Absolutely loved the house! Couldn’t have had more fun in a weekend on the lake! Caught fish and had a lot of fun games inside. Private place and barely even knew there were neighbors around. Just all around amazing!!

We were so pleased with our week long stay! The house has such an inviting atmosphere - clean, well lit and a terrific layout. It looked as beautiful as the photos, and the structure feels so solid. My astute husband noticed the floors didn't creak at all! The house helped us to enjoy a much needed getaway. The small town had what we needed, and we enjoyed a couple of day trips to the state park minutes down the road. Kathryn was a wonderful host, and I received prompt help to my questions. We look forward to staying again!

The home is beautiful and so peaceful. Everything that you need is there except your food . But we found a place not far off for some grilled fish and shrimp it was good . I loved the Deck on the back of the house the best place to watch the sun come up while having coffee . The house is very spacious And had plenty of room for our party of 10.

James was awesome. everything we needed he had, fun place to be. very private and quiet. Great fishing, views and walking trail. if you wanna get away, I have some time to yourself as well as have fun.This is the place to be.

Mom and Pops place is fantastic. Located on an active farm, I felt right at home watching the family work cattle one afternoon. The location is way off any main road, and you don't hear a peep at night. The owners live right next door and are the nicest people you could hope to meet. I look forward to being in the area for another stay, it was perfect.

I felt welcome in the home. My son absolutely loved fishing out back. The host had Jenga and that was big hit during the rain and hot parts of the day. Kitchen and accessories was very nice. My son is already wanting to go back

Second time staying on this property and it was just as fantastic as the first time! Super clean and very comfortable. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings! About 10-15 minute drive to LA Tech. See you guys again in the fall!!

Quiet and cozy. Lake was really low so we couldn't fish but that didn't stop us from having a restful and peaceful weekend. All around great place to stay!

Great place to stay while visiting Ruston

Brandon's cabin was great. He met us there shortly after we arrived to show us around and make sure our check in went smooth. The hot water is HOT and the beds were very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing being so close to the river. We had a water pipe burst due to mother nature and he was quick to come and fix it for us. He even let us use the washing machine in his near by cabin while he was fixing the pipes (and that place is just as awesome. I would recommend either place) He was quick to respond to all our questions. The road going to the cabin is a dirt road and did have some deeper pot holes of water/mud to avoid due to recent rain. There were people traveling in and out in cars with no issues but just be aware if you have a low profile vehicle and it has rained there recently. But no fault of Brandon's at all, he can't control that. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful sunrises, sunsets, scenery. Plenty of wildlife. Even photographed a bald eagle hunting on the river. Plenty of room inside for 3 people. Could barely even notice the creaking and waves at night. Secluded, yet close to city life. We did have a run in with some wasps, Brandon came out and sprayed for us. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves so much we didn’t want to leave!!

My friends and I had been wanting to get away from town for a while and I had been wanting to go fishing, so this was the perfect spot! We spent all day fishing and after we got done, we hit up a nearby Mexican restaurant, Gonzalez, which was amazing! I liked the location of the airbnb, I felt safe and completely at home! I even caught a few fish off the dock! If you’re wanting to just unplug for a few days and reconnect with nature (but not be too far from civilization), this is the spot! Mrs. Kayla and her husband are super sweet and down to earth, they are more than happy to assist you!
