I can only heartily recommend this place. We booked for almost one week and had an extremely pleasant and relaxing stay. The cabin is really private and is super clean. The deck was great for sunbathing and resting. A perfect base to stay at for exploring the surrounding area (Yosemite, Oakhurst, Mariposa, ...) while you can unwind in your private place. Amazing Airbnb!

Our three-generation family occupied both Gatehouse and Bunkhouse dwellings, where we enjoyed Christmas cheer and feasting. Our thoughtful hosts made our stay uber-comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens, comfy bedding, good hot showers, great spaces to gather--everything as described. But most memorable and utterly out of the ordinary was Alex's guided tour of the quarters still remaining on the storied historic L.C. Ranch. Some buildings dating to the early 1800s, with furnishings lovingly assembled over decades by the family of the current stewards (and much left in place from previous centuries), made for a great place to unwind and explore the astonishing surroundings. Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk, like this precious time capsule, are not to be missed!

This was the most magical stay we’ve ever had at an Airbnb. Everyone was so hospitable and friendly, and the surroundings were nothing short of spectacular.

Hidden Gem truly captures the essence of this place! Tucked away off the beaten path, it's right next to the hosts' home, offering a peaceful view of a pasture with friendly cattle you can feed. The unit was spotless, fully stocked with all the essentials, and featured the softest sheets and thickest towels. We were there for a spring wedding, but the weather unexpectedly turned cold. I reached out to ask if I could borrow a blanket, and Carrie and Vic went above and beyond, providing us with extra blankets and wraps that were total lifesavers! While the property itself was beautiful, it was the warm hospitality and kindness of the hosts that really made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

This was my second time staying at Mick’s bunkhouse. I extended a few times and ultimately couldn’t extend further due to a plumbing issue that required some significant work. Mick was always responsive and proactive in addressing the situation and providing alternatives. Mick was onsite even when sick trying to address the issue. He works very hard and takes a lot of pride in the space and it shows in how it is furnished and maintained. The bed continues to be one of the most comfortable I have had in an AirBnB with a great mattress, linens and pillows. The place is compact without being cramped and well furnished without being cluttered. The kitchen is workable with the small combo oven/microwave and portable cooktop. I regularly baked salmon and seared ribeye. Mick was always responsive to questions and feedback, including providing the rare utensils/amenities that helped improve the comfort and quality of my stay. Highly recommended!

My kiddos went and stayed for Valentines Day, and they had a great time. It was quiet, clean and cozy. it's still close to the big city and a short drive to necessities. The kitchen countertop was absolutely beautiful. Will definitely stay again!

We’ve stayed here twice now. Both times were wonderful. This is our favorite place to stay when we are in town. It’s so quiet and beautiful. Well worth staying out of town but easy to get to where you need to go.

My family had a great time at Hat & Star ranch for a quick getaway during spring break. The ranch is beautiful and we had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the peacefulness.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Between the friendly goats, the hot tub, and the cool rooftop patio this was a really cool experience. I especially recommend for couples. Mathew was very attentive and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Jim & Amy's place was very large and perfect for accommodating a large family. The house was clean and ready when we arrived. They have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The porch is large with plenty of seating and ceiling fans that are very helpful if your stay is during the warmer months. They were responsive and helpful when an unexpected problem occurred during our stay, and went the extra mile to make things right. Highly recommend this house and the hosts!

David and Thaos communication was excellent. The ranch house was amazing and the perfect size as we had family gathering there from all over the country for my moms funeral. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen was a dream to work in. We loved going out to visit the animals. The game room was fun, and the pool and hot tub looked divine. Highly recommend this host and this property for any large gathering. Thank you, David and Thao!!

We had a wonderful stay and PLENTY of room! I wanted a space our family could all enjoy. We had 13 adults and 2 children. There was more than enough space with an extra bedroom to boot! Each room has its own bathroom! Kitchen was well stocked with all amenities we needed and the grounds were so calm and peaceful! The hosts were very accommodating and made it a wonderful weekend! Highly recommend!!!

Brenda and Butch were very welcoming and helpful with directions. The property is beautiful and better than imagined. Spent lots of time relaxing, floating and swimming at the river. (Chevy Silverado 4x4 made the river access very easy.) We also loved fishing for bass in Brenda’s pond! The cabin had all the essentials. We were able to make wonderful meals on the bbq with a breathtaking view. A bald eagle frequented the valley and we held hope to see a bear, but only saw tracks. We really enjoyed our stay at Carley Ranch and we’ll be back! Thanks Brenda and Butch!

What to say about this place - it was the most magical airbnb stay of all time. Not being hyperbolic in the slightest. The ranch is family-run/owned and it shows - every detail, from the exquisite and clean interior of the cabin (the bed is so cozy!) to the free fresh eggs in the communal fridge, is thoughtful and touching. Carly met us upon our arrival and was immediately so warm and welcoming! She toured us around the property, explaining the history of the land and introducing us to all of the animals! A cacophony of bird sounds accompanied every second of the stay, the stars were extra bright, and the entire property was filled with an undeniably magical feeling. The next morning, Carly’s mom (Kelly) welcomed us to join her on her morning feedings, where we once again got to spend time with the wonderful creatures of the ranch (and an even more wonderful human!!). Cannot thank you enough for the gift that was our stay. Just perfect.

we had a great time at Kareva's wonderful Casita. surrounded by wonderful animals and friends folks. it's a great place to deprogram your self and your loved ones from the chaos of work life. we brought our great Dane and Kareva was more than accommodating to Maggie. Make sure to read the instructions as they greatly help you in having a better overall experience.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was very neat and clean. We enjoyed corn hole, ping pong, and basketball. Jeremy was very responsive when we had a question and detailed with a response. I would highly recommend this place if your traveling to San Antonio area looking for peace and quiet!
