional japanese but also kind, lovely and totally great in general! We enjoyed traditional breakfast, the accomodation in a 90 year old house with lovely details that made us just feel like home! Although the weather was a little colder in Ide (been to warm Tokio before) it was a warm stay (heater was our best friend). We also got the chance to enjoy the sakura festival at the beergarden next to the house with some of the best streetfood we had! A lovely stay, we would definitely visit again. Un vrai plaisir d'avoir séjourné chez Mickael et Ikuko, un endroit agréable au milieu des théiès, la maison était propre et nous avions tout ce qu'il nous fallait, Ikuko et Micakael sont des hôtes en or et ils sont très aidant, nous avons passé un excellent séjour grâce à eux.
