I’m quite particular about where I want to spend my birthday each year, and this by far has been my best choice yet! The immediate peace you feel being surrounded by nature and the constant relaxing sound of the streams flowing captivated me from the moment we arrived. Porter checked in that day to ensure we had everything we needed or if we had any questions which I always appreciate, but was not necessary as everything was exactly as described!! If we did have any questions, they were quickly answered within the cabin with the helpful notes left throughout. For being an off-grid experience, we had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay to the fullest. Locally, we very much enjoyed hiking Kaaterskill Falls which was a completely breathtaking experience and I cannot recommend enough. We also went fishing which was quiet, private, and so serene. I could honestly go on and on but what it really comes down to is this cabin and its surroundings are magical! 1000/10 experience!

Such a lovely place. A simple but beautifully appointed cabin surrounded by truly stunning nature - River, woods, large rocks, nearby gorgeous hikes. The beds were so cozy - we had the best sleep there! And the fireplace was so lovely, especially on cold and rainy nights. It was a perfect place to greet the New Year. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

This place was so peaceful and gorgeous! We stayed here during the A Weekend in the Life event and it was such an easy drive into town and to all the activities. The house itself had great amenities and things to do! During our stay, the heater did break, but our host was on top of it. The house has a pellet stove that kept it toasty, so she had 5 bags of pellets delivered to the house for us, she had someone come out and service the pellet stove and she had someone come out to service the heat all in one day! They were accommodating and helpful. We also had our dogs with us who has plenty of space and the airbnb didn’t smell like dog. You couldn’t tell it was a pet friendly place. We loved it!

Great place! Great location. Perfect secluded place right nearby to Hunter Mountain. Great spot for a family ski trip.

Our stay was fantastic! The location is great with lots of land to explore. The house was rustic but had everything we needed. Note that there is no TV - this was actually a plus for us as it encouraged us to spend more time on other activities. The hot tub was clean and had a great view. Overall, it was a tranquil experience in a great location. I’d recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend away.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Marta’s place. It had everything we needed, clean comfortable beds, kitchen with all necessary equipment, clean and modern bathrooms, a lot of games and books, a cozy living room with a fireplace that created the best atmosphere. We spent our time playing games with the kids, relaxing and cooking. The place is definitely recommended and super close to stores, restaurants, just a quick drive to center of Woodstock. This place is a hidden gem in a great location, especially if you live ski or other winter sports (perfectly located close to several mountains). Regarding the property, it was pristine clean, well arranged and had everything we needed (or even more). The rooms were comfortable and the hot tub was a great touch. I would completely recommend this place to anyone visiting west mass, will not disappoint.

Maitri's A-frame provides a peaceful, serene location and home to relax and enjoy nature. I appreciated the attention the details in the home, clear communication/info, and outdoor amenities. Hope to have another time there in the the future. -Tavis

Donna's place was a wonderful weekend stay! Beautiful property and guest house. Well appointed and care for. Just a few improvements that would have made our stay even better--a small microwave for quick reheating of coffee/leftovers, a luggage rack and place to store/hang clothes, and ensuring the driveway and a walking path are cleared of snow even when out of town (with thawing and refreezing, we had to navigate two inches of solid ice, which was terrifying both on foot and in the car).

Beautiful location...nice and quiet. 7 or 8 mins to woodstock. Decorated seemingly professionally. All the appointments (convennces) you could ask for.

Phoebe’s place was absolutely amazing—don’t think twice, just book it! I had the most peaceful weekend. The property is quiet, cozy, and beautifully maintained. My son and I had such a special time, and I’m already planning our next stay. The beds are super comfortable, and Phoebe is so kind and welcoming. The best part? The serene stream right outside, with ducks passing by—it felt like a little piece of paradise. Everything you need is nearby, with plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Can’t wait to come back this summer!

The home had everything we needed and more with a wonderful layout for family/friends to gather/cook/hang out. Every room was well stocked from kitchen to bathrooms and even games, activities and accessories in the bedrooms for kids and adults. We only wished the weather was better for us to have enjoyed the outdoors more, but that gives us a good reason to come back!

