Perfect retreat high along the NC-TN line. Stunning views of the Blue Ridge from the deck and living room. Easy access to hiking and to the Appalachian Trail. Easy drivable access to Big Bald Mtn with views for miles. House is well equipped for a large group as far as towels, beds and dishes. Great hot tub right next to the deck for easy access. Very responsive host (within minutes). You do need AWD or 4WD to get up the steep driveway.

My family of 12 stayed this past week and this truly may have been our favorite Airbnb find yet. I didn’t fully understand the benefit of staying in Wolf Laurel- but it’s a private gated neighborhood that gives you direct access to hiking on the Appalachian Trail- the backyard of this Airbnb literally puts you on it! We were able to drive up to Bald Mountain, summit it and walk down 4.5 miles back home!!! I have never stayed somewhere like that. The space provided plenty of places for our family to come together to cook, play pool and board games, relax in the hot tub, have campfires, play with our dogs, and space to be alone when needed to reset and recharge. The hosts were incredibly responsive and quick to help when we had a few last minute questions. We are very hopeful to return one day soon!

A pristine home in an amazing private community. Full equipped with kitchen, bath, and extras. Always great recommendations and responsive to questions. Highly recommend for families that enjoy nature and privacy.

A fantastic place, one of the best Airbnb’s we have ever had. Easy to find, extremely clean, fully stocked and clean kitchen with nice cookware, otherworldly views and panoramas. You won’t be able to stop taking photos! Two minutes to hiking trail and ski slope 10 mins away. Follow the instructions in the check-in/out notebook to take care of the few little quirks like the stubborn door latches, and it all works perfectly. Definitely booking again!

Excellent location with a great host! The house is clean and has several amenities, not to mention beautiful views and great decor. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and cookware. Host is responsive and friendly. We will definitely book here again!

second time at Daniel's 100+ year old cabin. easy access to hiking on Appalachian trail and the view cannot be described as other than breathtaking. very enjoyable stay.

We love everything about this AirBnB! The location is central to a lot of great areas of East Tennessee, yet private and in a peaceful setting. The indoor and outdoor furniture is comfortable for those days you just want to relax! The space is high-end and clean! This cabin is so well stocked— we never have to run to the store for supplies! Amy has thought of everything! This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back! The hosts are hospitable and available if need be. Thank you so much for an awesome week!

Beautiful home with beautiful views

This was our second time staying at this adorable clean Airbnb. It brings back so many childhood memories of my grandparents home. As always we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Ms. Eunice and Grace for your amazing hospitality.

This is a second visit. Just as before, everything was neat, clean, and very convenient to our son's home. Ed very kindly allowed our grandchildren to visit. My husband and I felt right at home. Ed is very responsive and visits seem comfortable and easy. We appreciated the snacks left for us and the convenient amenities. We are comforted in knowing there is a lovely place to stay close to our NC family.

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

Great place to stay and very quiet. It had everything I needed. Clear check-in instructions, and it was easy to come and go without the host needing to be there. Very clean! I will stay there again when in town.

Micah is the true definition of family away from family, home away from home. she make the visit worth every minute with welcoming greeting,comfort and a gift of peace when you really need it. no matter if it's the keys that you locked in your car or where can I pick up my groceries she is definitely the person to try and book your stay with

Bonnie was helpful, kind, & the place was great. Peaceful, quiet, & pretty. Feel for her & her family, & all her neighbors, due to all the aftermath I witnessed while there. The storm damage all around them was terrible. It's a wonderful place to visit & stay.

Luciene's place was wonderful. Clean, comfortable, convenient, just as advertised. The location is beautiful and quiet. It's just minutes from Weaverville and Asheville. Luciene responded to questions within minutes. We were very happy with our stay.

Kevin was a very friendly host and his wife even made us cookies and offered to make us breakfast. Very sweet people and we will definitely stay again.

It was a wonderful relaxing stay. I wish I could have stayed longer and had a chance to explore the area more. comfy bed and soft leather chair by the fireplace. note: house is allllll the way up the mtn so keep going in you are arriving after dark. the house is at the end as far as you can go up.

Perfect place to get away for a bit - right by a creek as advertised, cosy, surrounded by trees and the mountains. You truly can feel you are on your own! Space is very functional and well thought out, perfect for a couple of people. Very strong internet which sometimes is surprising in the mountains! Great place to hide away from the world but also to go explore the area - great hikes abound, as Rocky Fork park is just around the corner basically.

Everything exactly as described and Gretchen helpfully accommodated me when my travel plans changed. Highly recommended!

A rustic retreat in the mountains! The deck, views and hot tub were as relaxing as described, and would definitely come back to explore more hiking. Proximity to Hatley Pointe was ideal for our ski trip and the fireplace was perfect to warm up after a day on the slopes.

Beautiful stay for our family for an impromptu ski trip. Absolutely nothing about the accommodation was disappointing. Mostly exceeded expectations. Borderline magical experience for our little family. Already talking about coming back!

Beautiful place, and had everything you need.

The cabin had all the amenities you could need for a peaceful week in the mountains. It was within 10 minutes of the Appalachian Trail and an easy drive into Asheville for a day of shopping. For the cold snowy spring day, we cozied up by the fireplace, made some chili in the Instant Pot, and watched movies. The bedding was clean and beds comfortable, and we all caught up on some much needed sleep!
