Everything went smoothly and the flat was clean, spacious, and quiet. The amenities, like washer and dryer, were wonderful. While the location was slightly off the common "tourist path," we actually appreciated that and it was an easy bus ride or Uber back to the flat each night. We also enjoyed the local pub and the food choices nearby. My only issue was the lack of communication about the 3 flights of stairs/no lift. This fact is mentioned in other reviews (as I see now), but not in the description of the property nor in the initial instructions for accessing the flat. The stairs themselves are not Ben's fault and as I learned on my 14-day journey through Ireland and the UK, accessibility is not a priority in these old cities. That's fine. But the lesson for me I guess is to read reviews a little more closely, as that's the only place the stairs are mentioned. I have bad knees so trekking up the stairs each night after a long day was, quite simply, torture. But still a great stay.

Great place with plenty of space, nice and clean. Amazing seaside views and round the corner from the high street. Would love to stay again!

Really enjoyed our stay in Yvonne’s property. The flat was pristine, very spacious and the guidebooks and treats really made the difference. My mother and I would definitely return should we need accommodation in Newcastle again - thank you!

What an excellent AirBnB - Rachel was a fabulous host, very communicative and the apartment had everything you could need. Would certainly recommend anyone visiting Edinburgh to book with Rachel in future, we will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The host Daniel was friendly and very helpful. The apartment was fantastic, perfect for a couple. We were in short walking distance to pretty much all of Edinburghs main attractions and felt safe walking around too. We had a great time staying here and highly recommend it to others. This was a very comfortable stay for us. We’re only sorry we did t get to meet Daniel and his dog.

We had a great stay in Jays house. Everything at hand for anything that you need to make a great stay. We found the bed very comfortable gave us a great nights sleep. Location was excellent plenty of bars & cafes within minutes walk and we were in the heart of the city within 20 minutes. Very close to ULEZ so make sure you plan your journey and skirt around it I otherwise it’s a £60/30 fine.

This apartment is well placed within walking distance to many attractions. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen was well appointed. Giovanna and Angelo were very responsive. We would happily stay at the apartment again.

Un apartamento decorado con gusto. Cómodo y práctico. Cerca del centro. Calle llena de pubs y restaurantes pero tranquila. Hemos estado a gusto. La única pega es que si vienes en coche hay que aparcar a unos 10-15 minutos en un parquing bastante caro. Pero vale la pena la ubicación. El anfitrión te informa muy bien de todo y da buenas recomendaciones.

We loved loved loved this place! Hoping to come back soon. The house was perfect for my family (2 adults and 2 kids). The kids loved the enclosed garden, the toys and games around the place. I loved the utility room (I know 🤦‍♀️😂), the living room space, the en-suite and the kitchen/dining space. I also really loved the location, we walked to the beach and the park each day. The whole estate was quiet and friendly. Gary was proactive in giving great (free) ideas of what we could do when the weather changed. He was friendly and helpful without interrupting our holiday. I cannot put into words how much we loved the house. There were so many lovely touches round the house (like automatic lights on the stairs) which made the house exciting to the kids. We loved this property and would definitely book it again!

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Mel checked in with us a few times and we had no issues during our stay. We visited Kielder Forest which is well worth a visit . Would highly recommend.

Ideal hub for myself and kids. Very comfortable, excellent kitchen and fast broadband. Would have preferred a better parking spot as I have a large car and needed to mount full kerb to access parking. I didn’t fancy parking on street as it was adjacent to small junction. Just something to note. Aside from that, very happy. Thank you very much

Jamie is an absolutely lovely host and the flat is beautiful and spotless. The bus stop right outside is very handy, also the Co Op just around the corner. Not the most salubrious area but nice and quiet. Would definitely stay there again, an ideal base for exploring Edinburgh.