What an awesome spot, we wish we could’ve stayed longer! Spotless cabin, tastefully furnished with everything we needed to feel right at home for a last minute spring break trip to Woodstock. Darin was so kind and welcoming and we really appreciated having a little canine company (sweet Junior) along for some walks down to the stream. Can’t wait to visit again when it’s a little warmer! Kate was so responsive and kind and made us feel very welcome. The house is full of charm and so cozy. We spent our vacation spread out on comfy couches around the big woodstove. The area is beautiful and peaceful, I loved taking my dog for walks down the road and letting him run around the woods in the backyard. Everything was clear and well communicated and we felt right at home. Thank you Kate!

Excellent stay for a small group - we only stayed for a weekend, but would be a perfect spot for a weeklong trip as well.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful; thoughtfully designed and well appointed; exactly like the photos. Property is super secluded, can't wait to go back in season to enjoy the outdoor firepit. Directions and house manual were super specific and accurate. Definitely get dinner at Matilda at the Henson, fantastic food and a beautiful room. Pro tip: definitely get your supplies before you check in, nearest town is about 15 minutes away! Will absolutely be back!

Had a wonderful weekend getaway in this lovely cabin. The bathtub and sauna were perfect to use to unwind after hiking during the day, and the property is so beautiful I could hardly tear myself away from the windows. Drinking coffee on the back porch with the deer is the perfect way to start the day. The cabin was very clean and tidy and I appreciated that everything necessary was provided. Stacey and her husband are nothing short of wonderful for sharing a piece of their beautiful property with guests. They gave great instructions and the place was exactly as it was listed, a beautiful cabin perfect for reconnecting with nature, a partner, and especially ones self. I hold the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh very dear and own a few books he's published, so when I saw that they had a selection of his works on their bookshelf I knew, without a doubt, I booked the right space. I loved the wood fire stove and old fashioned toilet. I really appreciated the guest book as well, a written print of how meaningful time in the cabin has been to visitors. The windows in the space were my favorite aspect, waking up to a calm and tranquil nature scene all while snuggled in bed. Thank you for hosting, thank you for curating a space of reflection and gentle contemplation.

Our stay was lovely, Alissa’s place had everything we were looking for. Remote but not too remote with beautiful views, quiet, clean and cozy. And Alissa was very responsive and easy to work with - we would definitely stay here again!

Nothing but great things to say about this Airbnb. The house was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with pretty much everything you need. The hosts were also incredibly helpful and responded right away whenever we had questions or issues with anything. Highly recommend this Airbnb. I hope to come back one day!

This cabin was a blast from the past! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy perfect for unwinding and spending quality time with a partner (and even a furry friend, if you have one!). If you visit during the colder months, make sure to layer up, as it can get pretty chilly. Also, leave the “boujeeness” behind because this spot is as outdoorsy as it gets! A heads up the bathroom is located in an outhouse, so pack some flashlights because it gets pitch dark at night. Despite the natural spookiness of nighttime, the cabin is a fantastic way to travel back in time. Watching old movies on VCR, playing Madonna on tape, and almost going ballistic over Mario it was a nostalgic trip! If you’re looking for a unique and charming escape, you have to give this cabin a try. The only regret we have is not staying longer!

Our stay here was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Liam’s cabin was so beautiful and everything we were hoping for our trip. The location was perfect and the house had everything we needed/wanted! We would recommend everyone staying here- wonderful hosts with a wonderful home !!

My dad and I had such a wonderful weekend in Samuel and Catherine's cabin-- there was everything we needed for a quiet, cozy stay. We were ostensibly in town for my daughter's graduation recital, but it turns out we were also there to hear the wind in the trees and the rushing waters of the creek. Coffee on the deck in the morning was serene, conversations around the campfire in the evening were hilarious, and the cribbage games at the kitchen table were fierce : ) Samuel and Catherine were gracious hosts-- easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We hope to return soon.
