This is an excellent getaway for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of Southern Illinois. The price point is great, its much better than a hotel. The washer and dryer is awesome, the kitchen is excellent and would allow someone who can cook to do about anything they want to do. The bedrooms looked great and the living space furniture was fine. I honestly never watched the tv, but it looked like a really nice big screen. Its in a rural spot with very little traffic and quiet, but your minutes away from Carbondale, a little farther down the road is Marion, both places have excellent dining and more city atmosphere. Crab Orchard NWR is almost the back yard.

I am satisfied with this visit. A first anniversary weekend for us. The place lived up to the description. We appreciated having space to enjoy one another and have a small bonfire in the back. The provided kitchen and coffee space was also nice. This place would also be good for a few friends to visit.

We came for a family reunion. This was amazing place for a few family's to stay together. Wish it was not so cold so we could have been outside more. I would go back again.

We loved our stay! The location was great and easy to locate. The home was very clean and spacious enough for our 4 guests. We would definitely stay here again!

although due to weather, I wasn't able to make it Any was still super sweet, thoughtful, very prompt on all communication. She had suggested nearby sightings and was cautious on weather we had had. Hopeful to reschedule in the future. ❤️

This place is adorable! The instructions were very clear, getting in was a breeze, and I felt right at home. Very nice shower! We thought the kitchen decor was reminiscent of a 50s diner. It was great vibes. David was a very friendly host. The house was clean. Overall better than any hotel I could've possibly booked. Would be a great place to bring kids and/or a dog because of that beautiful yard as well. I especially loved the counter space in the bathroom. Made it very easy to do my hair and makeup!

What a cool, unique spot to land! Very comfortable and close to an excellent Thai place. The house offers a movie room and great exterior.

The hosts were flexible, friendly, and responsive. I have never experienced better. They were flexible with an emergency last minute booking. They made my entire trip to Illinois worth it. Thank you!

Michael's place in Cape G is a perfect place to stay while you visit. It's a block from the main drag with plenty of food and bars (check out the record lounge around the corner). There's a garage space, and the balcony on the top floor has views of the Mississippi. The apartment is clean and comfortable, it would be a good medium or long term stay if desired. The bed is comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom are modern. We'd stay again if visiting.

When spending the week with family, I like to have a place to retreat. I like it to be comfortable and low key, but quirky enough to be an experience. I didn’t hesitate to book the schoolhouse next time I was in town.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed both the accomodations and the location. There was a very minor issue with an interior door that was addressed in less than 10 minutes. Host is extremely helpful and responsive.

Great place to stay and within walking distance to great restaurant. Deb was amazing to work with and very responsive. Beds were comfortable and we had a great time. We will definitely stay here again.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property. It is so comfortable and convenient. The hosts are so responsive and helpful. I would definitely come back again when I’m visiting Cape!

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great