We enjoyed our stay in this property, it was decorated to a high standard and had a good amount of space for our needs. It had almost all the facilities we needed to celebrate Christmas (we needed to buy a few more trays for the oven but that was about it). One thing to be aware of that we missed when booking is that the bathroom is downstairs at the back of the house, behind the kitchen, which was a bit of a surprise as we didn't remember seeing that noted before booking, however didn't cause us too many issues during the visit. The only other thing to note is there were a few minor maintenance issues (missing/dead light bulbs for example) that should be fixed, however again this didn't cause any problems during the stay, just something that could be improved to fully bring out the potential of the space.

Cosy and ingenious use of space. Loved the thoughtful decor and the fabulous selection of books. Within easy walking distance of shops and the lovely Milan restaurant.

Very easy to find….and to get into the house.. The size of the downstairs was great for our party of eight. Unfortunately two single women and three couples didn’t go too well with the beds provided. The sofa bed in the double bedroom upstairs wasn’t used. But that was nobody’s fault and in the end we managed ok… We cooked the first night which worked well. We couldn’t find some things we needed evidently but Nadine was helpful.. There are plenty of ovens and microwave …..and washing machine which we didn’t need. TVs in lots of rooms.. Would’ve been better to have had a bigger table and the right number of chairs. Also more than eight of everything mugs, plates, bowls. Dishwater tablets were provided, t towels, towels - great. Wardrobe doors didn’t work in one bedroom…Having two bathrooms was good but because one bathroom is en suite upstairs meant most of us used the downstairs one so mopping up a lot. Easy to catch buses into the city.

Amazing property In a perfect location, just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. The flat had everything we needed for a weekend get away. very well priced and worth every penny, the place is immaculate and the beds are heavenly. Samantha is an outstanding host, very kind and wonderful to talk to, we foolishly locked ourselves out of the apartment at 4am, Samantha instantly picked up the phone and helped us !

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

We had a great and relaxing 3 days in Alnwick. A great location to explore both the town and beautiful surrounding area. Fabulous accommodation and close to amenities. Barry was a great host. Would definitely recommend 👍

Just spent a few days at John's place, this is a beautiful, modern 'home from home' apartment, very tastefully decorated with lots of skandi touches and spotlessly clean throughout. Upon arrival we immediately felt right at home, the apartment was lovely and warm with subtle fresh scents throughout, the welcome treats were such a nice touch too. Location is great set in a quiet residential area and just a 5 minute walk into Alnwick with it's great choice of pubs, bars and restaurants...we particularly loved Dirty Bottles, Mumbai Indian and Carlo's fish & chips. The Joiners Arms in High Newton is a great choice for lunch after a stroll along Embleton Bay. Despite the cold the weather was beautiful during our stay which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend John's place and would love to return. We had a wonderful stay in Edinburough. Gintare’s apartment is beautiful. I love the way the rooms were laid out in the apartment. A large entryway with a convenient place to hang your coats. The kitchen was spacious with a round table next to the window. It was fully equipped and found that it was so thoughtful of the host to have tea, coffee and sugar available for guests. On the right side of the entrance was the living room with plenty of seating. We felt like we all had space and were not on top of one another. The bedrooms were also spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment is conveniently located and walkable to everything that we wanted to see. If you need a break from walking there is a tram a two minute walk from the apartment. What I loved best about the location however was the amazing sourdough bakery across the street, Twelve Triangles!!! We went there every morning and brought home lattes, fresh milk, pastries, sourdough bread and jam.

Michelle was wonderful. We had an overnight flight but were allowed to leave bags early and check in several hours earlier. Michelle was responsive and a great resource. Shower was a bit tricky to navigate, and could have used some extra towels but otherwise everything was as described. Had some trouble with the dryer our last day, but things break down so no big deal. We loved the location. Be prepared for City noise - some ear plugs took care of that! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Pauline est accueillante et attentionnée. Son appartement est grand, bien disposé, propre et bien équipé. I really enjoyed my stay at Ella & Robin's beautiful place. The apartment is elegant, clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious and safe. They were terrific and highly responsive hosts and made sure that I was content with my visit. It's located in in a calm part of town, yet only a few minutes from everything you want to buy, see, and do. I would give 6 stars to this location if I could, and highly recommend it to other travelers.
