The property is beautiful but Billy and Gill made our stay extra special. They couldn’t do enough to help us feel at home. The apartment was clean, spacious, warm, safe, cosy and exactly as described. There is a large lounge to relax in with a great range of DVDS, games and books. We also had access to the games room which our boys were intrigued by and found a lovely Pinocchio book, Disney jigsaw puzzle and had a little go on the snooker table. But the stand out was the garden with treehouse, trampoline and ride on toys - our boys were obsessed - it was all perfect for our needs. Nice little extra touches were the welcome treats on arrival for both us and our kids and a bottle milk in the fridge. Billy and Gill always had time to talk and make sure everything was okay for us. I had a treatment with Gill which was amazing and would definitely recommend. Already planning our next trip at Stonelea House - thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

We had the best weekend staying here - the place was lovely, had absolutely everything you need, with Christmas decorations giving it a lovely touch! This house was absolutely stunning. It was well worth the money we paid. We had 12 guests for a Hen Do and we had plenty of room. The hot tub was wonderful and warm, even if February. The view was stunning as were the rooms. Each room was beautifully decorated, including a stunning shower and bath. Hosts communicated clearly and responded quickly when I had questions. Would definitely return and recommend!

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

We had the most amazing stay at the hide, everything was thought about even to the last details. Hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal! Our favourite thing to do was to sit and relax in front of the beautiful scenery whilst our pooch explored the surroundings with a cup of tea in hand! Plenty to do not only within the surrounding areas but at the hide itself leaving you occupied at all times! We cannot wait to return next year and thank you again!

Just back from a lovely weekend away with the family and it was just what the doctor ordered. We arrived in total darkness and pouring rain to a toasty warm cabin which was much bigger than it looked in the pictures. Super location on the site down a little lane which was quiet and surrounded by woodland. The cabin itself was spotless and within no time the kids had picked their bedrooms and settled in. The cabin was a great base for exploring the North-East coast and after a days beach walking it was nice to come home and go for a soak in the hot-tub. The welcome pack a lovely unexpected bonus after a couple of hours drive. We will definitely return at some point in the future.

we had a lovely stay. Patricia allowed us to check in early as we had an early flight and she extended our check out which was great with 3 young kids. Her house was very clean and in a great location. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance. There was a bottle of Prosecco left for us which was a lively surprise and the kids loved collecting the eggs from the chickens and making for breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a lovely stay in Whitley bay. The house was perfect for us as a young family. Such a lovely downstairs open plan space and we really appreciate the toys left out for our little ones. All the amenities we needed. We had a few requests and these were accommodated and communication was quick. The house was in the perfect location for us - we hardly used the car and walked everywhere with so many good places to eat and get coffee on the doorstep. We just had the best week. Thank you to Jacqui and her family for lending us their home.

Accommodation, location and host were perfect & Joanne very kindly allowed us to check in early and check out late. Lovely, little thoughtful gestures - milk, bottle of wine, chocolates & doggy treats! Very clean, tidy and a very quiet location for a peaceful weekend and easy to park the car too. Thank you

I recently moved back to South Shields and stayed here whilst searching for a permanent rental and would highly recommend! The apartment looked exactly like the pictures, was spotless throughout and had all amenities you could need. The location was ideal; walking distance to the centre of South Shields as well as the beach with shops and restaurants on the doorstep, yet extremely peaceful inside. The bed was extremely comfortable. Colin made my stay great, he responded quickly throughout and even had the heating on before I arrived so the apartment was cosy when I got there. I ended up extending my stay privately with him. Couldn’t recommend more!

We enjoyed our short stay at No57 it was perfectly situated and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do would gladly stay again

The flat was warm and cosy on arrival and remained so despite the January weather. The welcome gift was a lovely touch. The front windows caught the winter sun all day, with great views over the Tyne. It was comfortable, relaxing and quiet, just what was needed. The location is excellent for all the village amenities and for the metro station, perfect for trips out to the wider Tyneside area with its wide variety of interesting places. The acid test is whether we'd go again - the answer is a resounding yes.

A lovely well maintained property that is exactly as shown and described. The property is in a perfect spot with the beach opposite and a couple of cafes or further restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk away. The property has a fantastic host, who is fast to respond to messages or queries. Highly recommend it, definitely will be returning in future.

James and Mark were perfect hosts, always responsive to questions but not intrusive during our stay. The place is immaculate, very clean and comfortable and amazingly quiet for an apartment, the whole area is. Private parking which is a godsend as the visitor spaces are always taken and easy to check in, if staying in the area again I wouldn't stay anywhere else if it was available

Credit where it’s due, the house was super comfy and located a short walk into town. The Host, Munro was always avatars came to see us when we couldn’t quite grasp what he meant. Nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend this house if you’re in the area.

Fantastic stay. Carla was very welcoming and helpful throughout. The apartment is in a beautiful part of town, only 10 mins walk to the centre. It would be really hard to fault it.

My work colleague and I needed a place for 4 weeks of work in Newcastle, and Thomas’ place was perfect. Great amenities, well equipped kitchen, with a dining table, lots of space upstairs, effectively we had a floor and bathroom each. The centre of town is only a 20 mins walk. Thomas was a superb host. It’s a charming home. Thanks so much.

2 couples shared this apartment comfortably for the Carabo Cup 2025 Newcastle v’s Liverpool final brilliant w/end brilliant apartment, we all had very sore heads this morning & didn’t read leaving instructions until travelling back 🤦‍♀️ heating was turned off though as it was very warm anyway! Lovely apartment walking distance from everywhere you would want to go in Sunderland. Very responsive and accommodating host could not recommend more highly.

We were staying up there for my Sons wedding , then we stayed on a little over Christmas to see the children . The Ubers are amazing and I just downloaded the app ‘Uber eats ‘ as well and they can do a shop for you from the Coop ,Sainsbury’s and Tesco and more . Uber travel was very good and reasonable . Area of house is great for Newcastle , Durham or Bernard castle area . Rooms are a good size , beds comfortable. Walking for elderly parents was nice and they increased their fitness immensely , as the fresh air has helped them along with the trips to the countryside which is all around . Very Clean throughout . Comfy sofa and large chair. Great for a family . Garden is enclosed and very safe . Rachel has been a very kind host , and fast to respond to any querys , I would recommend the area and the home , the locals are friendly and there’s a Tesco express which has a bit of everything , in walking distance . Warm and welcoming, banister on stairs plenty of cupboards . A*
